Summary:
This enchanting downtown Charleston home features two cozy bedrooms and two stylish bathrooms, perfectly blending rustic and coastal vibes. Natural wood counters complement the warm, inviting interiors, while traditional Southern charm shines through in the details. The open layout invites light and breezes, creating a serene atmosphere that celebrates both comfort and style, making it an ideal retreat in the heart of the city. Enjoy the 400 square feet of verandah, complete with a haint blue coffered ceiling, rocking chairs, and outdoor dining.

The Space:
The interior features a corner Master bedroom with a King bed and adjoining full bath. The second bedroom is at the other end of the home and features lots of light. Second full bath is adjoining, as are a full-size washer and dryer. The living area serves as a flex space with a queen-size sofa bed plus two twin beds. Plenty of space for living or sleeping, depending on your needs!

The kitchen is newly renovated and features marble countertops, open wood shelving, vintage look refrigerators, a coffee station, and seating for 8.

PARKING: This unit offers ONE off-street parking spot. Additional parking is located a block away in the City of Charleston parking garage at a charge of $18 per day.


This rental is fully legal and licensed with the City of Charleston: STR Permit OP2025-06299 and Business License BL020706-07-2020

Guest Access:
Each of our vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be provided the day prior to your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, our team would be happy to assist.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the Campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost. Day Passes are available with required pre-registration via a link that will be shared with you upon booking.

Day pass reservations at The Wonderer for guests of this property are completely free of charge. The Wonderer’s on-site parking lot is a paid lot, however there is free on-street parking in the area subject to availability.

Please note: availability at The Wonderer is not guaranteed without a confirmed reservation. The number of available day passes remains strictly first-come, first-serve. If you plan to enjoy The Wonderer anytime between April 15th - September 1st, we strongly suggest booking in advance to guarantee access.

The Wonderer has a minimum age requirement of 25 years old (unless you're a member, a guest of a member, or receive a special exception from club management).

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in the heart of the charming and trendy Cannonborough-Elliotborough district of Downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston's classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun and or relaxing vacation. The house is minutes to the very popular Upper King Street district where you will find a multitude of great shops, book stores, and fashion boutiques - as well as amazing restaurants!

Each house is beautifully unique. The culinary scene for which Charleston has become so famous is just steps away. The fantastic restaurants, shopping, and nightlife of Upper King Street are close enough to walk, but far enough to not keep you up all night.

Getting Around:
You can walk anywhere and everywhere in Charleston, but just in case, here is a list of the top transportation services:

The DASH trolley is free in Charleston. There are 3 routes, and two of the routes have stops just blocks from this property. More information can be found with the route map on the DASH website.

Other Things to Note:
PETS - As much as we love the four-legged members of your family, we do not allow pets at this property.

SMOKING - No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only permitted outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

CLEANING - Cleaning services are available during your stay for an additional fee.

LUGGAGE DROP-OFF - For guests with early arrival or late departure flights, luggage dropoff is allowed upon request for free.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON POTENTIAL FOR NOISE: Please note that there is a noise ordinance in this neighborhood from 10pm to 8am daily, so if you are enjoying yourself please stay inside and be considerate of the neighbors. Our location offers the vibrant energy of a lively urban setting, with fantastic dining, entertainment, and music venues nearby, including those on King Street, just a block away. While we comply with the city's noise ordinance and cannot control external noise, we advise guests that street noises and typical urban sounds are to be expected. Please be aware that being on the bottom floor of a historic house without modern soundproofing may result in hearing other guests or street sounds. We do not provide discounts or refunds for noise-related complaints. By renting this unit, you acknowledge and accept the potential for noise as described.

PARKING: One off-street parking spot provided. Additional parking available at nearby City of Charleston garage. No tandem parking, blocking driveways/stairwells. Motorcycles, scooters, golf carts not permitted. Plugging EV vehicles into home's power outlets prohibited. Contact Host for parking concerns. Non-compliance may result in towing by HOA without prior notice.


EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES HURRICANE POLICY: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect, and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation. During months when there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly recommend guests purchase travel insurance.

LEGAL STUFF - Please be advised that by confirming your booking, you are agreeing to the Rental Agreement Policy terms posted publicly on our company website. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us prior to booking.

TV: Enjoy SmartTVs with free content apps. Guests can log into their own app accounts and must log off before leaving. No cable or local TV channels provided.

GUEST COMPLAINTS: Notify the Host promptly to address and resolve issues. Failure to communicate complaints timely forfeits the right to raise concerns. Host not responsible for external noises.

SECURITY CAMERAS: This property is equipped with external perimeter security cameras to monitor public areas such as porches, parking areas, front doors, and common spaces. These cameras are active and record video and audio for enhanced security during guest reservations. Any attempt to disconnect, cover, or tamper with the cameras will result in immediate eviction without a refund.

Beautifully done home, plenty of space for 2 couples. Loved that the bedrooms and bathrooms were separated by the common areas (kitchen and living room). Located 1 block off of King street makes it very easy to walk to a multitude of restaurants and coffee shops. It is also close to the King street shopping district and many beautiful church buildings. Highly recommend if you want to be in the middle of the city with all it has to offer. But with that you will have all the city noises. The bars and restaurants in the alley adjacent are quite loud in the evenings and wee hours of the morning…and trash pick up was incredibly loud on the street (the wall/windows the king bed is on). But if you want to be close to all that King Street has to offer, then you will need to expect this. The beds were very comfortable, nice sheets and towels, and bathrooms/kitchen were very clean. The management company was very responsive and communications regarding check-in and info for the stay were great. Only had minor issue of the internet not being great on 2 of the days of our stay and a few items were missing…paper towels and coffee filters. We would stay here again.

This was a great location for our group! We found it very spacious and convenient. As others have mentioned it can be noisy at night but using earplugs and being generally tired from the day helped a lot. It was a little annoying that you had to call the property management ahead of your stay for questions but it all worked out!

We loved this precious apartment. Check in was very easy. Very quick and reliable communication throughout. Super clean. Beautiful decor. Fell in love with the floors!! We were helping my daughter move houses and it was so very nice to come home each day, exhausted, to this beautiful oasis. Made it all bearable. Beds were very comfortable. Super nice bathrooms. We arrived on a Sunday and the bar on King was hopping but just like it is stated in the description, it stopped right at 11pm so that was fine with us. Remained quiet until we checked out on Wed am. Hoping to rent again sometime! Thanks!

Downtown Charleston House

Beautiful house to stay in, check in/out process was very easy and seamless and the house was very clean. The construction was sometimes annoying but the property owner can’t do anything to help that and most homes in the area will experience the same noises.

Great Trip

We had a wonderful stay here! The property is very close to many restaurants and bars on King St. The house was clean and the owners were helpful! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Space Steps from King Street

Wonderful stay! Easy check-in and check-out process, space was just as pictured, very cute and spacious, and the space was clean! Came to Charleston with friends for the weekend, this place is so convenient to the main strip (King Street). Only note you can hear the bars if you really listen at night, however everything is closed by 2am and it never kept us awake. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely Historic Home Right Off King Street

Darling home with lots of space. Such a short walk to King Street. Great off street parking in the back. Nice touches like extra towels and laundry soap provided. Ideal for vacationing in Charleston. The bar behind the property is noisy. They were only loud on the weekend. We brought ear plugs and that helped. Would also recommend bringing a portable speaker to play music or white noise. But honestly, the location, price and property were worth the small inconvenience. Also, great host who gave lots of communication.

Charleston family vacation

We had a fantastic family vacation. There was 6 of us for a week and we had the bottom floor of the house. The house had everything you need and the beds very comfortable. The location was perfect for us. Bagel and ice cream shop across the street. Literally right next to King Street where you can walk to everything. We were here over Memorial Day weekend and the bar Uptown Social was very close by and you could hear the music until the early hours. We were ok with it but others might not be. We highly recommend this home.
