We enjoyed our stay at the mountain chalet. The location was perfect and it was a cozy stay with the fireplace and amenities. We agree extra seating would be nice but we’re able to make do with a smaller group. We also were there for a snow storm (which was wonderful! ) but needed a shovel and couldn’t find one. Some of the instructions in the book were not accurate (there is no garage??). We could not reach the management company for questions. Overall a good stay and time in Tahoe.

Great house with one big caveat

We loved the house and the pictures are very accurate. However, our family skis at Sierra at Tahoe, and we live in San Francisco. We choose Homeaway properties in Meyers so that we are closer to the ski resort and so we don't have to drive into downtown South Lake Tahoe. We were very upset to find out AFTER booking this house that we had to check-in at the Tahoe Keys Rental Office which is a 15 minute drive into South Lake Tahoe from this property. That's a 30 minute round trip waste of time to check-in. And then to check-out on Sunday morning, we had to drive 15 minutes back into South Lake Tahoe, but since there were hundreds of cars driving out of South Lake Tahoe, it took us 45 minutes to drive back to Meyers!! That's 1 hour of wasted time when we want to get to the resort and start skiing asap. Yes, the house is great, but the check-in/check-out process is ridiculous and archaic. We have stayed at 4 Homeaway rentals in the South Lake Tahoe area the past two years, and all the other rentals either have a lockbox at the rental house or use some kind of keypad/electronic lock to access the front door. Having to drive 30 minutes round trip out of our way just to retrieve the physical front door key is too inconvenient and outweighs this house's many advantages. We will not return to this house unless the check-in/check-out process improves.

This house needs lots of TLC. The living room furniture needs replacing. The washer dryer was no where to be found. The lady in charge said d it was user error when no water came out of f shower. She was rude in all communication. I would not stay here again.

Nice cabin

Downstairs beds were comfy, upstairs were okay, old spring beds. Cabin was comfortable and clean. We liked all the natural eco products they use. We had to shovel stairs from the driveway along the walkway and chop up the ice it was dangerously slick. The dogs liked it & Nice neighbors & neighborhood to walk.

Summer trip

Overall a nice place to stay! We had a good time and it was a good sized house for a group of 8 could even fit more if you wanted. The pool table was slightly falling apart and the queen bed upstairs might have bed bugs. Or my cousin was allergic to something because she woke up with bites.. other then that overall nice stay and close enough to the Stateline and lakes to have a good time!

Quiet restful comfortable but somewhat unclean

Broken screen laying outside kitchen. Enjoyed large bedrooms, adequate kitchen & outdoor deck. Peaceful. Secure neighborhood. * Floors throughout were dirty, kitchen a bit unclean & cobwebs.

Clean and neat place to stay!

Nice place and sleeps 10+ people! The pool table and the board games are excellent! Good internet connectivity! Just few suggestions! Would be nice of they add more furniture to the living room area! The pots and pans in the kitchen looks too old , would be nice if they replace them! Also add some glass or tupperware to pack lunches when you want to cook and take it with you while exploring the place!

Great Cabin

We loved the cabin! Comfy beds lots of room. Could use an update on the games & DVD's and we had to request a snow shovel since we couldn't find one. Maybe some bean bags or an extra couch since most of us were laying on the floor watching TV. Overall we had a great time.

99 Bears on the Wall

This lovely cabin is nestled in the pines in Meyers, just several miles from South Lake Tahoe. Outdoor activities such as walking, biking, hiking, climbing are minutes away. The house sleeps 10 comfortably, be prepared to share a room. Kitchen is stocked with the basics and plenty of dishes, we had to buy hand towels. If you want a fire bring wood or be prepared to buy some. Plenty of grocery stores near by, the market down the street is well stocked. Overall we give it a 4 out of 5 mainly due to limited seating in family room and limited parking when you have a large group.

Lovely home and location

Set in beautiful evergreen grove, quiet neighborhood, close to So. Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf without being in the press of traffic. House was well-equipped, comfortable, good entertainment choices. Management very helpful, ran over with a blender when the one there was broken.
