Live in the Sunshine, is a beautifully updated 3-bedroom Solana Beach vacation rental located in the gated Del Mar Beach Club community. With nearly 1,600 sq. ft. of space, modern coastal finishes, and resort-style amenities, this townhome is perfect for families, groups, and extended stays. Enjoy a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an open-concept living area with Apple TV, and a private enclosed patio for outdoor dining. Just a short walk to the beach, oceanfront pools, and the best of Solana Beach, this home offers comfort, convenience, and classic Southern California coastal living.
NOTE: One of the buildings in this complex is undergoing interior construction. Noise, if any, should be minimal.

We really enjoyed staying at this condo that nicely updated and very comfortable for my adult family. The location of this complex was great to walk to the beach and local shopping!

Getaway at Solano Beach

Second time in this complex and enjoyed it thoroughly. Love the closeness to the beach and access to tennis courts. Quiet. No traffic. Fully stocked kitchen and amenities. Love the Solano Beach area.

They have a well stocked kitchen and lots of towels and bedding and beach chairs. The beds and couch are all comfortable. We are hoping to come back and stay here soon!

Great location

The property is in a great location and is well stocked. I was initially hesitant to book because of previous reviews about the cleanliness of the floors and unfortunately we had the exact same experience. Within minutes of taking shoes and socks off, our kids’ feet were covered in dirt and filth. The floors need an extremely deep clean as that is honestly our only complaint. I would have given it 4 stars for the floors if there weren’t other reviews saying the same thing, so that’s why I went with 3 stars.

Hello Amanda, We did some research on why these newer floors appeared dirty and found that some soaps from recently mopped floors can adhere to feet and creates a film that makes them look black. We are working with our housekeeping teams to remedy this situation.

Missed having a BBQ and patio table out back, hoping to see those next year to really complete the vacation vibe and help with easy vacation BBQ meals. The washer went out prior to our stay, and Dave Stubbs provided excellent customer service for the inconvenience. The new washer was fantastic. Have visited Solana Beach for over 45 years now, and leave each year counting down the days to our return. The Del Mar Beach Club and Dave Stubbs as well as wonderful places like this unit are a huge part of that excitement.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Close walk to pools or ocean. Quiet clean complex. My only complaints are that the floors could’ve been cleaner, throw rugs washed or switched between new guests and shower curtains washed or replaced. The grill needs new grates. We couldn’t use the grill because the grates looked very rusty. Overall, a decent property but needs a little extra cleaning in some areas. Beach was beautiful. A lot of stairs but worth it. Location was great. We enjoyed hiking at Torrey Pines (10 min drive), kayaking at La Jolla, Padres game, downtown San Diego, and visiting Del Mar, Cardiff by the Sea, Encinitas and Carlsbad. My daughter went to Disneyland with her family which was a little over an hour drive with no traffic. I would rent through Stubbs again. Everyone I dealt with was kind and professional. We would definitely come back to this area!

Filthy

We noticed immediately upon entering the house that it was filthy. After an hour our socks were black on the bottoms. There were ants crawling all over inside the house (including in the beds). The walls were black and sticky in areas. The property managers response was to send someone by to mop the floor and give us ant poison. Almost all of the dishes in the cabinets looked like they had been eaten off of and put back in the cabinet. The outside deck was falling apart and had random old broken junk laying all around. We spent a lot of money on this rental and were so disgusted for our whole stay. When we checked out and told the property manager our experience they said “call us next time and we will steer you away from the filthy ones” — so they clearly knew that this place was disgusting, but rented it out anyway. We would never rent this place or from that property manager again.

We offer properties to fit all budgets and we apologize for your dissatisfaction. We sent our team over to mop the floor, and they noted that there are many scuffs making it appear dirty. Our team also noted only seeing a couple of ants, but the spray we offered was refused. Again, we apologize for your stay.

Lovely property by the beach

Lovely location, right on the beach! We had a relaxing and lovely stay. We had a little problem with the refrigerator but the owner fixed it extremely quickly and I would come back again next time we want to enjoy the ocean!

Great place!

Very nice place. The renovations looked great and the place was clean and comfortable. The heater didn’t work, but the property manager was responsive with space heaters until the repair could be made. Thanks for letting us enjoy Solana Beach from your home!
