We are so happy that other families enjoy the ocean front view as much as we do.We appreciate the comments regarding our beach-like decor as well as the convenience to our wonderful location.It doesn't get much better...bikes rides and much relaxtion at the beach does the body good.

Thanks for your review and your rating. We are glad you enjoyed our SSV 369. As for the pool, this pool is not heated, and therefore is closed until April 1. While it is closed, the sundeck remains open for anyone to sit in the sun, but not to access the pool. The Pool is maintained while it is closed three times per week, which is why it may seem dirty. Starting on April 1, this pool is open for swimming and is cleaned on a 7 day per week basis. Again, thank you for your review and we hope to see you again in the future.

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit. However, I believe this is the first review that was not 5 stars, so I'm disappointed and want to share my thoughts about your comments. We absolutely agree with you that 540 sq. ft. is perfect for two people. More than that is manageable, but nearly as comfortable. We purchased this villa just 6 months ago, but know it was totally renovated by previous owners. We own the one next door, completely put in new drywall just 2 years ago, which is already cracked. You will find that most of the oceanfront villas have cracks in the LR wall.....even right after putting in new walls. Has something to do with shifting sand. Really nothing more we can do. We found the carpet on the balcony to be totally unacceptable on our inspection during early June of this year. Not sure when or how it became so unsightly, as we are on the island several times during the year. We immediately ordered it to be replaced by the management company (order placed June 11). We are on the wait list at the moment, and the job should be done within two weeks.

Hello Amy, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our Sea Side Villa. We are very disappointed with your review, and take serious offense to your description of our villa. We renovated this villa just three years ago, with a completely new bedroom, and kingsize bed. We installed a new shiplap wall in the living room just this year. So, to call this villa old and beat up seems a bit unreasonable. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures we provide on VRBO. As for the cleaning, we pay $125 to have this 500 Sq. ft space cleaned at every guest departure, which should provide for an excellent cleaning. We also pay a significant commission to a local rental company to manage our villas, which most VRBO owners do not. We do this so that our guests have ready access to someone to solve any issues right on Hilton Head Island. So, I have to ask, why didn't you call our agent, the one you would have met when you checked in, and report the problems of cleanliness to them, so that they could have resolved these problems for you immediately? They would have sent the cleaning crew back to the villa immediately! As for the A/C, a Zone line unit in the living room, with ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom, is the most common system for cooling Sea Side Villa units throughout all of Sea Side villas., especially in villas like ours, where the bedroom wall has been removed. This opens up the bedroom for great air flow. (FYI, Zone line units cannot be vented into other room.) Also, we have a portable fan in our villas to augment the A/C for our guests to use if they are uncomfortable. We are sorry this was not a comfortable feel for you. I will surely report your cleaning issues to our management company, as they need to discuss with their cleaning people. Sincerely, Barb and John

Hello Amanda, I am shocked at your review, and feel as if you stayed in someone else's condo. We invested $30,000 into this condo just last year (2019) to completely renovate the bedroom, including all new drywall; repainted the entire villa; purchased brand new king size bed in the bedroom and hotel grade (for an extra $300) sofa sleeper in the living room, which is rarely used, so is actually still very new. We installed can lights in the ceiling, both hallway and kitchen, which have large spotlights in them for an incredibly well lit interior. We installed a brand new air conditioner, plus ceiling fans in both living room and bedroom plus a portable box fan to ensure a cool bedroom. (I assume you did not close the bedroom door as the air conditioner is in the living room and you would be blocking the air movement into the bedroom.) The dining table has two drop leaves, which easily convert it to a full size table for 4, with the extra chairs in the hallway closet. There is a full pantry in the hallway for food storage. The carpet on the balcony is required by our HOA. our preference would be tile, but it is not allowed. We have the condo professionally cleaned following every guest. We pay $100 per cleaning, so if the cleaning was not to your standard, all you needed to do was report it to our management company. This condo has been booked constantly since this renovation, with a very high rebooking rate. I am sorry it did not meet your expectations, but we feel we have done a great job in investing in this condo for the comfort of our guests!

We are happy that you were pleased overall with your stay in our SSV 369. We work very hard to make our villas comfortable, well equipped and beautiful, so we really want to answer the issues that you raise. 1. The luggage carts are not designed to go into the villas, but are supposed to stay outside in the hallway....I am amazed you could get it in!!! 2. That carpet issue on the deck was supposed to be replaced before your visit. The carpet was not at all like that when we inspected in April, but by June it was as you described it. WE immediately requested our maintenance team to replace that carpet, on June 10 actually, but they were so busy, it apparently was not done until your visit. We would have let you know had we known, and thank you for allowing the maintenance team to come in and replace it during your visit. 3. As for the TV, we pay almost $200 per month for a digital package which includes HUNDREDS of channels, plus on demand on the living room TV and 70 channels on the bedroom TV. If you were only receiving 10 channels in the living room something was very wrong with our cable service. Thank you for letting us know, as we are on the island right now and will have the cable company check it out. 4. We clean and service our bikes through a local bike rental company; but they are only as good as the guest who used them before you. Unfortunately, we are not there between each rental, so we have to depend on our guests to return them to the bike racks on good condition. We also keep 3 extra bikes in the bike racks, so that our guests can use the extras if one of the bikes fails. I'm really sorry that you didn't call us because we could have given you the code to another bike for your use. As for the incorrect lock code....our most recent guest had a problem getting the lock off, so we had the bike company come out and change the lock, and asked the guest to write the new code on the directions in the condo. Apparently, they forgot to do that for us. So sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with us. This is the only way we can fix anything that is not up to our standards. Our goal is to provide the Premium rental villas at Seaside Villas, and SSV 369 definitely has a premium view....and we will make sure that everything is as it should be as well.
