Could have been better
*Nice Property; Poor Communication*
We arrived at the property almost three (3) hours later than the scheduled check-in time of 4 p.m. SHOCKED 😳! We didn’t have access even though we had prepaid, been provided the address & access code. The property is in in a quiet neighborhood. We were only there for sleeping & even though the temps outside were extremely elevated we were out & about the city all day. The property is spacious & comfortable. Not enough towels for a group of seven (7) unless you launder every day. We had to launder at a relative’s home the 1st two days, because of mildew in the washer. (we did our best to clean/remove it)
We had problems at check-in. Check-in time was stated after 4p. We arrived at 6:45p & couldn’t access the property. The property manager? arrived to question our presence & we were told we did not have paid reservations. After further checking, she confirmed our reservations but would not allow us to enter the property because she was still restocking from the previous tenant. At that time, the outside temp was still exceeding 100 degrees! After much pleading to enter & just sit relax out of the heat (we’d been driving for 8-10 hrs) we were given access. IF ONLY SOMEONE HAD TEXTED OR CALLED TO ADVISE THAT CHECK-IN WOULD BE LATER. We texted the host several times; never heard from him.
We found both toilet seats broken; mildew in the washing machine. We ran a ‘bleach only’ cycle & tried to remove the mildew, to no avail
