Great place to stay for the weekend with a group of 5 girlfriends. Very close for all activities. We hiked the endless wall trail and did white water rafting. Clean home with plenty of space for cooking. Had a great stay! Owner was quick to respond to any questions.

Nice place

My wife and I along with my two adult daughters spend four days at Penelope's Place last week. We were very pleased with how clean and comfortable the house was.  It is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood.   The neighbors we encountered were friendly.   A short walk from the house is Mandabees, a very good local restaurant.  A short drive gets you desert at the frozen barn.

We really enjoyed our stay at Penelope’s Place. The place was easy to find and perfect for our needs. It was definitely worth the price and situated in a good place for where we planned our activities. It was nice and clean upon arrival with plenty of towels available for the five of us staying there.

Spring break getaway

This was an excellent property, exactly as described. Our host Kiley was very responsive, and left some hospitality information about local trails and eateries that were spot on. Would highly recommend for couple or small family.

New River Gorge Bridge National Park Trip

Very convenient to park and activities. I enjoyed biking the greenway in Oak Hill and walking to Cafe One Ten for dinner. Quiet, safe area away from tourists but close enough to get to all the hikes and rafting.

For want of a hot tub

The property is great. Its locatoon is solid for exploring the park or white water rafting. The listing shpuld be editted. It said there was a hot tub, but there isnt.

Central location

We came to visit New River Gorge National Park. The location of this house made it easy to access the various parts of the park. It was a short drive to most of our activities and nice to have a grocery store nearby. I will note that while the listing noted 4 beds, there were only 3 so someone ended up on the couch. There was also no tub or hot tub as listed.

Adorable home in the middle of everything

We had such an amazing time at Penelope's place! We went to Winterplace and had some winter fun, saw lots of places in the New River Gorge National Park...the Bridge, Thurmond, Grandview, Cathedral Falls. Considering the spread out nature of the gorge, this was the perfect middle spot. The home is adorable. Check in was super easy, host was very easy to communicate with. We booked pretty past minute and I was having trouble getting the app to work to send messages. She went out of her way to make sure I had all the info I needed. The place has plenty of blankets, sheets, towels, toiletries, cooking utensils, pans, etc. I love this area and would absolutely stay at Penelope's Place again.
