The Francisco and Maria Amador house is a cornerstone of the Alameda Depot District in the heart of downtown. This historic gem is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and we welcome you to enjoy its beautifully preserved architecture and grounds. The 18-inch thick adobe walls and 12-foot ceilings provide a glimpse of the many original features on the property. This special place is 2-block walk to downtown. ALSO, pool and hot tub access is available at our neighboring property 3 blocks away. Check in with host regarding seasonal details about pool hours and access.

Absolutely beautiful home and decor, would not recommend for younger children. The pool is located a few blocks from the house and shared. The backyard is not inviting…no grass, mostly dirt and debris, large hole in the concrete. The hosts were wonderful; very attentive, friendly and helpful, customer service is 5 star!

Beautiful house

The Amador House has been nicely renovated and is a comfortable place to stay. The kitchen has plenty of workspace. The appliances are good. The neighborhood is the prettiest one in Las Cruces.

Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! The house and all its charm made our holiday away in NM feel really special. We had everything we needed to cook, hang out and watch movies, play games and read when we weren’t taking day trips to White Sands, Organ Mountains and the slot canyons.

The property was very nice clean. But I wanted a pool according to listing there a pool in stead pool was at a different property. Also was surprise there was no grill to cook out side.

It is a beautiful home with great character. Warm, welcoming, and very comfortable and relaxing. We were thankful to have stayed there! Hosts made a real effort to provide everything for their guests!

Eventful weekend

The accommodations provided were satisfactory, as the residence was aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, and conducive to relaxation. While we had several engagements to attend, it was comforting to return to a welcoming and comfortable environment. We had anticipated utilizing the pool facilities; however, there appears to have been a misunderstanding regarding its location. The hosts were courteous and accommodating which was appreciated.

You won’t be disappointed!

What a fabulous find! The house is beautiful and well appointed. Clearly the owners are experts in hospitality; we wanted for nothing. We felt welcome, at home and very comfortable. The neighborhood is like taking a step back in history and yet is close to downtown. And, there is an excellent pool and hot tub!
