デュポンサークル、ローガンサークル、Uストリートコリドーから徒歩圏内の歴史的な1890年代のタウンハウスにあるこの魅力的な1br / 1ba（2〜4名以上）の英語の地下アパートをお楽しみください。 この趣味の良い内装のアパートメントには、クイーンサイズのベッド、クイーンサイズの寝台ソファ、さまざまなサイズのインフレータブルベッドを備えたベッドルームが1つあります。 出張やDCの多くの素晴らしいサイトへの訪問に最適な場所です。

アパートは、数十のレストラン、ショップ、クラブから目と鼻の先にあり、2本の地下鉄線から徒歩圏内です。 ユニット用の路外駐車場はありませんが、訪問者が近隣の豊富な路上駐車を利用できるように、一時的な住宅用駐車場を手配できます。 また、DCの優れた新しいサービスであるCapital Bikeshareを利用して、短期間の自転車レンタルも近くにあります。

Cozy & Convenient!

Loved staying at this property! An under 10 minute walk to the Green Line station and many restaurants. Parking was easy to find and the owner was very helpful in getting the permit and the check-in / check-out process. 10/10 would definitely recommend staying here.

Super cute apartment in great neighborhood

Perfect for our family of 4!

Frank’s basement house was perfect for our family of 4. The kids slept on the pullout couch and we were also able to cook meals at night. The location was perfect to take a quick uber to all the sites in DC. Frank was also great at communicating. Would definitely recommend!

Family Visit

I found this listing which worked out as a great location within a couple of blocks of our family. It was an easy walk and we felt safe walking after dark. Communication with Frank was great. We did not have a rental car so parking was not an issue. We slept very well using both the bed and sofa bed. The updated bathroom was very nice. We also enjoyed looking through some of the books about the history of DC and used the TV in the living area. We only used the kitchen for quick breakfast and evening snacks, but it looked like it was equipped to make a meal if you chose to. My Great Niece enjoyed seeing the blown up lighted turkey on the roof and all the pumpkins on the steps. We look forward to our next family visit and staying at Frank's English Basement!

Genuinely perfect!

Our stay with Frank was perfect! Frank was extremely communicative and helpful. Our stay was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was really walkable and easy to get to public transportation. The kitchen was pretty well outfitted and you’re just a short walk to Trader Joe’s and some wonderful restaurants! We had a perfect stay and I will definitely be staying with Frank again if we make our way back to DC.

'24 vacation with my minis

This was everything my kids and I needed. Frank has thought of everything. Next time I'm in DC, this will be top on my list. Couldn't have asked for better, communication was top notch.

Good location, Good Price!

Frank's basement apartment was a good choice for my son and I. Good location in residential area, very close to good restaurants, bars, cafes. Apartment was clean and comfortable. It was a good launching pad to explore DC for the first time. Frank was responsive and to any inquiries.

Perfect Apartment in DC

The apartment was a perfect size for a family of four to spend a week in DC. Close to restaurants and grocery shopping with a quick Uber to the all sights. If you prefer to walk, it’s about a 20 minute walk to the White House. The bed was comfortable and the kids had no issues with the pull out couch and air mattress. Lots of extra pillows and blankets to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen was also great, allowing us to cook breakfast and dinner with no problem. Frank was very friendly and helpful during our visit. I would not hesitate to stay again. A charming home away from home.

Great Location with Responsive Host

Property is located within one block of area with plenty of activity and restaurants and is about 15 minute walk from Dupont Circle Metro stop. Our host, Frank, is extremely quick to respond to any questions and is very accommodating. Frank left detailed instructions and information about his basement apartment. Bathroom is new and very clean. Definitely recommend this place for a short stay where location for an affordable place is your priority.

Great location Great host!

Frank and Ty could not have been more accommodating! The apartment is in a great area with shops snd restaurants nearby. It was a quick Uber ride to all of the sights. We will definitely stay here again if we return to DC.

Great family apartment!

This was a great fit for our family. We parked out front and took Lyft everywhere - it was about the same cost as metro would have been for all of us. Great restaurants nearby and easier to access than the busy ones around national Mall. Having a kitchen saved money on food. I would definitely stay here again. Wonderful host!

Frank was very helpful! He has everything you can think of. I brought an air mattress and sheets - he already had one! The bed was comfortable! Everything was labeled! It was so nice to be able to come back to something quiet and quaint at nice and not just a hotel.

Great little place - convenient to get around

I took my 3 teens/tweens to see the historic sights of DC and this apartment was a great home base. Easy walk to Metro and bus-stops. no concerns with the neighborhood - we parked the car right in front of the house and left it there with no concerns/problems. Easy to find food choices in the neighborhood as well

What a gem in DC!

We loved staying at Frank's beautiful property in a convenient neighborhood. He was a deligtful host, very accommodating and helpful. He communicated with us every step of the way, and we were so appreciative to find this gem in my favorite American city. The space is clean and comfortable, and we loved the bed pillows so much we came home and bought some for our house. I've been to DC many times, and this was my favorite visit, in no small part due to our stay at this location.

Great apartment t in a nice neighborhood

The apartment was in a great location, easy to get to the metro, shops and restaurants, but on a quiet street. Frank was a great host, and the apartment was set up nicely. I’ll definitely check to see if it’s available next time I visit DC.

Lovely stay

Frank was so hospitable and kind. The location of this property is fantastic- near the National mall and within walking distance of great restaurants, grocery stores, and bus/metro stations. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils. Frank also provided a shopping cart, reusable grocery bags, and umbrellas. There is some road noise which is to be expected.

I'm a classical musician who's lived in Washington DC for 25 years. It's a great city in so many ways, I'm glad I can share my basement apartment with visitors from around the world. I live in the main house above the apartment, so I'm easily available to assist guests with their visits in the national's capital.

I love my neighborhood with its historical townhouses and apartment buildings, restaurants, shops and nearby public transportation. Though in the heart of Washington, the apartment is in a residential neighborhood populated with a wide variety of residents, including young Congressional and White House staffers, young families, couples and singles from all over the world. (Few people in DC are actually from DC!) One of the coolest things about where I live is the giant Masonic House of the Temple, located right across the street from the apartment. The building was designed by John Russell Pope, architect of the Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives, and it's one of the most impressive buildings in Washington. It serves as the Southern Headquarters for the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite Masonry, and a tour of the building is fascinating and entertaining. If you're a Dan Brown fan, the building plays a pivotal part in his novel, 'The Lost Symbol.'
