Historical researchers claim the cabin was constructed around the 1820s in the community on the east outskirts of Lexington. We enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms were a little warm during the heat wave over 100 degrees outside but cooled down by night. Appreciated being able to bring our pet.

The cabin was perfect for a night on our mini road trip. Very interesting to walk around and take in everything. We were there are a very hot day and the AC had a hard time keeping up, but once the sun went down it became comfortable quickly.

Really interesting property. Nicely furnished and not cluttered. Stairs and bathtub were a little difficult to navigate. Host communicated well and nice location, close to Lexington but quiet.

The cabin was clean and the host was easy to communicate with. It should be said that it is a very old log cabin, and as such, heats and cools as you might expect...poorly. the upstairs bedrooms were 80 when we arrived, however, after dark, they cooled off nicely and we all still slept very well. Overall, it's a nice place, and convenient to travel around the area.

Loved staying here with my family! This was by far the best equipped kitchen with actual usable pots, pans and utensils!! Made it easy to make meals at the house instead of eating out the entire time. Nice and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Lexington, KY.

The place was very quaint and nice, but I did not find it to be dog friendly nor people with mobility issues. Friendly. Porches were falling apart. Afraid a dog could have gotten his legs hurt. Also, the stairs going up to the bedrooms I found to be very treacherous for any mobility issues and even for my dogs. One of our dogs actually fell and got hurt on the stairs. We do not blame anybody for that. It was a very nice place. It's just not conducive for dogs. I also felt that the cleanliness could have been better, but again it was a lovely place and a couple of issues could be corrected. I think it'll be a wonderful place for anybody to go

After retiring my camper, this was my first adventure using Vrbo. I’m a history buff, so choosing an old log cabin to stay in was my first choice. This 200 year old cabin certainly satisfied my needs. While sitting in the living room, surrounded by the old hand-hewn logs, it was a lovely trip to the past I enjoyed. The comfy decor and tastes of its owner were very pleasing to the eye. Everything you needed while away from home, especially in the kitchen, was available for use. It was a great choice and I hope to return again in the near future.

What a lovely historical home - we enjoyed all the artifacts in the home like the spinning wheel and antique sewing machine to give it that authentic old times feel. Thanks Laura for being very communicative!

This was such a fun, unique place to stay. Very close to amenities (Lexington, Richmond, etc.). The beds are very comfortable. The place is roomy, the decor works - lots of interesting antiques. We enjoyed our short stay.
