It was located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The suite was very nice and clean upon our early check in. Our host Mr. Davis was very pleasant and met all of our needs.

Best time ever. Happy New Year 2025

Larry’s place was just what we needed! The bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. The island people are like extended family, everyone was super nice and welcoming.

Great experience

The owners were tremendous in helping us around the island to enjoy everything that you would want to experience. Great location, nice place, no issues. Had a car and was able to get from East to West. Grocery and liquor store was close, and when we needed something else, Larry and Simone were able to help us and get it. Wouldn’t trade anything for our stay, super happy with the room, location, and service. Will be back!

Amazing Beaches and Location

We were looking for a quiet property with access to beaches and restaurants. Larry's was a great location with many beaches within a short drive. We went to Grand Isles Beach, COCO plum, Exuma Point and Tropic of Cancer beach. All were amazing. Can't wait to go back again

Great for those on a budget

If you’re looking for a for a small place to stay on a budget that’s clean, in a fairly central location, and don’t plan on spending much time in the cottage, this is a good choice. It’s basically a place to sleep - very minimal amenities, Wi-Fi was slow (Netflix wouldn’t load), no water view, very firm bed, etc. And you definitely need a car. The closest grocery store is 20 minutes away in Georgetown and there are several small beach access areas along the way. Restaurants open early for breakfast, close at 10:30am, and then reopen at noon until about 8pm. Larry is a great host - responsive and flexible with check in and check out time. He scheduled a taxi to transport us to and from the airport and also allowed us to rent his personal work car when the island rental agencies were sold out.

The property and host are as good as it gets. Larry is now a good friend of mine. He will do anything possible to make your stay perfect. His house is Super Clean and cozy. I'll definitely book again.

True paradise

Larry and Barry were superb hosts. Fun , gracious and friendly. They gave us the best recommendations for cool places to visit. Wonderful vacation all around. Can’t wait to return someday. I definitely recommend this property. Great value for the money, plus he had a car we rented for our stay.

Perfect place for 2

Smelled so clean when we walked in. Quiet road & quick responses from the host. We spend a lot of time out & about, so we had everything we needed since we didn't have a lot of friends come over this time. Sometimes we have a cooking party & there wasn't a lot of room for that. It could use a few more dishes & another bath towel or 2 just so there were spares when the others were washing, but it really had all we needed.

True Bahamian Hospitality

Tranquil Sunrise Cottage was the perfect place to stay and enjoy the beauty of Exuma. Everything is exactly as pictured so that gives a good idea of what to expect. Exuma is bigger than I expected but Barry gave my boyfriend and I an island tour of Great and Little Exuma one day. We saw the most gorgeous beaches. They are everywhere in Exuma. Tropic of Cancer beach on Little Exuma is one of the best if you can find it. We rode the bicycles provided to the nearby Flamingo Beach two of the days we were there. The bicycles are in need of some repair though. Beware of the sand flies/ no-see-ums at the beach at dawn and dusk. It is a very miserable experience. Be sure to use insect repellent or rub on some baby oil. One afternoon we lounged in the hammock on the veranda which was very nice. The cottage is well appointed with A/C, TV (limited channels but not important), free wifi, full sized fridge, stove and oven, microwave, bed and bath linens etc. The bed is not quite king sized but it was comfortable with more than enough pillows. The property was clean and the front well maintained. There are few building around and mostly bushy areas. Still we felt very safe here. I cannot say enough about the warmth and attentiveness of the owners. From the very first inquiry I was in constant contact with Larry and even though I still have yet to meet him in person, I feel like I have known him for years. He was always checking up on us to make sure things were going well. We were booked to go on a half day boat tour which then fell through the night before. Barry made calls all night just to secure another tour for us and then drove us to the dock to catch the new tour. We really appreciated that. Unfortunately the weather that day was stormy so we didn't get to do the full tour. We will be returning to swim with the pigs and will definitely be staying at Tranquil Sunrise again. Barry and Larry see you soon....your place or mine!

Tranquil Cottage a hidden gem

Our stay at tranquil was a wonderful experience, Larry and Barry Davis are the two most down to earth brothers you will get to meet.during are stay the two would constantly check to see if all was well with us and Larry is base in Nassau so he would message me by phone,Barry would come by to make sure all was ok the cottage is very clean and comfortable and have all the amenities one would need to feel right at home. Tranquil is truly a hidden gem and I can't wait to return!!

Awesome vacation in Exuma and at Tranquil Sunrise

Our stay at Tranquil Sunrise and in Exuma was an absolutely wonderful vacation for us. To describe the island of Exuma in one word would be "WOW!" The unspoiled beauty of the beaches and island is breathtaking. Our stay at Tranquil also exceeded our expectations. Barry Davis was very friendly and his hospitality was very much appreciated. He gave us a tour of the island and was even so kind to make us breakfast the first morning as we had not gone grocery shopping yet. Barry also took us to a local restaurant one evening to see live music and it was a great time. He was very attentive to any need that we had and also assisted us with arranging a half day boat trip with 4C. Barry made himself available anytime and would check in with us to make sure we were doing fine. He is a true gentleman and we are fortunate to have met him and consider him a friend. The cottage was very nice, clean and had all the basic essentials you need. If you do need anything, Barry is certain to take care of it for you! Although we did not meet Larry Davis, he did take care of answering all our our questions before our trip and always responded to any emails we would send him. We would like to meet him someday as well. We plan on returning to Exuma and Tranquil Sunrise in the future as it is our new favorite vacation spot!

Relax in comfort

I have been to Exuma twice now, and both times I stayed at Tranquil. The house is very clean, comfortable. The house is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Close to the beach. The air conditioning works great (a must!!!) the house comes with all the amenities one needs (4 burner range & gas oven, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, stovetop kettle, iron & ironing board, etc...) the car for rent works great and believe me! To do Exuma right, you need a car!!! Barry is the best! He's incredibly friendly, helped me secure many tours, personally showed me around the island and we visited so many attractions. Barry knows all there is to know and can help with any need one may have. I highly recommend staying at Tranquil.

Freaking Amazing

Tranquil Sunrise Cottage was Amazing, Awesome, Relaxing, Peacefull, wonderful and Restfull. We had a great time in Exuma and at the cottage...I would encourge my local Bahamians and International guess to stay there. its like a home away from home experience. and the owners were even more amazing. Very nice and quiet place to stay.

From the start the place was beyond our expectations. The owners of this vacation home took us on a tour of the beautiful Exuma Island. Spouse and I had a great time, and when we go back my spouse and I will use the same vacation house again.

An amazing stay at a beautiful cottage

This cottage is beautiful and peaceful the pictures provide are very accurate. The hospitality shown by Mr Davis and his brother was beyond what we expected they ensured that we had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We had a wonderful stay and will surely be visiting again.

We had the best vacation ever!

If you want to relax this is the best place to be, we could walk our dog on this street where there is no traffic at all and we enjoyed great sunrises... It is located minutes from 2 of the best beaches, Emerald Bay Beach and Rocker's point beach. I strongly suggest to rent a car and the owner offered us the best rates, you have to drive on the left (English way) but the streets are few with little traffic. Easy to adjust to it and find your destination. The owner made sure we were well taken care of and his brother extended himself to show us the best places and little restaurants and sunsets spots.... he provided us with fresh coconuts to take to the beach for a drink and informations for things to do and where to buy stuff.... The number one suggestion was to use baby oil at dusk to repel bites from insects and it worked... he even found it for us! The place is clean and well kept, the photos are recent and show well the property. The place is safe day and night and really tranquil. We often had breackfast on the deck where we had a nice breaze almost every day. It is what we were looking for, we had the best vacation ever and we will try to go back next year for sure. Thank you Larry and Barry, you really live in paradise and you appreciate it! Barry you are natural to make people feel welcome and taken care of.

Perfect name, we saw the best sunrises

The apartment is clean and well kept, the photos are recent and accurate. The location worked great for us, we were close to the best beaches (Emerald Beach and Roker's point Beach) only few minutes away by car but on a tranquil street where we could walk the dog in the morning enjoying the sunrise. The owner made sure we had everything we needed and his brother extended himself to make our vacation memorable, he was so nice showing us the best places to go, offering coconuts to take to the beach to drink and providing effective remedies for our ailments. I strongly suggest to rent a car, they offered us the beat rates, to be able to explore the island and find a superb beach after another, small restaurants and see sunsets on the flats side. We had to drive on the left side ( English way) but there is no traffic and the streets are well kept and not too many, easy to find your destination. People on this island are happy and friendly, they know they live in paradise and they appreciate it. We have been to the Bahamas before but this was our best vacation ever and we really plan to return next year.

Simply Amazing!

Tranquil Sunrise was a wonderful place to stay. It was indeed very relaxing, warm and inviting. I loved the entire feel of the place I wish I can go back for another island get away pretty soon! Mr. Davis was indeed very helpful with everything. I would rate this place 5out of 5!

Island Paradise

Tranquil Sunrise was the most perfect pace I would have to say. It was warm and inviting, ideal for an island getaway. I was able to rent this cottage along with a rental car for a very affordable price not to mention that it came equipped with bicycles in-case you just wanted to cycle around and explore the island,that was a total plus!In the evening time I just laid off in the hammocks on the deck and enjoyed the island breeze. I was so excited about my stay that I told my friends about it and we are going for regatta, I can't wait!

Beautiful, very clean and relaxing

We are very extensive travelers, this year because of time restraints and we wanted to get away from this awful cold winter i had heard about the Swimming Pigs in the Bahamas. We booked this accommodation of Tranquil Sunrise. It was wonderful very clean close to everything especially the beaches, it had hammocks, bicycles, car it was great. Larry the owner could not do enough for us he would check in and make sure we were alright bringing over coconuts and serving us fresh coconut milk from his mothers trees. He arranged the most wonderful trip for the day of swimming with pigs, sharks, swimming in the Grotto where Thunder Ball was filmed. We cannot say enough about the property or Larry it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. I Strongly recommend it to anyone and we will be back! Thank you Larry. Kerry, Maureen and Kids
