Escape your everyday worries at Forest Lane Acres, a charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath unique vacation rental, located within the secluded Lost Pines of Bastrop, TX. This pet-friendly space features two quaint shipping container homes, and a spacious covered patio with private forest views.
Forest Lane Acres presents an idyllic retreat for couples or small families looking for relaxation, social interaction and connecting with the outdoors. It boasts serene views of the pine forest from the covered patio deck, offering an exclusive oasis of privacy - you may detect the distant hum of neighbors, but they remain unseen. The outdoor area is equipped with WIFI, allowing you to work or play on your laptop amidst nature. Pet-lovers will appreciate the pet-friendly patio, fitted with retractable screens on all openings to ensure your furry companions remain safely within sight. Inside, the property is cleverly constructed from two shipping containers, providing a compact yet cozy living space of 540 square feet. Although the space is small, many amenities await, including a kitchenette, two full baths with showers, HD Smart TV in living and both bedrooms, and a full washer/dryer. This tiny house comfortably sleeps two on a queen bed and two on a full bed in the separate container. Additionally, we do have a “queen” sofa bed in the living room that’s great for one adult or a couple of kids.
The 1200 square-foot outdoor covered patio is the highlight of the property. It is perfect for larger gatherings with friends and family and outdoor dining. There is a propane grill and wood smoker for cooking. There are several eating and food prep areas, as well as comfortable outdoor furniture. There are both propane and wood burning fire pits. The inclusion of ceiling and floor fans for the summer months, and fire pit tables to cozy up during the colder months, this outdoor haven is designed for year-round enjoyment - only extreme weather conditions could dampen the outdoor experience. After a day’s activities, there is an outdoor movie projector (Nebula Mars 3 Pro) and an inflatable 120-inch movie screen available. The projector is connected to the house WIFI to stream apps (Prime, Netflix) and Google TV. We provide USB connections for Apple and Android phones. (USB to lightening plug and USB to C plug) to allow for easy streaming from a phone, tablet or laptop.
This location, just off State Highway 71 (SH 71), offers quick and easy access to all that wonderful Bastrop has to offer.

LONGER STAY DISCOUNTS: We do have discounts for longer stays. Stays of 7-14 days are discounted by 15%. Send an inquiry for a customized quote of your stay. Minimum Rental Period is 2 nights, Maximal rental period is 14 nights.
PRIOR TO BOOKING: You will need to provide an ID and photograph by image at the time of booking. The name of the booking person must match the ID and profile photograph. You be sent a Rental Agreement to sign to complete the reservation. Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules listed below. Booking the property confirms that you agree to these conditions. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
GENERAL HOUSE RULES
1. Must be 21 years old to rent and person booking must be present at the property during the entirety of the stay. The guest booking the property and the payment card must be the same.
2. Check-in and Check-out Times: Check in is 3 pm, Check out is 11am. Early check-in or late check-out requests must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Unauthorized late check-outs may incur additional fees.
3. Overnight occupancy is limited to 5 adults. Property can sleep up to 6 people only if there are children listed on the reservation. The maximum overnight occupancy is six guests. Visitors are allowed until 10:00 PM. Please inform us in advance if you plan to have additional guests or visitors who are not listed on the reservation.
4. If a breakage should occur during your stay, don’t be shy! Please advise us at your earliest convenience so we can rectify it ASAP.
5. Be mindful of maintaining positive relations with our neighbors. Quiet Hours after 10 pm.
6. We do NOT permit the following at any time:
• No Smoking/Vaping inside the property. There is a $500 fine for smoking or the presence of smoke odor inside the containers.
• No Fireworks Permitted
• No Parties
• No ATV/UTV riding on property - trailer to approved trails
7. Pets welcomed with no fee if disclosed prior to check-in. You are 100% liable for any damage caused by a pet or a service animal.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
1. SECURITY CAMERAS: Security on our properties is provided via outdoor security cameras. There are security cameras on the building perimeter that are motion activated and do record. There are no inside cameras.
2. LOCK AND KEY: Access to both containers is through patio doors. There is a lock-box located next to each patio door that contains a key to the unit. Lock box code will be provided to you the morning of your check-in date. You are required to lock property when you are not present.
3. Storage Units at the rear of the property are off limits to guests.
✔️ You will be required to sign an off platform RENTAL AGREEMENT and required to upload your driver’s license to complete a reservation. Failure to sign the Rental Agreement will result in a cancellation of your stay.
✔️ Furniture and decor are subject to change without notice.
✔️Refunds will not be issued based on power or internet outages, weather conditions or insects on the patio area that beyond the control of the host.
✔️ We encourage our guests to purchase trip insurance if you are concerned about your travel plans. We are firm on our policies, including cancellations and changes.
