Mai Tide is a beautiful North Shore Hau'ula beach guest home with 30'+ of ocean frontage, spectacular sunrises & majestic mountain views. Dine on the lanai with turquoise ocean waters so close you can almost touch it. Our home overlooks the sea & mountains (a rare & gorgeous view). We are at the water's edge with a private lanai & seating where sea turtles can often be seen. 1 house from beach access, minutes from Pounders & Kokololio Beaches, white sand gems with fantastic body surfing.

This is truly a guest home away from home where you can have the vacation of a lifetime. It is designed with relaxation in mind. We offer 30 day + stays.

Our newly decorated guest home has 1 bedroom, 1 bed & 1 sofa bed along with 1 full bathroom, an efficiency kitchen, dining & living area.

Step onto your lanai for dining & relaxing, a beautiful sea breeze and ocean sounds heard from every room 24x7.

The bedroom area has a queen bed and a small desk overlooking the sea.

The kitchen/living area has a dining table and chairs, twin sofa bed, TV, closet and kitchenette featuring a fridge, microwave, 2 stove top oven burners and kitchen appliances/cooking items.

Guest access
Your vacation guest home has its own private entrance, kitchen, dining/living area, one bedroom, one bathroom, & oceanfront lanai.

Only one vehicle is allowed, and use of the home is for registered guests only. Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not allow other visitors to come to the home.

Other things to note
This property has a separate family house on the far corner of the property in a separate building (Sea Breeze) which is also available for rent. Please inquire if interested in renting together with the guest home.

We ask that you please respect the privacy and quiet (especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM) of our neighbors and guests. We love sharing our neighborhood with guests who respect our property, community, and family-friendly environment.

Two items that are strictly enforced are the one-vehicle limit, and the use of the home only to registered guests (please do not invite friends/family over who are not staying at the home without our prior consent).

We have plenty of Aloha and ask that you do the same!

Our private driveway has room for 1 car during your stay. Quiet hours are 10PM to 8AM. Visitors not in your rental group are not allowed.
Please take out garbage to the bins throughout your stay and before your check out. Please clean any dishes in the sink.

Cozy Oceanfront Cottage

The view is unbeatable - you are literally feet from the ocean with an entertaining view of the crabs below, crashing waves in the evening and a sunrise view. We liked being away from the hustle of Honolulu and instead having a quiet neighborhood. Beach access is just one house down to get to the rocky area below. The cottage is showing wear from the climate, such as cracked/bubbled/peeling walls, rust, etc. but those are cosmetic. Everything is functional and as described. The A/C unit dehumidifier cannot keep up with the heat and humidity, so don’t expect it to function like central air. We appreciated having laundry on site and Duane was helpful and responsive to any questions/concerns. North Shore Taco across the street is great as well as Seven Brothers burgers further up North Shore. Thank you for giving us a great getaway!

Perfect little get away for our Hawaii trip. Great location, quiet neighborhood, and wonderful views. Perfect side of the island for local goods and snorkeling.

Air conditioning on the ocean

We enjoyed our stay in Hauula. This little rental was clean and cute. The bed was comfortable and the hosts were very responsive. A few things you’ll want to know: this little beach cottage is right on the ocean and waves splash the two main windows looking out over the ocean. Luckily there is air-conditioning so you don’t have to have those windows open to cool the place down (or everything would be wet). The location was great for us. It’s in a nice little neighborhood and the neighbors are friendly. It was so convenient to have a washer and dryer to use. They also provided folding chairs we could take to the beach! We were happy at this rental.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location! Very peaceful! The studio was very humid and the AC wasn’t enough. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Stay

We loved our time at Mai Tide - it's a perfect waterfront 'home base' from which to explore Oahu. The unit has everything you need and is bright, clean and tidy. The kitchen is perfect for cooking meals and we loved enjoying morning coffee and evening drinks out on the waterfront deck (spotted a turtle one evening!). It is in a nice, quiet neighbourhood filled with friendly neighbours. The unit matched the listing pictures perfectly, and was actually better than we expected. The off-site property manager Duane was exceedingly prompt and helpful, as was owner Tracey. By way of warning: this property is on the windward side of the island, so we had fairly strong 'on-shore' winds pretty much constantly - however it wasn't really an issue (the 'leeward' side is also only a 20min drive away) and I'm guessing the winds are calmer at other times of year. All in all a place I would recommend to couples looking to visit the north shore without paying exorbitant prices for a waterfront place to stay.

Little slice of heaven

We absolutely loved our stay at this comfy cottage!! The location was perfect and so convenient to everything. Very comfortable bed and pillows! We had everything we needed to have a perfect vacation! The property manager was very prompt with responding to my questions and very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this rental and already have to several of my friends looking to stay on the island.
