This is our third time staying here. We stayed here in 2019 and 2020. The house has undergone some furnishing upgrades since then which is nice. This week long vacation included myself, my husband, and our 17 year old son, and our friends (a couple who are our age). We bring our boat (24’ CC) and launch at The Quay next to Island Fish Company. You now have to pay $25 to launch and/or retrieve your boat. Pay the fee. They have cameras and you will be fined $200 if you do not. The boat ramp gets busy as does the drive down because all rentals start on Saturday, but we have grown accustomed to it. Quick drive via boat to the house thru Vaca Cut and the dock is awesome to keep your boat at for the week. I wish we lived here. I would buy this house in a heartbeat I love it so much. We sit outside more than we sit inside. Rain or shine the tiki hut is our happy place. There is a fan, lights, and a TV. Best part is the view. We don’t use the TV because it is so beautiful here. We watch the boats go by, talk, eat, drink, watch the fish in the canal, etc.. We go snorkeling at Coffin Patch almost daily. We ventured to Looe Key twice this trip and it was worth it! Coffin Patch is a hidden gem- sea turtles, sting rays, eels, and so many fish! The canal at the house has a look down fish that is there religiously every night by the light, a manatee that came by several times during the week, and a HUGE nurse shark that swam by one night. Stay here, you won’t regret it! We will be back!
