This recently renovated cottage has a beautiful coastal vibe. Modern amenities come together with vintage accents such as shiplap, hemlock beams and original fireplace and chimney creating a quintessential Maine cottage. Large deck with outdoor dining and lounging and a large yard make it great for one or two families. The house is located two blocks from the town center so it is close to restaurants and shops.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was roomy, clean and well-equipped. The location was perfect for easy access to all of Acadia. We enjoyed being on the quiet side of the island as well.

This home is beautifully decorated and had everything the 5 of us needed for a wonderful 4-night stay! Great promity to Acadia NP, restaurants and shops. Ingrid, our host, was very responsive and ensured we had what we needed. We highly recommend this home!

Our stay at the Coastal Cottage was exactly what we needed as a group of 5 adults. The location was perfect for our adventures around MDI and the house was in great condition! The small touches like having beach towels, extra blankets, coffee, laundry, etc. available made our stay even better.

My friends and I were in town to run the Mount Desert Island half marathon and hike Acadia National Park. We greatly appreciated the amenities provided and cleanliness and warm feeling of the house. The sunroom was a great place to relax. This was the perfect location for us and town was very walkable. Would highly recommend a stay here!

The house is amazing. Lots of space, almost all new outfitting and renovation done, easy to get anywhere you want to go. Totally furnished kitchen complete with things you normally would need to run out and buy (foils, oils, spices, coffee, etc.)We will definitely stay there again!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Our host, Ingrid, was responsive, helpful, and an excellent communicator throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond what we ever expected, even helping us coordinate the shipping of a graduation cake for my niece. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare, and it made our trip feel truly special. She is unbelievably warm, kind, and genuinely invested in making her guests feel welcome.The home itself was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully organized, and exactly as described in the listing. Ingrid provided clear, detailed instructions that answered every question we had about the property, which made settling in effortless. Every detail had clearly been considered with guest comfort in mind.This was our first time booking through Vrbo and our first trip to Maine, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The combination of a beautiful, well-kept home and a host who treats their guests with care made this a stay we will remember for a long time.We could not be happier or more satisfied, and we will absolutely book with Ingrid again. Charming and Cozy Cottage

This house was lovely. The setting was relaxing and quiet. We were able to walk to some of the small local stores and bakeries nearby. Convienent location for accessing the national park and many local attractions. I cannot recommend this home enough. We would definitely go back!

Very clean, lovely cosy home

This home is very clean. We enjoyed our stay and love how cozy the place is. The kitchen is well equipped which was very helpful since we were there during off season and lots of restaurants were already closed.

Great House!

The experience we had with Ingrid, the owner, was exceptional! The house was exactly as stated on the rental description. Southwest Harbour has some nice options for restaurants and is close to Bar Harbor. The updates made to the house were nice and fit the style. If I was going back, I would stay here again!
