Snarky Shark - Walk to the Beach

Welcome to The Snarky Shark, your perfect beach getaway in Jamaica Beach. Pull up and conveniently park up to four vehicles in the driveway, making it easy for your group to settle in and relax. This home offers plenty of space for everyone, with a fenced backyard where children or furbabies can safely play while guests unwind on the shaded downstairs patio. After a day at the beach, fire up the charcoal grill and enjoy an evening of great food and conversation with friends and family.

Inside, you’ll find all the comforts of home, including central air conditioning upstairs, split A/C downstairs, and ceiling fans throughout to keep you cool from the Texas heat. The living room features a plush sofa and loveseat, perfect for gathering together for movie night. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with everything you need to whip up breakfast or dinner, complete with cookware, utensils, and a convenient counter with bar stools. Enjoy meals at the dining table or step outside onto the deck to dine in the fresh coastal air.

When it’s time to rest, retreat to one of the two upstairs bedrooms or the cozy downstairs living area. The spacious primary bedroom includes a luxurious king-size bed, while the secondary bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed.

On the ground level with access from the patio, you’ll find a spacious air-conditioned room to relax. Please note that the downstairs living space, including the half bath, is not connected internally to the upstairs and is accessible via the patio area, making it unsuitable for unattended young children.

For your peace of mind, weather event cancellations are eligible for refunds if a mandatory evacuation order or large-scale utility outage occurs. Keep in mind that June through November is high storm and hurricane season, and travel insurance is recommended.

Occupancy Policy
Maximum 6 adults - maximum 7 with children. We aim to keep the home affordable for smaller groups. Therefore, there is an additional charge of $25 per night for each guest beyond 5 (regardless of age) and applies to the entire reservation. Please ensure your guest count is accurate when booking.

An additional fee of $50 per guest per night will be charged if the number of over-night guests exceeds the number on the reservation. Exceeding property max will result in eviction without a refund. Maximum combined guests and visitors during the day is 8 including children.

Parking
Depending on the size of the vehicles, the driveway can accommodate four vehicles. No parking permitted on the grass. Carpooling is recommended.

Pet Policy
Fully house-trained adult dogs are allowed to a max of two and max 50lbs each - NO exceptions - $75 non-refundable pet fee per dog per stay. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after (doggie bags provided) and are in a kennel if left alone inside the home. Only dogs are allowed - no other types of pets.

An additional fee of $100 per pet in addition to the standard pet fee will be charged and/or eviction without a refund for undisclosed pets.

Service Dogs - Texas House Bill 4164 penalties for falsely representing an animal as a service animal is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $1000 fine and 30 hours of community service.

Guests must be at least 25 years old to book, provide a government-issued photo ID, and complete the verification process on Airbnb or VRBO—or have at least one five-star guest review. The person who books must stay at the home for all nights, as third-party bookings are not allowed.

To make your beach days even more enjoyable, beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, a cooler, and a corn hole set are provided. Beach towels are also available—please wash them after use and return them to their proper place to avoid extra cleaning fees.

Smoking is not allowed inside the home; a $200 fee applies for violations. Smoking is permitted outdoors, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly.

The City of Jamaica Beach Regatta Basin, also known as the Marina, is located just six blocks away. It offers a single paved boat ramp providing access to the canals that lead to West Bay, along with a parking and seating area. A guest permit is required for use.
