Great location and beautiful setting. We rented 2 condos. One was in fantastic shape the other had a couple of issues that kept our review from being excellent on all the review points requested.

Thank you for your review, Gary. We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful setting and the great location. We're sorry to hear from your private feedback that a few minor maintenance items affected your stay. As our many other reviews reflect, we take great pride in responding quickly whenever issues arise. During your stay, we offered to address the first reported item immediately, but we understood that you preferred not to have maintenance enter the condo. We also learned of another issue only after your departure, which has since been addressed. Regarding the air conditioning, the system is designed to automatically shut off whenever the lanai doors are open to conserve energy, and it was operating as intended during your stay. We'll be sure to highlight this in the arrival instructions. We appreciate your feedback and are always working to ensure every guest has a five-star experience. Sugar Sands Team

We LOVED our stay here. We came to celebrate my husbands 30th with our kids and friends and it could not have been more perfect. The space was clean, well equipped and looked really nice. They have everything you could possibly need for a trip to the beach! Loved waking up early and walking down to the beach where a dozen or so turtles were sleeping on the beach, my son loved that part. So many shops and food places a short drive. Such a great place to camp out for the week!

Poipu Kauai, Hawaii is an excellent vacation destination for families and those with small children. The property was as described and our check-in was seamless… no issues. The host was responsive and having stayed in these exact units on a previous trip, we knew what to expect. Condo D110 was updated and well equipped, while D111 might have the living room furniture professionally cleaned. Unit D111 also met all our needs The pool was clean and warm and our children loved it. The parking lot needs spaces lined with new paint as the cars were haphazardly parked and this limited our ability to find an open space when returning from shopping or dinner. We would definitely return and hope to visit the island again. Susan

Thank you, Susan, for the thoughtful review! We’re so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. We also appreciate you pointing out the furniture in D111. We’ve already arranged for a new couch to be shipped out, so that will be addressed for future guests. We’ll also pass along your feedback about the parking lot to the HOA. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we’d love to welcome you back to Kauai again!

Great condos, amenities and location in Poipu

Our family of 10, grandparents, adult children and grandchildren had a great 8 days in these two side by side well equipped condos. The condos are very comfortable with all the needed amenities, beach equipment and toys, clean, and 5 minutes walk to a great bodysurfing and boogie boarding beach, which we all loved, especially the kids. The owners were great in communication and follow up and very accommodating. We highly recommend this place and are coming back.
