Ocean View and pool access~ Sand and Surf

Sand N Surf is one of Folly's Best! This 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo is located across the street from the beach and can accommodate up to 8 people! No need for a car while on the island as Sand N Surf is a block away from shops and local restaurants. The Folly Pier is close by to take an evening stroll and watch fishermen. Downtown Charleston is just a 25-minute drive for the perfect day trip.

It has a well-equipped kitchen and spacious living room with an attached private balcony. The master bedroom has a Queen bed with Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, Smart TV, and en-suite bathroom as well. The third bedroom has 2 twin bunk beds. Parking passes for 2 vehicles is included with this rental as well as a full-size washer and dryer. As an added bonus, there is a pool on site (open April-October). Please note that this unit is on the 1st floor of building 2.

5 friends and I stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding on Folly and it was great! The condo had a view of the ocean on the porch and was a perfect location to walk to and from the restaurants and bars.

Family-friendly Vacation

We had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was great and the beach was very close. We enjoyed beach time and sight seeing in Charleston and Mount Pleasant.

Great unit in a great location

Drove from NJ for 12 hours and were pleasntly surprsed at every aspect of the unit. Close to the beach, easy walk to fun places to eat and shop, and 20 min drive to Charleston and other historic sites. Sunrise at the pier cannot be misssed. Thankful that we lucked into such a great rental.

Weekend getaway with Family

Perfect location and a lovely spot. Rooms are nice and clean; Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. There’s lots of choices close by for restaurants. The beach is very nice and easily accessible. We will definitely be back!

Family Gathering

We needed a place to stay for 3 nights to attend a family gathering. The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants on Center street. The Condo was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great Location

The property was in a great location. Ocean view is a stretch, palm trees block most of the view for 1st floor units. There IS a small peakaboo view on the ends of the deck. Unit was clean but needed some love. Pictures missing off the wall…old furniture and appliances. Size of unit was good for 5 adults.

Deception

The property was poorly maintained. Mold in showers. Confusion at property managers who could not answer questions correctly, ocean view blocked by tree's, overpriced, furniture stunk, mattresses worn out and smelly. Good thing I brought Lysol. Electric outlets not working. Pool very small. Beach access fantastic. I could go on. I will never VRBO again.

Disappointment

As soon as we walked in the unit, we could smell mold, mildew smell. The unit looks as if they went to Goodwill and purchase the furniture and didn’t have it cleaned. Definitely need to upgrade the furnishings and thoroughly clean the ventilation system. There was also no hot water in the kitchen. We love this complex we were just extremely disappointed in this unit. However, the property managers are fantastic and worked very closely with us to try to help us with our situation.

Nice condo

Condo was very clean and comfy! Folly’s Best was not at all flexible with check in. We encountered no traffic and arrived hours early. I went to the office to ask for an early check in and they refused by saying it wasn’t ready. We could see inside the condo and saw that beds were made. They insisted that they had a strict check in time. We would have been more understanding if this was their busy season. Finally, we were offered to check in two hours early IF we would pay $100. We refused. While we realize they have check in times, the lack of customer service was disheartening. We’ve stayed in these condos many, many times. Owners and other property rental companies have been more courteous with check in. We will be mindful on future returns to not choose a condo managed by Follys Best. Folly Beach is one of the most chill and accommodating places which is why we visit 3 times a year. Aside from this issue with check in, everything else was fabulous!
