This was a great experience staying in the houseboat in Amsterdam. The location can't be beat. We walked EVERYWHERE. All the stuff that you'd want to do is within walking distance. We were delightfully surprised with the breakfast basket delivered each morning. The whole stay was great. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful stay!

My friend and I had a great stay on this house boat! We loved the charm and the cute picnic breakfast was unbeatable! Would highly recommend!

Do Something Different!

Such a sweet way to stay in the City. Accomodatiin is perfectly located, close to railway station, Jordaan and Dam Square but so quiet. Boat provided everything from fresh towels to coffee pods and the breakfast delivered fresh by host Fritz

Amazing stay !

We had a fantastic and lovely stay. The boat was clean and nice, and the location perfekt! The host Flip was really nice. In the morning we had a very nice (big) breakfirst. We will come soon, that’s for sure !

Wonderful House Boat

I can really recommend the Ms Luctor to everyone that is looking for a relaxed trip to Amsterdam! The location is very quiet and only a few minutes away from the more central part of the city. The bikes and canoe were a very nice addition :) All together a very good stay.

Lovely Houseboat

We had such a lovely and easy going stay on the Ms Luctor. We were conveniently located near Centraal Station and could get anywhere we wanted with the bikes available to us. Breakfast every morning was such a treat. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had just enough apartment-like space to be cozy while visiting Amsterdam.

Wish we could have stayed longer…

Cozy, clean and homey! Very close to where the action happens but nestled in it’s own quiet community of boats, so we slept great, not only due to the lack of noise, but because the bed was also very comfortable. Flip is a really nice host and you can tell that he cares about his guests! We loved our 3-night stay and look forward to staying there again!

Wonderful experience

We had a fantastic time. Flip is a great host. Very attentive and knowledgable. The accommodations were very comfortable. Bed was excellent we slept great. Breakfast every morning was wonderful. The location is very convenient. Short walk to public transit. Close to dining and shopping. This is an excellent way to experience canal boat living in Amsterdam.

Staying on the water.

The boat is just as it is pictured. The breakfast was amazing every morning and when we had to leave early for our flight Flip brought the breakfast the night before. Wen I told him that there was an issue with the heat, he took care of it immediately.

Come with a sense of humor

The breakfasts were bountiful and wonderful. The owner lived in the rest of the boat, so he was easily available for any questions and check in was a breeze. This is an old boat with many quirks - none serious for us. It does need additional comfortable seating. It is a 20 minute walk to the Central Train Station and there are 2 wonderful restaurants close by.

Houseboat

The boat was very cool and in a good part of town, a short walk from essential areas. Flip was great, breakfast was sublime. It took a short while to adapt to the dimensions of the boat but after that it was great. I'm only 5'9" and the ceilings were low. If you were taller this might be an issue. Otherwise, a super cool place to stay.

Nice location

Convenient location to walk to Amsterdam Centraal, restaurants, parks and museums (although some were a good distance on foot). It was nice to have breakfast included although it did not vary much. The quarters were clean and the host was accommodating. One thing I will mention which would have made an enormous difference when choosing this property, is that my husband at 6'3" was only able to stand up straight in one of the three levels. I wish we had known this beforehand as it was not comfortable for him.

Three days in Amsterdam.

The stay was great and breakfast delivered every morning around 0830. We had breakfast in the Wheel house on the top deck. The next floor down was a sitting area with a small refrigerator but no microwave; the same floor gave you access to the toilet and shower. Bottom floor provided a bed, very-very small sink, and a place to hang a few things up. If you’re under 5’8” and barefoot you should not hit your head on the ceiling. I am 6 foot and 2 inches and hit my head a few times LOL… The owner lives on the same boat and was very nice. This boat stay was on my bucket lists of things I wanted to do and may do again but only if I could figure out a way to not hit my head. Bottom line - it was a very nice stay. There were 2 bikes there for our use but we opted to walk everywhere.

Charming B&B on a Boat

While planning our trip we were advised to try to find a houseboat to stay on. We started looking at options and couldn't believe our luck to find such a reasonably priced houseboat where we would also receive breakfast each morning! Flip is a fantastic host! He allowed us to drop off our large suitcase before check-in while we went to get coffee and breakfast after our long flight. The bed is very comfortable! Not too soft but not too firm, right in the middle. Flip very quietly came in and left our breakfast basket each morning which was always more than we could eat in one sitting and there was also a Nespresso machine with pods. My only word of caution is that (unsurprisingly) temperature control was a little challenging, the bottom part of the boat, where we slept, was always pretty cold. Also, there are low ceilings when you go down the steps and even my wife and I (5' 5," and 5' 3") bumped our heads a few times. All in all though, it was a lovely stay in a cute neighborhood close to the bus, the tram, and walking distance to many eating and drinking options.

Eine besondere Location

Flip ist ein sehr netter und informativer Gastgeber. Das Boot hat eine ruhige und dennoch zentrale Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll zubereitet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Eine sehr authentische Unterkunft für diese tolle Stadt, gerne wieder.

Ganz anders als online

Der Vermieter wohnt im selben Boot und hat einen eigenen Schlüssel, er kommt ungefragt und unangemeldet in die Ferienwohnung wenn man nicht da ist. Die Wohnung ist außerdem nichts für Leute über 1.65m, die Decken sind sehr niedrig und man stößt sich schnell. Die verstrochenden Fahrräder sind unnutzbar, sie sind total verrostet und haben nicht mal eine Bremse. Gleiches gillt für das Kanu. Sehr schade da es sonst ganz schön aussah.

Kurz trip Amsterdam Vater Sohn

Das Hausboot war für uns ideal da die Lage und die Preis Leistung sehr gut ist. Der Vermieter ist bemüht und bringt jeden Tag das frische Frühstück vorbei, etwas Zeit für einen kurzen Plausch ist auch. Danke für die Möglichkeit dieses Hausboot zu mieten, es war nett.
