New Year's Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the property and in Provo. This place is beautiful. With the beautiful blue water right in your back yard, how could you go wrong. Book this place. It's fantastic.

Our FAVORITE Villa after MANY Stays in Turks!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When I stay somewhere that was as amazing as this home. I always want to leave an awesome review. But, I selfishly don't want to say anything too great in fear that it will become too popular for us not to get the weeks we want next year!!! ha!! But...that is not me! I want to let everyone know that this home is SUPERB! The location, the cleanliness, the views, the amenities....I could go on and on!! Ciara greeted us. She was beyond sweet! Anna at Elite Destinations has been wonderful to work with! From our first inquiry to the booking process...easy and helpful! They were also super accommodating to our travel times! We have stayed all over the island for many years. This truly was our favorite! My favorite...the screened in porch! My husband and I traveled with our children (16 and 19), and my sister. I cannot recommend this Villa enough! We have been home for 4 days and we miss Villa Calypso A LOT! See you next year!!

Great spot with amazing screened porch.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect - we had two families, 9 people total and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The big screened in porch off the main room on the second floor was our favorite spot. The breeze was perfect. The pool was perfect for a cool off and it is shallow enough that you can walk for a while along the coast in the water. Kitchen had everything, we cooked/grilled often. Beds were comfy and bathrooms clean with good water pressure. Location was away from crowds, Taylor Bay beach is a short walk and everything is easy driving on the island. Management was great and responded quickly to a plumbing issue (more us than house) and any questions we had. Only thing I would say is that it isn't easy to launch and get into the kayaks. Provo has amazing snorkeling spots easily accessible from the beaches - but they are located on the North side of the island. We never had trouble finding parking even during busy spring break.

Loved the location within walking distance to Taylor Bay Beach or short drive to Sapodilla Beach. South facing on the quiet side of the island in an upscale residential area, yet only 20 min to Grace Bay. Home was immaculate and had everything needed. Between the pool, the decks, the oceanfront platform, and all of the amenities/toys, I rarely wanted to leave and spent most of the week at the house. Management company was awesome to deal with as well. Highly recommend to others and would stay here again.

Spectacular location, property had everything we needed, management company was spectacular.

I would highly recommend this house, it has everything you need and is right on the water. House is spotless and well kept and management team answers every request in minutes, absolutely a 5 star property.

Paradise

We were 4 adults and 5 children under 10 and this was absolutely the perfect house. The house is very well equipped from the kitchen to the linens. The adults loved the porch to stare in amazement at the view. The children went from the pool to the ocean constantly and couldn't have been happier. Jake and the whole management team were super responsive. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire stay.

1. The WiFi was mostly available in main rooms of the house. There were 9 of us so we had to take turns at times. 2. The refrigerator did not cool like it was suppose to and the ice maker did not work. There are stations very close to buy bagged ice so really was not a problem for us.

Great stay, but a couple issues need to be addressed

Great house and location. Very windy during our stay, but Taylor Bay was fairly calm and only a 3 min walk from the house. Amenities were nice, but the grill was broken (maintenance guy said it required a new part to be ordered), there is no garbage disposal (may be a septic issue), and there was little to no water pressure three of the days we were here. The water pressure was a neighborhood issue due to maintenance work being done, but just a heads up about that possibility. We recommend grabbing some bottled water to last awhile in case that happens during your stay. If you are looking to rent jet skis, call “rent a ski” on sopadilla bay beach and they will deliver them straight to the villa. Las Brisas is a tasty local restaurant worth checking out if you don’t feel like cooking every night. Overall it’s a nice setup that has what you need, and the recent renovations were well done.

Fabulous

This house met and went beyond all expectations. Extremely clean, everything worked great. The steps leading into ocean were perfect. We spent lots of time floating in the ocean right in front of the house. The closest restaurant is about a 3 minute drive and it was fantastic. Sopadilla Beach is also about a 3 minute drive and has jet skis for rent as well as paddle boards, etc. Adele met us at the house and was only a phone call away for anything that we might have needed.

Spectacular Villa!

This home was recently updated and they spared no expense! Each room was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to prepare a meal. The view was exceptional! But the best part of all was the screened in upper deck where we enjoyed every meal and relaxed on the couches in the evenings. We enjoyed paddling in the kayaks, floating in the pool and just overall relaxing in this home. However, we also ventured out from this peaceful environment to enjoy the near by beaches of Taylor Bay, Sapodilla and Grace Bay, all very close by. The restaurant less than a mile away, Las Brisas, serves delicious food along the waterfront if you would like a break from cooking or grilling on the outdoor grill.

Fabulous week in paradise

Villa Calypso was everything we expected to be and more. The rooms had the perfect number of beds and spacious enough for everyone. The kitchen and outdoor grill had everything we needed for the 9 of us and food shopping was easy. Being right on the ocean side was lovely for ocean breezes and the water depth was nice for football games at low tide with all the boys. Taylor Bay was also beautiful and a short walk across the street and we could kayak to Sapodilla bay too. There were plenty of places to be separate or together in this home which worked well for the 9 of us. Las Brisas was a great restaurant and bar a short walk away for drinks and sunset watching. We visited all parts of the island by car but our favorite was da Conch Shack and Kalooki's for their Scorched Conch and Conch Fritters. Getting used to driving on the left wasn't as hard as expected and the shopping in Grace Bay was fun when the boys went deep sea fishing one day. I felt very safe on the island and the locals were warm and friendly. The staff at Elite were very helpful and accommodating for any concerns we had and gave us the inside scoop on some of the island activities. Our favorite was the Fish Fry on Thursday night's where they have live music, multiple food vendors and island souvenirs in one spot on Bight Beach in the children's beach area. Overall a magical week for all of us. We travelled with 5 teens between the two families.

Perfect Family House

Villa Calypso was a perfect, 5 bdrm home in which to gather for our family reunion. Stunning, Taylor Bay beach is a short walk away and perfect for young children. Our group loved the pool and giant screened in porch overlooking the sea. Kerry and Adele made all our requests happen and took care of a minor AC problem quickly. We loved our visit and take away many happy memories of cooking big family dinners and game evenings on the porch!

Wonderful time!

The house was fantastic! There were a couple of little things that were broke/didn't work (tv in upstairs master did not turn on, outside basement porch lights did not work, one lounge chair was broke) but other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Villa Calypso was all that it was advertised to be and more!

Villa Calypso and its location were truly paradise for our 3 generational family. Breakfast on the amazing screened in porch, playing in the pool or calm ocean, and sitting outside enjoying the beautiful bay and full moon while the little ones slept in the house 30 feet from us was perfect. Just a short walk from Calypso was Taylor Bay where the water and sunsets were beyond words. The guys steamed fresh lobsters and everyone agreed, they were the best anyone had ever tasted. In high season, I would recommend you book any tours you wish to do weeks in advanced especially horseback riding. Do we hope to return to Villa Calypso? Absolutely!

Beautiful setting!

The space provided in this home was fantastic. We were a bit disappointed with the upkeep of the kitchen floor where the tiles were damaged. Also the dishwasher did not work very well and we ended up doing a lot of dishes by had. One of the air conditioners did not work and it ended up being replaced after a couple of days. We loved the screened in porch were we ate all of our meals.

Wow! It's even better than the pictures!

Our group consisted of 7 adults and two children (ages 11 and 4) and the accommodations fit everyone with room to spare. The location is breath taking. The house is beautiful. Not one person was bored. As a group we usually travel to Hawaii but elected to go East this year. We will be back here next year. This is not a knock on Hawaii, but we all agreed we'd never experienced anything quite like Provo. If you want to truly relax and get away to a tropical paradise, this is the place. Quiet beaches, blue ocean, snorkeling, white sand...

The Perfect Home!

We had a group of 9 friends who stayed at this beautiful home for 10 days. It was absolutely perfect for our group. The home is very well stocked, has beautiful furniture and is very well maintained. We lived in the screen porch and loved the pool. The dock to the ocean was perfect! We used the grill several times and loved the fresh lobster that the local fishermen brought to our dock. We loved the location to Taylor Cove. You definitely need to rent a car in order to take advantage of the island. We had a fabulous vacation!

Exceeded our expectations on every level

Spent a week at Villa Calypso with 4 other couples and 2 infants in November of 2014. It was our first time in Turks as well. In short, it was probably one of our favorite trips in a long time. Everyone had nothing but good things to say 1. THe house is in an amazing location to enjoy the natural beauty. Ocean in your backyard, with amazing southern exposure and great sunsets. We enjoyed the snorkel gear and ocean kayaks every day. The beach across the street was sublime, I actually proposed to my fiancee there. 2. Amenities at the house- They have thought of everything. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need, we cooked at the house a ton. outdoor grill, wine fridge, Dishwasher, etc. We used the washing machine and dryer regularly. having 5 bedrooms with their own bathroom each gave everyone privacy and comfort. Beds were great. 3. SErvice- literally, they were on top of any request or concern. The concierge was amazing and super helpful We hope to return soon. Eat at Da Conch Shack and Bugaloos. Be prepared for island prices on food and alcohol. If you can, bring another checked bag down with some food supplies and alcohol if you care to indulge. And rent a car.

Delightful villa on beautiful bay!

Calypso House was fantastic The view from the back porch is incredible. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, swimming from the dock and walking down to Taylor Bay, which was calm and shallow for the little ones. The kitchen is well stocked- the bbq area extremely nice. Turks and Caicos was an amazing place for all ages. We spent lots of time kayaking, booked two private island hopping days with Caicos Dream tours and snorkeled Bights Reef and Coral Gardens. The selection of restaurants is vast and the grocery store offers everything you might need (albeit expensive) We can't wait to return.

Memorable Vacation

Our family, encompassing 3 generations, vacationed here for 8 days; every one, without exception, thought the house ( which was as beautiful and comfortable as advertised! ) and the holiday were outstanding. The local representatives were at all times helpful and responsive to our needs. The kids particularly enjoyed the pool and kayaking as well as other activities in the island, including horseback riding and snorkeling. It was a marvelous experience worth repeating !
