Welcome to Butterfly Hideaway! Located beneath the live oaks of historic downtown Wilmington, above a bed of butterfly bushes and jasmine, this brand new 1 bedroom 1 bath carriage house apartment is 4 blocks from the Cape Fear riverwalk and 2 blocks to the Castle Street Arts District, located on a quiet block, and convenient to all local attractions. This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, tea, and and hot chocolate, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). And bonus - the apartment is dog friendly for bringing along your fur baby (dog towels and some treats provided!) Whether you are visiting for concerts at Live Oak Pavilion, one of many local arts or craft festivals, a show at the Wilson Center or Historic Thalian Hall, a wedding, family reunion, or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you! Wilmington NC is a great place and this carriage apt is so perfect, comfortable and all the comforts of home, top class, all new! This is the perfect place to stay, pets included! Enjoy as we did! I can not say enough good things about our stay. The neighborhood was charming and very walkable. Wayne and Bobby are amazing hosts, the property was immaculate. What was over the top as far as VRBOs was how homey and welcoming it was. We have a good amount of experience with these rentals and they are not all created equal! If you find yourself thinking about a stay in Wilmington, do yourself a favor and choose here. Also shout out to Bobby’s recommendation for Savor as a breakfast spot. You won’t regret this choice either.

The property was excellent. Everything was A plus. The carriage house was fully stocked and then some. The owners thought of everything you could possibly need. It was very neat and clean and check in was a breeze. We parked our car and walked to just about everything. It was a lovely, safe neighborhood. We had a fantastic time in Wilmington.

Bobby and Wayne could not have set up clearly with much thought and consideration a more welcoming property and process. We loved our stay at the Butterly Hideout and everything was so easy and delightful. I helped my daughter look for places to live and we found a place for her nearby so I will be back when I (and or my husband and dog at times) will be back for sure to visit her. Best, Mary

We were attracted by the small town charm of Wilmington's historic district that reminds us of our Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington without the congestion and traffic! History around every corner coupled with great restaurants, museums, historic homes, the Riverwalk, theaters, and concerns at Live Oak Pavilion - all within walking distance!

Tastefully decorated with premium bedding and all the conveniences of home. We've tried to include everything to make your stay more enjoyable. Plus, dog-friendly! As dog-parents, we understand the challenges of finding pet-friendly travel accommodations, especially for large dogs.
