Our visit to Galveston and our stay at the Pirates Beach House was truly wonderful. We had originally rented both Pirates Beach and Pirates Cove for my wedding, so it was frustrating when Pirates Cove was canceled at the last minute. A replacement was offered, but it wasn’t next door as planned and didn’t quite match the quality or convenience. That said, Pirates Beach House more than delivered.The house was clean, updated, and in an amazing location—right on the beach. We had a beautiful wedding on the sand just steps away, and it truly made for unforgettable memories.Everyone in our group for the most had positive feedback. We especially appreciated the shrink-wrapped towels and sheets—such a thoughtful touch and a nice way to ensure cleanliness. The beds were not comfortable some felt like we were sleeping on a box spring, when paying for such a nice place the beds should be much more comfortable. The setup worked well for our group overall.Some minor things we noted: there were a several rusted screws on the ground that might go unnoticed unless you’re chasing after a little one. One of us found the pirate figure hanging in the stairway a bit creepy (but also kind of funny). The home was a bit bare bones when it came to essentials like pots, pans, (there was only 1 skillet),cookware, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap, so it might help future guests to know to bring extras.
