Mountains 4Life at Pilot’s Perch Too is our beautiful log cabin in Fancy Gap with long-range views of the Virginia/North Carolina Piedmont. The floor to ceiling windows bring the stunning views inside. Just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway, this log cabin home sleeps 6 and is furnished with everything you need for a perfect romantic get-away, family vacation, or peaceful getaway. Come make some beautiful memories at Pilot’s Perch Too!

Lincoln Log Cabin – Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in this charming and tastefully decorated cabin with vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows and glass door. See the long-range views from the living room, kitchen, dining area and loft.

180 Degree Panoramic Views – Enjoy the awe-mazing mountain views from the large deck of Hanging Rock Mountain, Sauratown Mountain, Pilot Mountain, the Piedmont and the Yadkin Valley.

Spacious Deck – Unwind in the patio chairs and/or snuggle by the fire pit on the love seat. Savor wine from a local winery and nibble on cheese and crackers while savoring the view from the exterior dining table or take in the breathtaking panoramic views while watching the birds glide below you as you grill.

Fire Pit – Cuddle on the love seat beside the gas fire pit while sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the city night lights of Mount Airy.

Cozy Cabin

Craving a cozy cabin getaway? 🏡✨ We love this little gem in Fancy Gap, tucked away in southwest Virginia. This was our second visit to Pilot’s Perch Too! The sunrises here are unreal 🌄 The cabin is stocked with the essentials & has all the small touches for a warm welcome! Lots of info provided in advance so you know what to expect. Every morning, we love to turn on the fire place and watch the sunrise while relaxing on the comfy couch. This year, we found an awesome hike just over the border in North Carolina, the 3-mile Grindstone, Ledge Spring & Pilot Knob loop, and it did not disappoint! 🌲🥾 After weeks in what felt like a literal frozen tundra, it felt SO good to soak up the warm sunshine and actually break a sweat on the trail ☀️💛 You can see Pilot Mountain from the deck, so it was really neat to get to hike it this year! 10/10 recommend 🙌🏼

Very nice cabin

This was a great cabin and it had everything we needed. It was clean and well taken care of. Beautiful view once the 4 days of rain finally stopped. Reflectors on the road were greatly appreciated trying to get back at night in the pouring rain!

Absolutely Wonderful!

This was our fourth year of enjoying the wonderful Pilot's Perch Too. This weekend was special time with daughters and sister-in-law. The view is so awesome as you look out over the beautiful mountains and it is so quiet. There is a feeling of peace and comfort that comes over your soul to sit and rock on the porch and view God's creation. We enjoyed games, cards, sports, TV and precious time together. The home is so cozy and always so clean and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Most relaxing home with the best night sky ever!

Loved every moment of our stay. Thank you Shannon and Brent for proving a fully furnished, clean home for our stay. The beds were the most comfortable ever! The deck I. The rain was awesome. The fire pit was a comfortable inviting feature on a chilly evening in September. The view from the deck was spectacular!

Piedmont views, wine and Music.

Pilot Perch Too was perfect for our visit, some hiking at Pilot Mtn., a little hot for our taste; but was part of our schedule of visiting wineries during the day and enjoying music in the evening in Floyd and the Blue Ridge Music Center; the views were magnificent to wake up to and enjoy as we ended our day sitting around the fire pit on the deck.

Cozy Cabin with a Awesome View

Excellent time with friends. We found the cabin fully stocked and with excellent decor. We loved hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Rocky Knob and visiting the Mabry Mill. Must spend some time in Mt. Airy and see the "true" Mayberry and the Andy Griffith museum and sights. The Jolo winery and restaurant was an excellent find as well with great food and an incredible atmosphere. Mount Pilot was another short trip worth visiting. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Awesome Girls Weekend

Pilot's Perch Too is the perfect place for a girls trip. This is our third year of visiting. My daughters each have three children and our lives are busy busy! We cherish a weekend of just us and my sister-in-law to spend together. Pilot's Perch Too is such a peaceful place with an awesome view. We spent alot of time on the porch just catching up with each other and remarking about God's creation of such a beautiful place. We cooked all our meals in, played games, read books, watched some TV and left after 3 nights fully relaxed! We appreciate the opportunity to go to such a wonderful home "perched" atop the mountains where we can watch sunrise and sunset! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great views! Much Needed Peace & Quite - Workcation

Brent & Shannon were great hosts. We would certainly recommend as well as stay again. The cabin was very nice and we enjoyed our time away from the Texas heat. The overlook of the valley was great and the hospitality of Brent was fantastic. We would certainly stay again. If I were to give one recommendations to future visitors (ourselves included): 1) We elected to drive in after my meetings in RDU ended. Trying to drive up the mountain and find the cabin in the dark of night (9pm) was not a good choice by us. Drive up in the day time -- save yourself the stress and enjoy seeing the deer and other amazing animals along the route! This is in no way a reflection on the property, just a suggestion based on my new-found wisdom ;)

Nice cabin, great view!

This is a well maintained and clean cabin with a great view. Although there are other cabins nearby, there is plenty of privacy, especially on the back deck. Check-in was easy, as you receive a key code prior to arrival. Check-out is even easier, as you simply lock the door as you leave. We enjoyed our stay and will likely return. Thanks!
