This 6,000 square foot home is split into two identical suites. The “Turtle” and “Dolphin” suites can each accommodate eight adults, with private living areas, and kitchens that can seat 12.

We loved this property........had a large group so had both units. They were very clean and updated......lovely units. Access between units was a few step walk across a deck. Plenty of room/beds for our family of 16. We loved having easy access to the beach ....walking distance to surf shop, bakery and even other shopping within a mile.Highly recommend this property and the host and would absolutely stay here again.

Wedding gathering

The setup was perfect for hosting both families for the wedding couple. The decks facing the ocean were nice as well as the lawn, picnic tables and grills. Easy walk to the beach and restaurant.

Great trip

We loved the location of the house, the easy access to walk to the beach was fantastic! We rented both sides of the house for our large group and it worked well. The layout is definitely a bit funky in the upstairs with sliding doors & no closets, but it was nothing that impacted our stay. The house was very clean when we checked in, however there was some trash around the outside of the house. Nothing terrible, but it could have been picked up. Our codes to get in the house did not work so I had to call to get them reset which took several tries. They were very helpful, but it was frustrating for a group of 14 people to be waiting in the rain to get inside after a long day of travel. Overall we had a great time & would stay at this house again.

House interior needs renovation.

Before we went into the house we noticed a broken glass pane on one of the windows. The other windows badly needed cleaning. The flooring in the Turtle side had gaps between the artificle wood pieces with some pieces loose. The flooring near the kitchen sink and bath tub had swollen and was deteriorating. Upstairs ceiling fan did not work. Kitchen table top worn and chairs bindings broken and missing. Bottom of Balcony vertical support post loose. I have photos of some of these problems.Now for the good items. The location of the House is very convient to the beach and the size was also very large and roomy. The staff promply brought us replenishment paper products.

Kauai Exclusive very responsive

It was exactly as described. Rented both condos and had plenty of room for all 16 of us. Had a few minor problems the first day that were unavoidable and were addressed immediately. Plenty of parking for all of our vehicles which we didn't need to use because it was a very short walk to the beach. Would recommend this property for a worry free vacation.

Family Gathering

There were 16 of us, using both sides of the unit. What a great place for a large family gathering! Sleeping arrangements worked great. Having 2 kitchens made meals easier. We had incorrect house codes upon arrival, but I called and they took care of it immediately. One of the dishwashers wasn't working, but when I contacted them after hours they responded immediately and had it fixed the next day. Not everything was perfect, but the customer service we received from Kauai Exclusive was outstanding. We'd definitely stay there again.

Beautiful amazing stay!

We loved staying at this property!! It was even bigger than it looked in the photos and had additional pull out trundle beds that came in handy. We used both sides for our wedding party to stay during our wedding weekend and it was fantastic. It's steps away from the beach and having access to the Poipu athletic club a short walk away was perfect.

Great property, great location

The dolphin and turtle suites worked perfectly for hosting us, our kids, and our grandkids. They could walk to Poipu Beach, Brennecke's, and there were so many nearby places to go. The property was the perfect size for our large group.

Great location!

The location is fantastic with an easy walk to Poipu beach and places to eat. It was slightly frustrating that the kitchen didn't even have salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have some basic spices. The kitchen sink leaked and our upstairs AC didn't work. The fix for that was super slow (two very warm and humid nights).

Overall good experience, some issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros-Great location. Ran down to watch whales @Beach in 2 minutes. Oodles of space.Can’t beat price for location and amount of space. Amenities for the rental were phenomenal. All top-notch furniture. Provided extras-three grills, condiments, cooking oil, foil, saran wrap, spices, detergent and dryer sheets, beach toys, boogie boards. Service-quick response to requests always a yes, yet with some room for improvement. Called to express concern about front door lacking a deadbolt (young children running out). Person came out same day and installed a door latch. Even fulfilled baking powder request. Cons- Communication-number of instances of failed/bad communication. During reservation process, mentioned needing a high chair and late checkout. No high chair upon arrival and the late check out was not communicated to the cleaning crew. Service was good but too discrete. The high chair was brought over quickly but no call to us. Wife was “surprised” when someone came upstairs to use the bathroom. When we requested things, they would be brought over had to “discover” them. Facilities-One bathroom tub faucet was way too short. The water hit the edge of the tub rather than went into the tub and spilled everywhere. No closet or wardrobe for upstairs. Doorbell and house phone weren’t working. wireless went down twice. ran out of trash liners. Were missing utensils such as the BBQ tools, can opener (apparently all next door). Not enough bowls for cooking/serving. Overall experience was good. Genuine effort to go above and beyond by Kauai Exclusive really stood out. Would definitely stay again.

Location, Location, Location!

It's a 2 minute walk to Kalapaki Joe's, a 4 minute walk to the beach, and a 6 minute walk to Brenneke's. Located on the south side of the island, it's convenient to drive to any point of interest or excursion. The place is huge with plentry of storage and places to hang out. Our group was just two couples and we each got our own floor, but larger groups would be easily accommodated.

Fun times in Poipu!

Great house at a great location next to one of the best boogie board beaches on the Kauai. That was a BIG plus since it was an easy walk for the kids, which means me and my wife didn't have to drive them everywhere to keep them "entertained". The house is HUGE and our kids and their friends were "somewhere" upstairs or outside mostly leaving us to enjoy the downstairs until somebody got hungry. We all walked down to the beach park for our daily swim and to watch the turtles feed. The house was well stocked with everything from kitchen ware/appliances, dish and laundry soap, plenty of towels and even some spices. We could see the ocean from the upper deck and I slept outdoors under the stars there one night. Even saw a shooting star! We used the AC when we first got there but next day we opened the windows and let the nice breeze in for the remainder of our time. Very safe, secure location for kids to wander in. Kauai Exclusive has some other very nice properties but this one was sure great for big family fun. Josh was easy to work with. We will use them again when the time comes.

A Beautiful Spot!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the pleasure of staying a week at 'The Dolphin' in Poipu. The facilities were fantastic and very comfortable, although there were a few issues with some of the kitchen appliances. Even though the suite is right next door to a bar/restaurant the noise level was usually quieted after 8:00pm making relaxation possible and sitting out on the deck watching the ocean was lovely. The fact that we had a very short walk to the great beach at Poipu was also greatly appreciated the evening that there was a tsunami we were outside of the area that had to evacuate! We also appreciated having a sheltered space for our rental car and knowing that no matter how crowded the beach became that we always had a private spot to park. We look forward to returning again in the future and will certainly book again.

The interior is big, clean and new. Very practical and efficient. We enjoyed it and we were fortunate to have stayed here. Mahalo
