Would absolutely stay again. I would give an 8/10 only because of a couple issues. First you cannot see the ocean from the balcony due to the restaurant and bushes. To see the ocean you would need to be on the 2nd to 4th floors. The dog area is very small but not a deal breaker. The place was very clean except for the dishes. We had to rewash the ones we were using. The hall tub faucet needs updated as you can't use the shower due to little pressure because of the faucet. The kitchen sink and living room furniture could use an upgrade but again not a deal breaker. Also per husband's request the masterbath toilet needs updated to ADA. Overall we had a great stay and will stay at the colony again however next time will pick a different one on a higher floor to be true oceanfront room.

Great parking. Very clean. Great locationPlease look at the washer. I tried to do a small load and it is very off balance. Plus it left small holes in 2 shirts.

The condo was great. However, map of the buildings was very lacking. Never found the way to the beach. Luckily had family staying in one that was on the beach. Also, the rooms signs were gone so took 30 minutes to find upon arrival.

A relaxing time.

The location of the condo is excellent and very acceptable if you have love ones who have mobility issues due to older age. The adjustable king size bed was wonderful to have. The staff at the whole place were very professional and accommodating.

Easy Weekend on Tybee

We've stayed at Beachside Colony a few times and have always loved it. Right on the beach, 2 pools, and a restaurant next door that operates a pool bar. This unit was amazing. Very clean, everything was operable, and the unit was exactly as described in the listing. Check-in process couldn't have been easier. The team is highly responsive over text and call. Clear check-in instructions are provided through text and email. Not that it changes a ton, but it was really sweet how nice Ms. Stacy was to me when asking questions. Couldn't ask for better parking on the island. Covered and right next an elevator that takes you right down a walkway to the unit, but not too close where you hear people going up and down all day/night. The balcony opens to the east so you can enjoy some morning sun and a nice shady afternoon. I'd just like to mention again, the beach is RIGHT there. I mean a 3 minute, private, leisurely walk to the beach. Tybee's park is literally across the street and the unit is walking distance to 2 beach shops, convenience stores, and restaurants. Loved the unit, Beachside Colony, and of course Tybee Island.

If the picture was supposed to be the unit. It no longer looks like this. The unit was clean but a strong pot odor hits you in the face on the first day. It did go away.

The condo was a first floor unit with an advertised view of the pool. The shrubs were not maintained at a level you could see the pool or anything else when sitting on the deck.

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own. The location offers the best of the island—easy beach access, a true resort atmosphere, and a place I’m proud to share with guests.
