Host was very helpful and provided overnight shelter before impending Nor'Easter. Cozy rom - however would have been nice to have a larger sitting room for all guests to enjoy. Grounds could a lot of cleanup, but inside was very cozy and clean.

No Air Conditioning!! Still can’t find that in the listing. It’s still a great spot. Big room, even bigger bathroom with a big shower that I spent a lot of time in cooling off. Very central to all things Bath. Host is an excellent communicator. Perfect for Spring, Fall and Winter. Summer is rough.

The room was fine, and bathroom also. The only thing that seemed a little odd was that there was no way to lock the door on our room when we went out, but otherwise great, and I would stay there again.

We arrived when we told Dmitri we would and he met us at the door, showed us to our room, going up a most unique staircase, answered our question about where to go to find a restaurant for dinner. We appreciated the neighborhood we were in and the comfort of the bedroom, bathroom, and especially the mattress.

Stay in Bath, Maine

The property was clean and in a great location. The communication with the owner was very good. My main concern was that the room was a little cold--but I may not have fully anticipated the temperature of Maine in October!

Clean space. Heads up to future renters: it’s not truly a separate entrance, and there is no lock on the bedroom door — just a hook and eye. This made it feel unsafe. Room and bathroom were very cold, with no way to adjust heat or an auxiliary heat source, so be prepared. There were a couple of blankets that helped. Otherwise, perfectly clean and serviceable, just hard to get a good night’s sleep with doors that would have been easy to enter from outside of the room.

- tte room perfectly safe - no one in that part of the house to enter, besides why would one want to to begin with?.. - to heat the rooms at nearly 80s outside is abnormal, that's all I'm saying. - "separate entrance"?.. separate from what?. The word is 'private'. That means used by guests of that particular guest room ONLY. That includes someone such as yourself, unfortunately.

The description clearly says: "ATTENTION: The room located on 2nd floor, whereas entrance to the house & the bathroom on the 1st. The connecting STAIRS may turn out TOO STEEP for some guests." AC, TV or kitchenette ARE NOT LISTED among the amenities.

Not what I expected

The outside of property was unkempt, overgrown lawn. Property manager changed the entrance I would check in the day before I arrived. I was told door would be unlocked and key would be in plain sight when I walked in. I never found a key. The stairs were so steep and very difficult to get up. The place was clean. The room was smaller than it looked online, it was hot, one small window. Ceiling fan worked on low, when on high it wobbled and clunked so bad I was afraid it would fall off. I never got a number to call. I did not feel safe being unable to lock the door. I also had no idea who else was at the property and couldn't lock my belongings in my room. I ended up leaving and going to a motel. I messaged the manager when I got to the motel. He was not polite in his response. Nor did he offer any type of reimbursement and was adamant the key was in plain sight. It was not, I looked multiple times for a key that was not there. He admonished me for not calling. I couldn't find a phone number in any of the messages.
