Helene, Thank you for renting our studio apartment in Redground, Negril. Based on what was communicated to me by the property manager, it seems you had decided to leave prematurely before hearing how everything works. The information listed will clarify how things work at those small properties that are community based. 1. Water is not turned on until the guest arrives. This is to prevent flooding when previous guest leaves pipes on, also to prevent the pump from continuously running if there’s a leak somewhere in the line. You left the property before the manager got a chance to turn on the water. 2. The internet was down when you arrive. I sincerely apologize for this. You would have got a backup portable wifi to use temporarily. Again, you left before any of this got a chance to be communicated to you. Most of Jamaica is using Flow internet provider and the network go down at times. 3. The property was cleaned a day before your arrival. For future reference, I will give each guest a checklist so they can score what they considered as clean or not clean. This will give the manager a clear insight on what to improve. 4. The cooking equipment was under the sink in the cupboards. The utensils, pots, and pans has a sign written above the area where they are stored. 5. The toilet did not work because the water was not turn on as yet. 6. The coffee machine is connected to a surge protector that needs to be turned on.
