Great location. The Neighborhood was great and close to everything..grocery stores, clothing stores, tons of resteraunts etc. The pool wasn't open but I can see how it would be an enjoyable environment. Back yard was fenced in and private with fire pit and patio furniture. I would stay again if the opportunity arises.

It was a great stay! The house is comfortable, and for the hot summer days, the pool was a welcome relief. The communication with Missy was good and the responses were quick.

Girlcation!

We had an excellent time! Great area! Owner was fantastic to work with!! Pool and patio area were a great relaxing area. Even played blackjack a few nights, lol. If we ever go to that area again, would definately stay there!

Perfect for our family

Clean, spacious enough for 9 of us. The kids loved the pool and all the fun toys. Great communication with host. Very helpful when we needed help with a situation.

Great Place for The Family!

We recently took a trip to Dayton to enjoy the air show and Air Force Museum. This was in a great location to easily get around Dayton and close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Great communication by the owner it has everything you need for a good stay.

Family Gathering

We rented this house for our family and parents when we came back for a family funeral. It was a great location, perfect place to unwind after hectic days, and father to eat and relax. Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautiful Backyard

We rented this house so that we could see the Aullwood Trolls and The National Airforce Museum. The location was perfect and the house was the right size for us. The backyard was our favorite. We spent the afternoon swimming and the evening by the firepit. We enjoy this house and would rent it again.

Great place bad weather

The place was nice easy to find plenty to do. They provided lots of games and a blackjack table lol I don’t know how to play. Definitely a home away from home. We picked the wrong weekend to come it rained most of the time so we couldn’t use the pool 😢

I do believe there is an expectation when you rent a "home" and as with all things there is always room for " attaboys" and " improvements". First, let me begin with the good things: convenience. This home is close to many things-restaurants, Target, little shopping towns, coffee. In nice weather, the backyard has a great pool that is very large and accommodating. Great spring, summer, and fall home stay. It is definitely pet-friendly, which we appreciated. The layout of the home is great, the kitchen is really up to date, and parking is perfect. a few observations, first, dust and dirt ( fans were terrible, carpet seemed and felt dirty), blinds are broken throughout, the backdoor had no blind or shade so neighbors can't peer in, the house had a musty smell, and the rugs at the entry and throughout were WELL used, sadly, and to me, the bedding wasn't clean as I had to wash blankets and sheets before using. Based on experience, here are a few suggestions that won't cost much but can really improve this older home for future guests. Go WHITE! White sheets, white bedding, white towels- they're bleachable and look crisp and neat and clean. Washable, hypoallergenic pillows-no feather pillows. Lamps and chairs in each room. For less than 1000, you could transform all bedrooms, replace the rugs, and update all linens. It is a bit too high-priced for the neighborhood and level of home, but in a pinch we appreciated the stay.

Hi Chris, We appreciate your review and are glad you enjoyed our home. I do apologize about the fans. Yes, I did forget to dust them. I was rushing to accommodate your 2 hour early check in and missed them. That shouldn't have happened and I do apologize. The bedding including the mattress covers were washed by me ,the same day as your arrival, so Im confused on that statement. We have a 6 foot privacy fence the surrounds the back yard that offers complete privacy. We appreciate your feedback and hope you did well at your tournament . Take care, Missy co-host

Convenient and quiet location

We visited both Springfield and Dayton. This spot is convenient to both. The neighborhood is quiet. The parking is either in the wide driveway or on street. The beds are comfortable. We didn’t use the game table but wished there was a full size dining table there instead. Having said that, we didn’t have our meals at the property often as we preferred to explore Dayton and surrounding areas. The light switches are quite a jumble. There were lots of cobwebs and spiders there. We had to do some clean up for that which explains the cleanliness rating we have. We didn’t use the pool because it had just been opened for the season and some of the days were too chilly for a swim. The hosts are kind and responsive and responded quickly to any questions we had. We didn’t take any photos while we were there.

We were unfortunately not very happy with our stay at this property. While the pictures and description made it seem like a great spot, the reality didn’t meet expectations—especially for the nearly 1,000 we spent for the weekend.The front door was extremely difficult to lock, and the sliding glass door didn’t lock at all—posing a major safety concern since we had children with us and the house has a pool.Cleanliness was also an issue. The floors weren’t clean they left our feet dirty, and there was a noticeable fly and gnat infestation throughout the house. We also weren’t able to use the grill due to how dirty it was, which was disappointing given we had planned meals around it.We did communicate our concerns to the host, but the responses felt more defensive than apologetic. While they mentioned having high cleaning standards, our experience didn’t reflect that. We were offered explanations but no real sense of accountability or resolution.This rental was simply not worth the cost, and we would not stay here again.

Im sorry you weren't happy with your stay. The 1st we heard from you was because the blinds dont block out all the light so you could put your child to bed. We apologize for that however none of our rooms mention black out curtains. Yes the front door can be aggravating and that is why We do provide our guests with a key to the side door next to the driveway to use as an option. I personally do the cleaning and strive for a 5 star review. I assure you, if your socks were dirty , it wasn't from our floors as I mop my way out of the house every time. I do also let my guests know I am literally across the street should ANY issues arise.. I would have immediately came over and addressed any of your concerns had you mentioned them prior to your leaving. Flies can be an issue in July and they bite. They will quickly get in the house if the door to the pool is left open. Im very sorry you didn't feel it was worth the money, as our reviews will show, Thankfully, most disagree with you.
