Wright Salty is pet friendly & located at Milepost 8, between the bypass and beach road in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, just a 2 minute walk to the beach access at the Ocean Bay Blvd beach access. Conveniently located near the Wright Brother’s Memorial National Park, Nags Head Wood Trails, and fishing piers, this home is fully equipped for the beach with beach chairs, beach cart and umbrella. Enjoy the outdoor living space with picnic tables and ample seating.

OBX getaway

This is our second stay at Wright Salty and each time is better than the last. It's always clean, stocked full of all the beach things you could need and so relaxing.

Quick Beach Trip

The house is in an excellent location near the beach and near many attractions like Jockey’s Ridge and the Wright Brothers Memorial. Kill Devil Hills is a great spot to start and reach anywhere else on the Outer Banks. The house was very clean. The outdoor space is great.

A Perfect Spot

This rental is wonderful. It's essentially across the street from beach access. And I don't know when I've seen a vacation rental with such a well- appointed kitchen. This wonderful house has everything you could want. And it's SUPER clean and comfortable. The hosts are excellent communicators. I would 100% rent from them again and would definitely recommend Wright Salty to friends and family. It's perfect!

Great stay!!

We stayed 2 nights. It was the perfect little cottage for our family. Very clean. Area was great and close to the beach. Everything we needed and then some. We would love to come back and stay longer.

Just what we needed

Cozy place that fit our family just right. Super-clean with plenty of amenities. Only knock: the half-bath is only accessible outside and is unheated. Otherwise, highly recommended.

The Wright place to stay

Wonderful property. It is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a long weekend or a full week stay. Ocean views from the upper deck are a plus. Beach access with restrooms is just across the street as is the Stop N Shop for all your shopping needs including a great deli. Dog friendly so you can travel with the whole family. Have visited twice and will return. Only problem is when you have to leave and go back home.. Enjoy.

Perfect getaway with our pup!

My boyfriend and I had a spectacular time here with our dog! I initially booked a 4-night stay here. The week before our booking, I asked the owner if we could add an additional night. The owner was prompt and luckily a 5th night was available and added without an issue! The house was clean/tidy, the photos online were very accurate, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the location was optimal. We enjoyed cooking dinner and eating up on the top balcony; nice view and breeze. We used the bikes (with bike lock) to check out the Wright Brothers Memorial. The bike tires were low, so we filled them at a nearby gas station (a hand pump would be a good addition). Also, the supplied beach umbrella broke on the first day. We notified the owner and ended up buying a replacement ourselves at Lowe's. The outdoor shower is spacious and came in handy multiple times. We did not utilize the washer/dryer. I would definitely return to this home and recommend it to others based on our trip in June 2024! :)

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful stay. We booked this trip about a month out from when we planned to stay and we were looking for a house that we could bring our German Sheppard with us. The weather was forecasted to be raining the whole time but the proximity of the house worked out in our favor because when we saw that we had a 2-3 hour break in the rain, we’d run out to the beach. The house had everything we needed. Close proximity to all the shops and exactly where we wanted to be. Host was very responsive and helpful!

Weekend with daughter stationed in VA Beach Navy.

It was a little cool to totally enjoy the beach but did have one good afternoon. The wagon worked great for this and we rode bikes a lot to get around, loved that they were included. It was just the three of us but really enjoyed location. Thanks

Perfect Spot near the beach

Absolutely lovely place. Lots of room to spread out, kitchen well stocked to cook in. Loved the multiple decks. Bikes, cart chairs and umbrella for extra fun! Paul answered my questions quickly. Check in and out were super easy. So happy I could bring my dog. Made it just the perfect place for my family to stay.

Relaxing stay

My family had a wonderfully warm and breezy stay at this adorable beach house. It was the perfect mix of old and new with all the the conveniences of a home on the beach. We had access to supplies for cooking at the house, four bikes, and basic items needed for a day at the beach with a cart! The availability of these items made our stay that much more enjoyable because we didn't have to worry about securing or bringing these supplies from home. Communication with the owner was easy, as was check in and out. Thank you to our hosts for a relaxing stay. You made our first trip to the OBX easy, leaving a lasting impression that will make it easy to return to the area again in the future!
