Nice spot

Place was very nice , the spot was close to everything! I really loved it . Only problem was it was a few bugs crawling around but other than that it was 10/10 !

Roaches and Insects

The house is really nice but the roaches and insects in the house made it a terrible stay due to the fact that we had to kill the roaches ourselves. Multiple places has them.

Great stay!

If you are looking for a place to stay that’s close to everything this is definitely the place for you! I arrived to Houston a little earlier than expected and the host was very helpful and let me check in early! The home was very spacious and accommodated my group of eight! Will definitely be booking when I visit again!

Clean, small but intimate unit. The owner was nice and informative! The AC worked really good and was my boyfriend’s favorite thing about the house haha. Thanks for the good stay:)

Good stay

This was a great stay for a conference. The layout of the house is great and accommodating for groups. Home owner communicates quickly and is very understanding. I unfortunately saw a roach speed out on the dish washing machine when opened.

Roach Motel

Let me start by saying the owner let us check in early with the stipulation of giving him a 5 star review. I was onboard but after checking in…..my my my!!! As soon as we got comfortable we started seeing roaches. Big roaches, little roaches and dead roaches. I immediately contacted the owner and he said he would get pest control out but then said he couldn’t get in contact with pest control and would compensate 50 after check out. 50 is a slap in the face, as pest control cost more than that. We were so uncomfortable the entire stay with no real accommodation! Let’s not even get on the JUNK in the back yard. Stuff everywhere. Terrible experience!!!

Horrible

This place was horrible!!!! Owners should upload full pictures of house, it is a duplex styled house and when we arrived there were dogs outside barking after they stated no animals! There was a bungee card on entrance gate! I had to wait 2.5 hours to get dogs put up in gate to enter the house to find cockroaches in living room space and rooms! The house was not filthy but wasn’t that clean for the cleaning fee that each guest is paying definitely isn’t worth it! The owners didn’t offer a discount or anything!

Thank you for your feedback, but we need to clarify some points. Our property is accurately represented in the listing, including its duplex style, and we strictly enforce a no-pet policy. There are no dogs on the premises, (except for a one time neighbor’s lovely, harmless and friendly dog) and the entrance gate was secure during your stay. We had this conversation over the phone and I you assured me that you were all good. The claim of cockroaches is surprising, as we conduct routine pest control and thorough cleanings before every guest's arrival. We were not contacted regarding any issues during your stay, which would have given us the opportunity to resolve any concerns promptly. Unfortunately, it seems these claims arose only after a request for compensation was denied. We remain committed to providing a quality experience for all guests and encourage future visitors to communicate any issues immediately so we can address them. Tyesha, if you check the next review after you, you will see that the guest had a wonderful experience and contrary to your review

Got cancelled right before check in.

On the day of my groups scheduled check in I had not received any information from the host in regards to our stay/check-in. I reached out to request the information from the host (an hour after the check in time as we were still traveling to the location). I was told the home was having electrical issues that were not resolved in time for my reservation and my booking was immediately cancelled. My group was then left scrambling to find new lodging accommodations, after having booked this vrbo months in advance. I would have much rather appreciated an advance notice that there were issues with the rental so that I could look for a new booking prior to my travel. I feel it was very unprofessional how the situation was handled. I do hope they resolve their issues soon or remove their listing so other parties do not have the same experience.

Great Stay Until Last Night

Our entire stay was great until the last night when my friends and I returned from dinner. We were watching the NBA Western Conference Finals when suddenly my one friend jumped from his seat as he had seen a huge cockroach climbing the walls. As we retreated from the living room area we also saw two more cockroaches roaming the walls and eventually found a dead one on the floor in the bathroom. I contacted the owner and he shrugged it off as if it wasn’t a big deal. Location was a bit deceiving as well. Although it wasn’t a bad rental, I wouldn’t recommend renting this in the future. Save yourself the hassle and troubles.

Thank you for your response! After a 3 days stay, you used my home to your convenience and tried to extort me for some refund so that you can give me a review? Wow! You contacted me after 12am on the day you were checking out and specifically asked for money! We asked you for pictures of your complaints and till today, you never responded or sent any. Only to come here and still defame our property. I will report this review on Vrbo as it factually inaccurate and a result of failed extortion

Worse Property & Property Manager

This was the worst experience I have ever had with VRBO. The property was unlivable— it smelled like urine, and the carpet was stained. From the outside to the inside, nothing matched the description provided at booking. SECURITY is not the word to describe this location. The chain-link fence, which had fallen during a storm a month prior, was still on the ground. The gate code they provided was unnecessary, as it was simply a padlock on a bicycle chain. I initially thought security would be decent until I opened the front door with the keypad, and the door handle fell off completely. The property manager was aware of this issue but did nothing to address it. Dealing with the property manager was an absolute nightmare. He was unprofessional and difficult to communicate with. After not even staying at the home and needing VRBO's help to find alternate housing for eight people in three hours for the entire weekend, the property manager refused to offer even a partial refund. It was clear that MONEY was the only thing on his mind. He yelled at me, accused me of changing my story, and barely listened to what I was trying to say amidst the overwhelming stench of the property. Absolutely a Disappointment!
