Pleasantly surprised

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view of the ocean was fantastic and the walk to the beach was close, considering there are long walkovers across the dunes and wildland marshes. The size of the unit was great for the 7 family members that came. Weather turned out better than expected. We spent most of our time on the beach, so we didn’t spend much time taking advantage of the amenities, especially since the pools were closed one afternoon & evening. We would definitely stay again at this vacation unit!

Great location and property

Fantastic location and a beautiful property—perfect for a fun family getaway in Galveston. The condo had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. Highly recommended!

Super clean & lots of amenities

Our family had a great week and made a lot of memories! This property was very clean and had great amenities for my family of 7.Pros:- excellent view of the gulf- short walk to the private beach- covered parking- elevator to the room- trash shoot down the hall- well-kept property- two really nice pools, one with a lazy river- VERY comfy beds and pillows- washer/dryer worked really well- great water pressure- WiFi connection was great for all 7 family members and their devices- had an issue with the master bath and not having hot water; property management was quick to communicate back and sent plumber out quickly to fix the issue - no issues after that - A/C works very well and felt nice after being out in the hot and humid weather - large dining table outside on the patio with gorgeous viewsCons:- on the end west end of the island, far from all things touristy (about 30 minute drive)- smoke detectors went off multiple times for no reason, we weren’t even cooking and there was no smoke; each time lasted about 10-15 minutes which isn’t long but super loud and not convenient- took awhile to figure out the dishwasher, there’s a switch by the garbage disposal that gives power to it; once we figured out, it worked well but would have been nice to have been noted or labeled- master shower is WIDE OPEN and we froze while in the shower and water sprayed all over the floor, which had to be cleaned after we warmed back up

Mini Family Vacation

My husband and I took our family down to galveston and this was the perfect place. The condo was beautiful and super cozy. There was plenty of space for our big family and we had the best time!

I would stay elsewhere if I did it again

Property management response time and attitude is poor. Was never told beach club hours for check in to get wrist bands, which is going to cost you an additional 25 per person, so we couldn’t use any amenities first night due to being 30 minutes after they closed. Golf cart was in the spot we were told we would have under the condo, property management said it’s not the owners and they were calling local team and security and would call me back but never heard from them again. Went up to the room to find note of fridge from owners saying it was theirs and if we can’t fit next to it we’d have to find parking elsewhere. Parking was always taken so we had to park in the middle of the road as advised by security to load and unload children. Master shower didn’t work or we couldn’t figure it out, property management never got back to me so we were without that the whole time. Also something minor was table on back patio is now a different one from the pictures online.

Great stay

We had a great stay. It was kind of late in the season so Pointe West was quiet, not many on the beach or in the pools. Sunset sands was really nice and clean. The patio table was missing, maybe damaged during the hurricane but we made due just sitting in the chairs. The beds were comfy. We did not do a lot of cooking but for what little we did we found pots and pans to meet our needs. Our code expired a day early but that was quickly resolved, we just hung out on the beach while we waited. All in all we had a great time and hope to return.

Fabulous!

This condo was absolutely beautiful with everything we needed and such modern upscale decor! All the appliances were state of the art and all the living spaces were all so comfortable and inviting! It was a wonderful respite for one of our friends undergoing cancer treatment! The rental agency was very responsive when we had a question about how to turn on the primary shower! It was a fabulous property and we will make this our "go-to" condo for future status!

Simply Beautiful!!!

Let me start by saying the condo is just beautiful! For me, the selling point is always the mattress. And that’s probably the best mattress I’ve ever slept on. Everything was just great. There were a couple of minor issues that I emailed the team about but nothing major at all, we had a great time. It was a family of ladies and grandkids and we enjoyed the condo and all the amenities of point west.

I gave a lower rating due to the cleanliness of the property.

The location was great and we loved the condo….the main issue was the cleanliness of the property. We had kids with us and found pills on the carpet in the bedroom…none of the rugs had been vacuumed, there was blood on one of the lamps….after cleaning this property the stay was great. The condo itself was beautiful. We never could get the wifi to work. We messaged to let them know and they said they would get back in touch and never did. We made the best out of our stay and did enjoy our visit! Hopefully they will bring in a more thorough cleaning crew!

Perfect Beach Stay

Property is well placed in the Pointe West development (near beach access and Beach Club). It is very nicely decorated, in great shape and well stocked. Outside space is great for dining and relaxing. I would absolutely rent again. My ONE complaint is that info on Wi-Fi in Guest Portal was not correct, nor did the info on the bottom of the router work. I reached out at least 4 times and did not receive a response. For future rentals, I know to get this information up front. However, if there was a more acute issue (AC/appliance), this lack of response could be a problem.

OK Place with bad communication, photos misleading

My main issue with this property was the lack of communication once I reached out with concerns. I sent a message immediately upon checking in and it is now a week later and still no one has reached out. I contacted both the host and the property management company with my concerns and not one person has reached out to discuss.Positives-Beautifully decorated-Clean-Great location-Loved being given a fresh sponge to do dishesNegatives:- Major construction is going on so there is no parking under the building. This was not communicated, Luckily we were on the 1st floor but even that has stairs and no elevator use.-There is no dining table on the patio as advertised and one of the reasons I specifically booked this unit was to be able to eat all our meals outside.-The cushions provided for the lounge chairs are too small and don’t fit. The patio was the biggest selling point and it turned out to be unusable.-I had specifically asked what kind of coffee maker was provided so that I could bring the right kind and they said keurig. When I arrived there was only a regular coffee maker. -The door leading to the patio wouldn't close all the way. I woke up to an open door twice and we were all women traveling alone. Not safeI really wish you would have advertised the construction zone and lack of usability of the patio because I feel duped. This is not a cheap place to stay and the reasons we chose it over other rentals are all the things that we couldn't use.

Cleaner and neatly organized, easy to work with Property Mangement

Great location, cleaner rooms and easy to work with management. Just that we did not find the Iron, Hair dryers and also the Parking space was not mentioned in the VRBO portal but email said a different parking constraint which threw us off though later property management confirmed about the spaces
