Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway for two. This is a peaceful quiet escape into nature. Attention to detail for providing comfort and serenity.

Close enough to Austin (20 miles to COTA), Bastrop (19.6 miles), and Lockhart (16 miles) for getting out to enjoy shopping, restaurants, activities, and historic small town Texas with a return to the country for rest and replenishment. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the front porch while watching the deer and horses graze in a nearby pasture.

Upstairs is a king size bed, and sitting area with television and Direct TV and wifi, and a beautiful view out the windows. Downstairs is a sitting area, full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave, and breakfast bar. Small bathroom with a shower and small size washer and dryer. Filtered rainwater collection system.

Perfect for COTA

My son and I stayed here for F1 races and it was absolutely perfect! My son loved seeing the horses in the morning. Very quiet and secluded.

Clean cozy cabin

Very warm and welcoming with a lot of nice touches. Barbara, the host, was very nice. It was also really neat to see her two horses each morning !

Peace and quiet!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are seeking peace and quiet from the thin walls of hotels. If you enjoy a country location, EXCEPTIONALLY clean stay, star gazing, and falling asleep to the sounds of nature this is definitely the spot!! Will absolutely rebook!!!!

Lovely tucked away barn dominium

We stayed for two nights while in town for a cattle auction nearby. Barbara was a very responsive host and the house was very clean and cute. The biggest items we needed were space to park our trailer and fast internet, both of which were met very well! Fully equipped kitchen was also very nice. The location was down a very long gravel road off of a very busy main road but you do get peace and quiet which is nice. We went to lunch nearby at Red Rock Steakhouse, which was very good. We would def stay again and may bring our son next time.

I grew up in Houston & my husband grew up in Dallas but we both moved to the country as soon as we were young adults to raise a family and enjoy small town living. My husband enjoys gardening, cooking and carpentry projects. I enjoy getting to know new people, helping others, quilting, visiting family and friends, and travel. We both enjoy our hound dog and 2 horses but don't ride anymore.

We are at the end of a 2 mile road and a dry creek that does sometimes spill over close to our house with heavy rain but it is a pretty piece of property with solitude and privacy.
