This cabin exceeded our expectations. They provided EVERYTHING and more! The first night we sat out on the porch and listened to the rain, just rain. The bed was so comfortable and our dog actually slept through 3 nights until 7am. That is unheard of in our house! 4 paws from her and us! Very beautiful and clean all the way throughout the cabin. Thank you for this slice of heaven!

This was the perfect cabin for my 5 day vacation with my Dad. Looked even better than the photos and was really nicely decorated. Lots of room for the 2 of us, and we loved sitting on the rockers on the front porch. The furniture, including beds, sofas, and chairs were all very comfortable. There were even postcards available for us to use at the desk in the upper loft! The lot by the river was nice, with chairs, a rocking bench, fire pit, and rock steps down into the water. Very peaceful, and we saw a family of deer crossing upstream. I will definitely rent again if I go back to this area.
We saw deer several times during our stay.

I can’t say enough about this cabin. Lorraine and Steve have everything covered for you to have a comfortable and pleasant visit. It was very clean and stocked with everything you might need. This is our second time renting and will definitely be coming back.

Another wonderful trip to West Jefferson

This was our third time renting this cabin. It is a wonderful place to stay while in West Jefferson. The cabin is well maintained and comfortable for us and the neighborhood is really quiet. Hope to keep going back!!!

Perfect

The 3 things we had to have in a place where that it was dog friendly, super clean and private. Blue Ridge Hideaway was all of this and so much more. Without a doubt, it deserves the 10/10 stars it has.

Great Mountain Retreat

What a great cabin! This was one of those rare VRBO rentals where you could literally just show up with your luggage and some groceries/snacks, and you would have everything you needed for a few days stay. The amenities the owners provided were thoughtful and appreciated, and we really liked that the kitchen gadgets/utensils, etc., were of nice quality. The cabin was an easy 15 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and downtown West Jefferson, and the roads leading to the cabin itself were driveable and accessible. The owners were quick and efficient in their communication. And, the river lot just down the road from the cabin was a nice bonus. We let our dogs off the leash in the river lot and just let them "dog" for a couple of hours, and they had a ball, while we sat in the provided chairs and just enjoyed the quiet trickling of the river while watching over them while they played. We are already planning a return trip to this cabin for next summer so us humans can enjoy some river lot fun. Thank you for sharing your cabin home with us!

Perfect spot for attending a wedding at Summit

Great QUIET spot surrounded by trees. We found it perfect to get to two days of wedding events in Jefferson (15 min drive) and Summit wedding venue on Cross Mountain. Allowing us a peaceful retreat the rest of the time. There were three of us and we loved all the varying comfortable sitting spots. Kitchen is well stocked. Overall comfortable and cozy. we only had time for an hour of sitting by the river but Can imagine many hours enjoying the swing and fire pit and yes the river if weather cooperated:) great getaway spot.

Very Peaceful

This is a lovely property. There were multiple sightings a day of the resident deer making their way around the various properties. The access to the river is a short walk or drive away and is quite nice! The kitchen is very well provided and the beds are very comfy. The nicest surprise was Heated Toilet Seats! Would totally do this one gain.

Great house, but...

The house was awesome. The ad is deceptive because you dont find out that the "Riverside" is actually a seperate piece of property a couple miles away until after youve paid for it. It was very poor management for the owners to schedule the worlds slowest landscapers on our first actual day there (i checked in around midnight so the house was vacant the entire first day of the rental). I really didnt like waking up on the first day of my honeymoon to a young man outside my bedroom window, for hours! Ants. Black ants. Crawling on you on the couches and on the kitchen counter.

The Best in Ashe County

We have stayed in this beautiful cabin several times and are always amazed at how much more we enjoy it each visit! You will not rent a cleaner, more comfortable and well stocked house anywhere else! Highly recommend this place!

BEAUTIFUL home

This home is beautiful, clean, has updated bathrooms and everything you need to cook with in the kitchen. The owners are very responsive to messages and quickly. I don’t usually leave feedback, but I did want to this time. I don’t usually drink the water at the Homes and make coffee but I did this time water was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend. King size bed was more comfortable than mine. Gas logs were very welcoming. We did have five deer visitors in the yard one day. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great place to stay

The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was cold and we so enjoyed the gas fireplace. Loved the 'reading room' upstairs. The neighborhood is also very nice. Would happily stay again.
