I grew up enjoying the Greenbrier River for 50+ years so we bought this sweet cabin to hopefully allow others to fall in love with vacationing on the river.  Hinton Head Cabin located on the Greenbrier River in Hinton WV.  Hinton Head is a quaint log cabin with kitchen, living room, main floor primary bedroom, loft with 2 queen beds & futon bed.  Easily accommodates 6 adults.  Whether it's a girls trip, golf trip, family trip, or couple's trip there is plenty of nature & surroundings to enjoy.  Fish, swim, bird watch (bald eagles commonly spotted), relaxing walk, bike riding, kayaking, relaxing or reading on the porch that looks out on the river or sitting by the fire pit; just come relax by the river, make new memories and enjoy!  River is approximately 50 yards directly behind the cabin depending on the river levels.  
Cabin offers:  3 single kayaks, 1 double kayak, adult life jackets (but since a good fit is important we encourage you to bring your own), charcoal grill, coolers, outdoor games, indoor games, DVD collection, bed linens, towels, refrigerator, stove, microwave, kitchen cookware, dishes, crockpot, toaster, coffee pot with built in filter, washer/dryer combo, smart TV & DVD player in the loft, smart TV / DVD in the living room, electric logs in the living room & WIFI.
Items you might want to bring in addition to your personal items, paper goods, food & beverages.  Kids DVD's & toys, charcoal & lighter fluid, fishing gear, water shoes,  life vest, & bikes.  No pets allowed.

A nicely located, and furnished cottage on the Greenbrier River. Firepit, river access, lovely porches. Comfy accommodations. Great communications with owners. We loved it!

Beautiful cabin right on the Greenbrier River. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we could have needed for our weekend stay. Host was very communicative. We hope to make it back down there!

This cabin is perfect. The furnishing are very clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very well appointed. The best part is the covered porch overlooking the Greenbrier River with comfy wicker chairs and rocker. We spent many hours watching the river flow, reading, and knitting, and listening to all the birds. Even saw a deer walk along the river edge. This is a great location for exploring the rivers in the area, with good access to the New River Gorge National Park and Pipestem Resort State Park. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! And we will recommend it to friends.

Nice stay

Place is great, water does smell very strongly of sulfur. Love location, found lots of crawfish in the water

Macie, glad you guys enjoyed your stay at the cabin. Love that you were able to catch some crayfish and enjoy the river, we have had a great deal of rain and the water levels have been fluctuating daily. Hopefully the well water wasn’t a inconvenience, the water has a filtration system, has been tested and certified safe, and the hot water tank was replaced right before your stay. The water seems to fluctuate and sulfur smell is more prominent after large amounts of rain.

I booked this for a 3 night getaway with my wife and 3 young kids. We arrived to a clean cabin, and a well groomed property with plenty of space for my kiddos to run around and play. I did some fishing with my oldest, some porch sitting with my wife, some running around with my younger 2. We had a great time. The trail to get to the river was easy enough for my 2 yr old to handle without assistance. We sat by the campfire one night and made s’mores. I think we saw 1 person the entire time we were there which was great, as we much prefer wildlife. I should add, the gentleman we saw was very pleasant. During our stay, we got to visit Sandstone Falls, Bluestone Lake, Pipestem State Park(TAKE THE TRAM!). The host was very communicative and everything that you need to know is laid out for you in the booklet. All in all, a 10/10. Thank you to the host for facilitating in our trip being a memorable and enjoyable experience for me and my family.

Relaxing getaway

Driving to the property absolutely beautiful, we arrived the cabin was just what we needed not to much but just enough. It was spotless, well organized and the view was perfect.

This was a great cabin exactly what we needed. Comfort was perfection, fire ring was used nightly. We were able to have float evenings with kayaks and took an adventure day Friday from Pipestem up to Sandstone falls

WV retreat

Cabin was cozy, clean and in a great location. Nice fire pit area and plenty of wood. Sunset fires while you can still see the river were awesome.

Great Cabin on the River

A group of us stayed here for the color the river event & this place was great! Clean with great amenities and the host was awesome! Right on the river with a great covered porch area! Plenty of parking and a great outdoor area. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. The most beautiful area and a walk right to the river! Our children swam and went fishing the entire time! We can’t wait to stay again!

Home was cozy and welcoming! It was a perfect get away for me and my two teen boys! We were really turned off by the smell of the water, I would definitely suggest getting it corrected!

Thank you for your feedback, we so value our guests! The water is well water and has been tested and is perfectly safe for cooking ans drinking; You may have noticed there is a water filtration system that is located in the laundry area but does have the sulfur smell due to the mineral veins in the area.

We absolutely fell in love with this place! It’s perfect! If you’re looking for a clean, new construction, look no further. This place is immaculate! Ms. Tammy is wonderful as well, very informative and quick to respond. We will most definitely be back and we highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice getaway in wild wonderful West Virginia!

Best place on river

Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Walk out on the back patio and have your morning coffee. You will not be disappointed. Quite, comfortable. Great place to rest your brain.

Riverside Getaway

Our family of four (two adults and two children) loved this property for our 3 days in West Virginia. It was clean, QUIET, and the kids absolutely loved playing in the river which was just in the backyard. We enjoyed making smores around the fire pit in the evenings, and ventured out to Pipestem (less than 40 minutes away), Sandstone (30 minutes away) and the New River Gorge National Park bridge (90 minutes away). We would absolutely stay here again!

Cute cozy home.

This was such a wonderful home for a few days with the family. All the water toys were definitely a bonus for us. Games came into play while it rained so that was very thoughtful. Everything was clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook meals with. The water was perfect but I would definitely wear water shoes as the rocks are a bit much for barefoot.

Great getaway for 2

Location on River, takes some effort to get to it with Kayaks but so worth it. Back porch has a rocker and we sat out there each morning and after our fire in the evening. Had everything we wanted. Only 2 negatives - smell of water stinks up the house a bit and neighbor house extremely run down. But not game changers and will be going back again.

Hey Penny, wanted to let you know our neighbors have replaced their roof and working on the gutter & window since the tree feel on their place earlier in the year! We also had our water tested again and got a clean result on the quality of the water even without the water filtration system that we installed last year! Thanks again for your feedback! Thanks Penny for your comments, the house has a well and the area has sulphur base which creates the smell. We have a water filtration system that reduces the smell as much as possible. We hope to see you again soon!
