The Francisco and Maria Amador house is a cornerstone of the Alameda Depot District in the heart of downtown. This historic gem is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and we welcome you to enjoy its beautifully preserved architecture and grounds. The 18-inch thick adobe walls and 12-foot ceilings provide a glimpse of the many original features on the property. This special place is 2-block walk to downtown. ALSO, pool and hot tub access is available at our neighboring property 3 blocks away. Check in with host regarding seasonal details about pool hours and access.

It was so simple to communicate with our host. He was so polite and helpful. We had zero problems. The house felt so homie, we were very comfortable during our stay. We hope to be able to stay again in the future! It is a beautiful home, we loved all of the details!

WONDERFUL! We all loved staying at The Amador House. Hosts were very responsive and friendly! We had such a fun time exploring the home and became so interested in this property we Googled for even more information about the history and the original owners. The photo album of the property restoration and the scrapbook completed by the original owners were nice touches. The hosts are so gracious to share this historic home.The home was cozy, comfortable and clean and the kitchen was awesome with everything we needed for a lovely stay.Telenna Thompson

Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! The house and all its charm made our holiday away in NM feel really special. We had everything we needed to cook, hang out and watch movies, play games and read when we weren’t taking day trips to White Sands, Organ Mountains and the slot canyons.

Beautiful house

The Amador House has been nicely renovated and is a comfortable place to stay. The kitchen has plenty of workspace. The appliances are good. The neighborhood is the prettiest one in Las Cruces.

You won’t be disappointed!

What a fabulous find! The house is beautiful and well appointed. Clearly the owners are experts in hospitality; we wanted for nothing. We felt welcome, at home and very comfortable. The neighborhood is like taking a step back in history and yet is close to downtown. And, there is an excellent pool and hot tub!

Absolutely beautiful home and decor, would not recommend for younger children. The pool is located a few blocks from the house and shared. The backyard is not inviting…no grass, mostly dirt and debris, large hole in the concrete. The hosts were wonderful; very attentive, friendly and helpful, customer service is 5 star!

Eventful weekend

The accommodations provided were satisfactory, as the residence was aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, and conducive to relaxation. While we had several engagements to attend, it was comforting to return to a welcoming and comfortable environment. We had anticipated utilizing the pool facilities; however, there appears to have been a misunderstanding regarding its location. The hosts were courteous and accommodating which was appreciated.

My friends and I loved this house. It is charming and comfortable. The hosts were very hospitable and came right over when my friends and I had a bit of trouble getting in. (We had not seen a keypad of that type before and didn't recognize what it was.) We liked the clean, bright kitchen and laundry facilities, also the refrigerator being stocked with condiments and a cupboard with some basic food items. The decor was ecelctic and fun, with stacks of interesting books and some cool artworks. The house is very classy on the whole. We would stay there again. There's a bit of room for improvement: some ceilings were dusty, with a cobweb or two. The upstairs bathroom is out of order and we hope the hosts will get it operating soon so occupants of that bedroom won't have to negotiate the stairs during the night. (There are two nice downstairs bathrooms.) The house should not be advertised as having an "on-site hot tub", as it doesn't have any such usable tub. There is an empty tub in the yard, sitting on bare gravel, that would have to be filled with a hose. Note: The pool that is available to guests is three blocks away at another property owned by the hosts. We did not go there.

5 star stay! An absolutely gorgeous property. The hosts have an incredible eye for styling and have thought of everything. It's an old house, so yes, it's got its quirks, but that is part of the charm. Loved how much space we had to spread out. We were able to use the hot tub/pool at their other property and it was wonderful too.
