This place is beautiful. The views of the lake are fantastic. The house is very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. All ages could find plenty to do. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were amazing, helping us with the fact that we locked ourselves out of the house without a complaint and a smile. We hope to return many times.

My 4 grandsons loved the water toys (Lilly pad, kayaks,etc). Everything was clean and the house was well layed out. Spent a lot of time on the porch off living area enjoying the breeze. Lana, our host, was very responsive.

Great spot!

Spent a week there with multi-generational family (oldest 80 and youngest 8). It was great. The house was awesome and the lot on the lake was fantastic as well. All in all I would not hesitate to stay again!

Great Family Stay

Amazing View

Everything was absolutely perfect. I’ve stayed at many places and would have to say this place is at the top of my list. One thing that really stood out was how comfortable the beds were. Additionally, the family room with the kitchen was great for family time. I would recommend this place to anyone. We had a perfect experience.

Amazing Family Trip

We spent a long weekend here and it was amazing. The house was clean and had everything we could possible think of available. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of them. The location of the property is also very nice. It is on deep water but at the mouth of a cove so you can see all the boating activity but they aren't coming in from of the dock. Lana is an amazing host. She was very responsive and generous. We also rented the pontoon boat they have available and that was a great decision! I recommend others take that option if available.

Incredible home with excellent view

Lana was very helpful and super easy to communicate with. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed and much more! Everyone enjoyed the spacious home, the open floor plan huge kitchen with island and definitely the cowboy cauldron! We loved everything about the location and ease of use. Thank you Lana for being an excellent hostess!

Perfect for us!

Everything was great from booking to check out. The house worked perfectly for our 24 hour staff retreat. Kitchen was fully stocked for us to prepare meals. The open living, kitchen, and dinning space worked great for comfortable meeting time. Beds were comfy and views were beautiful! Owner was great to work with answering all of our questions promptly before our arrival. A great place to bring a couple of families to enjoy some laid back lake living for a few days!

Amazing Stay!!

Wonderful lake trip

Amazing home! Very well appointed! Beautiful view! Easy access to Harbor Light Marina and tiki bar. Amazing Dock with fans and a Lilly Pad! Fully stocked kitchen with all the amenities you would expect at home. Last but not least, all the lake toys a kid could ask for! Would 100% stay again. Great experience and the kids had an absolute blast!! Thank you for letting us stay!

Lovely home

We had a great time. My 11 year old grandson made sure we played with everything in the basement. Saturday it was the ping pong table and the floats. Sunday the floats and kayaks came out. We rented a pontoon boat for three days so the big tube was a real hit Monday thru Wednesday. We fished in the evenings. Then the badmitton net was set up and corn hole game came out. We actually held a corn hole tournament on Friday evening. The 11 year old and his partner won. The house was very confortable and had everything we needed. We grandparents stayed on the main floor. The kitchen was big enough that we could all help with meals. Lana was very prompt and helpfull with a few minor questions we had. We were surprised at how quiet the lake traffic was. We had no problem with loud fast boats buzzing by.

Awesome Spot

We had a fantastic stay. The location is very convenient to Atlanta and a short drive from the highway. The home was large and clean and had high quality furnishings. Dock was very nice and seemed new with composite decking and had a Lily Pad float. Plenty of space for kids to run around in the grass in both the front and back yards. Indoor activities like the ping pong table in the basement were great to have when it was raining. Owner had great communication and instructions. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful house and location

Perfect place for our growing family

We and our grown kids and partners make 10 adults, 2 kids, 2 infants. All had a fantastic time in this beautiful home! The bedrooms gave each family their own room. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking and dining in….we even found the marshmallow skewers! Outdoors, we rented a pontoon from Harbor Light Marina - very convenient. We used the tube provided to pull the kids. We also swam and floated off the dock. We played ping pong, corn hole, and enjoyed down time in the basement while the babies slept. Plenty of room for the 5 cars arriving from all directions. Lana was responsive and gave great info on the house. Based on the guide, we picked up trash bags at the dump in advance, so trash drop was easy. We would definitely rent again. This is a GREAT family home!

Family Vacation

We have a great time and the house was outstanding for our extended family vacation Lana was also a super host and handled all of our needs with urgency and a friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful attitude. Amazing and Memorable Family Vacation

We stayed at this beautiful house with our best friends and 6 kids! The house was immaculate and very family friendly. The view of the lake with our morning coffee was perfect. Renting a boat from the local marina was convenient and made for a relaxing and memorable week. We can’t wait to come back!!

Our whole family wants to come back.

Six adults and seven children all had fun. The house is amazing and the lakeview was spectacular. This property wasn't our first choice, but we are so glad our first choice fell through. The house is beautiful, clean and critter-free. Great architectural design and features. Love the back porch overlooking the lake. The great room was perfect for 13 people, and the kitchen has more cookware than an Olive Garden. The best feature is the dock. Our seven grandchildren spent all day everyday swimming around the dock area and paddling around on the kayaks (provided) and paddle boards (ours). This section of Hartwell is quiet and feels safe for children to boat "across and back". The ping-pong table was an unexpected hit with the kids too. The Wertz family has done a wonderful job with this home.

Lovely getaway

We have a group of 9 that includes 4 seniors, 1 adult with disabilities, 2 adults, and 2 kids under 8. We found the property to be wonderful. The gentle slope to the dock allowed everyone to access, and the game room and spacious main room was perfect for big dinners and movies. We also loved the back porch and ate many meals out there with thankfully NO mosquitos! We rented a pontoon at Harbor Light Marina and so appreciated the raft that was at the house to use. Boating was a highlight! The beds were also very comfortable and plenty of private bathrooms for our 3 separate groups. Kids loved the loft. Thanks for an amazing stay and we will be in touch next spring!!

Small town country compound

This is a very beautiful home. The hosts are very nice and are easy to reach. They respond promptly. This is in the country so you will have some things to contend with like spiders and their webs, low water pressure and having to deliver garbage to the dump about a half mile from the home. The home has a very nice lake view and is close to i85 and a few minutes away from town. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Very nice place to stay!

Jeff & Lana Wertz are the owners of the property. Jeff is a custom homebuilder from Atlanta, Ga and Lana is a nurse midwife. We have 3 daughters who remind us frequently that we are never allowed to sell the lake house because they love it so much.

Our lake home is wonderful for kids. Our girls like to have bonfires, take nature walks, pick wild blackberries, play volleyball and badminton, boat, swim, wake surf, waterski, sunbath, etc. Nights at the lake are our favorite time when we cook dinner, sit on the porches and enjoy the star lit sky.

For those with older guests or small children, the walk to the water is short and gentle without woods to meander through. There is a master on the main with a king bed and on-suite bathroom.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose to buy this property when we saw the land come on the market in 2008. This was the best lake lot we had ever seen (still is). We spent 6 months working on the plan and built our dream lake home on the property. We knew the area well and loved the convenience to the property but also to grocery stores and restaurants. We also have a boat ramp on our property for your convenience, plus a marina with gas near our home.

We love getting to the house the first night, unpacking and going to the front or back porch and just looking at the view! We also like going to Lavonia which is 10 minutes away to get doughnuts on Saturday morning and walk through the small shops and antique stores. We also buy local produce at the farmer's market on the square.
