Cute apartment close to Transportation

Older home with updated basement apartment. Only about 2 blocks from bus or Metro to sites and monuments. Good choice of restaurants within walking distance. Easy communication with owner.

Our 2nd Stay at this location, just as good!

As this is our second stay at this property says it all! Great location, good communication with property mgr. Nice neighborhood and close to everything. Great kitchen, bedroom and clean! Looking forward to our next visit later this year!

Great Location

This was a great location, close to the metro and lots of restaurants. Host was responsive. The bathroom could have been cleaned better as there was hair on the floor and walls that wasn't ours. The beds could definitely use new pillows and some extra blankets (I asked host for an extra blanket and got it quickly). Overall, it was fine for our family of 3.

Perfect location, great home away from home

This basement apartment was perfect for a week exploring DC. The home had all amenities including a washer and dryer and we were able to cook some meals.

It’s all about the location!

Surprised this neighborhood is so walkable and close to all the popular sites! Very spacious and comfortable unit. Host is an excellent communicator.

Great apartment and location

Fantastic location, close to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops. Walkable to DC landmarks. Dara is very responsive. I had to have something shipped to the apartment and she let me know when it was delivered, very nice of her to let me know. Would stay here again.

Great Neighborhood Spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dana's property. It is well equipped and in a wonderful spot. She was great to work with and accommodating to our needs. Super easy access. Walking distance to most downtown activities and easy Metro (1 1/2 blocks) and bus service (1 block) to everywhere you want to go.

Great Escape for Two

Good neighborhood. On street parking couldn’t be more convenient. Located in a great location with an easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Good living space with modern amenities.

DC getaway

First time in DC did not disappoint. This unit is near Logan Circle and convenient to shops, bars and restaurants. The nearby U Street Metro stop made getting to all the sights a breeze.

Wonderful find!

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights and were completely comfortable in this charming spot. I used the sofa bed and found it firm but comfortable. Location is fantastic with excellent restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and all the sights of the Mall a good longer walk away. Host Dara was responsive and kind. Perfect!!!

English Basement Apartment

We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment is comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The neighborhood is exactly as advertised; trendy with a beautiful, old-world charm, convenient to public transporation and restaurants, quiet, and safe. The owner is accessible and responsive. We would definitely be pleased to be welcomed again, as guest in the future.

Great Location!!

Awesome place! Street parking. Literally five minutes to a metro station and about a 10 min ride to all the "touristy" spots in D.C. We stayed for almost a week. Everything we needed was provided. The listing was completely accurate. I felt safe walking this neighborhood with 2 young kids. Highly recommend!

Felt Like Home

The apartment was even nicer than what we expected based on the photos. We like the modern style and enjoyed the many thoughtful touches. The neighborhood is lovely and close to restaurants the metro with easy access to the mall. Don’t plan on sleeping late—the folks upstairs are up early. Wasn’t a problem for us, but something to be aware of to set your expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

Great basement apartment in the middle of a cute neighborhood

This is a great little property in the middle of everything. Easy access to all major public transportation but we ended up either walking or driving everywhere. Needed a parking pass but the owner was quick to get it to us and we actually had no problem at all finding parking when we needed it. Half of the time there were spaces right in front of the door. Lots of good restaurants/shops nearby Definitely worth staying here.

Fantastic location and great property!

My husband and I came for a busy Memorial Werkend in DC. The place was easy to find, instructions and suggestions were spot on. Great neighborhood with lots of families. Some of the best restaurants in DC are on the adjacent street (14th St). We rode the metro everywhere, so the convenience of the metro station being two blocks away was perfect. Hosts were great, and the house had everything we needed - including umbrellas that we forgot about on our way to a rainy Memorial Day Parade. Overall fantastic experience. Will definitely try to book again when we return the next time!

Great Location

The property is as advertised. Close to metro which gets you to anywhere in DC area. We needed a car for our trip to VA, but not recommended or necessary for touring DC. My son has mobility challenges and was able to walk the large block to metro easily. Stairs into unit air steep and small, but doable. Bed and pullout couch were comfortable. Sleep masks were helpful for sleeping in living room—city lights. Property had everything we needed. Area felt safe and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We would stay here again. Host was also very helpful and responsive. Perfect for our trip.

I am the CEO for a microfinance non-profit. I speak French and our 13 year old daughter attends the Lycee Rochambeau French School. My husband is a lobbyist in the Health Care industry. We love traveling internally and enjoy hosting international visitors, especially French speaking and helping them to explore beautiful Washington, DC. We live in the main house above the rental unit.
