Our stay was wonderful. There was one plumbing issue mid week. The caretaker was excellent in resolving the issue.

Overall excellent with a few disappointments

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was beautifully landscaped with good accommodations, wonderful deck, and spacious living areas and bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped but with only 6 or 7 dinner plates and scant number of silverware, we had to hand wash the dishes in order to eat the next meal. Also, the major drawback was the outdoor shower which had a trickle of water -- so small it felt like we were showering in a light rain and there wasn't enough water to rinse off the soap. We enjoy taking outdoor showers at summer places and this very disappointing. No ac but plenty of fans; if it had been really hot, it could have been uncomfortable. Lower level smelled way too musty to use at all. Property close to beaches but truck traffic in the mornings on nearby Rt 6 was loud. Overall though, we enjoyed out stay there.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Delayed getting into the house as their was no lock box. For the first three days we had ants in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. we found an ant trap on the rear of the counter - clearly indicating that the problem was obvious. Since the problem was known - why did someone not remedy it prior to our arrival. We were unable to eat in the house for half of our time there. We have asked for a partial refund to cover the expense of eating out. These has been no response to us. We've rented thru the former owners of the company for more than 40 years - this is very disappointing!

looks are deceiving

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the outside the home looks comfy. However,each bed was rock hard. The house was hot and stuffy, windows were hard to open. The kitchen table had a carpet under it that smelled awful.I kept thinking it was the breeze coming thru the adjacent window. But it wasn't.The windows do not have privacy shades. Only cheap see-thru curtains. Not super impressed with the place.

Beautiful outdoor area, indoors needs updates

This house in Wellfleet was in a decent location, although we tended to drive to both bay and ocean beaches for swimming and playing in the sand, as the nearby water wasn't very accommodating to those activities. The house was clean, but did have issues with ants. The coy pond was a peaceful place to enjoy, but much of the touted garden was dead, perhaps related to the drought, although the sprinklers woke us up early every morning. The indoors of the house was very dated, particularly the kitchen and bathrooms. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was not comfortable. There is no air conditioning and although the owner's manual spoke of the wonderful airflow in the home, we were uncomfortably hot and found the fans inadequate for temperature house. During our stay, there was a brief power outage and we subsequently lost cable and wifi for the rest of the week. This would been fine, except there was absolutely no Verizon cell service on the grounds. During COVID, this is an issue as we were continually trying to figure out what was open, changes in hours of operation, online dining and ordering, etc. We had very limited dealings with Oceanview Realty, but found them unresponsive by email and phone. We love Wellfleet, but would not stay at the Garden House again.

After some stress and aggravation, the realty staff found us a fabulous house that had been cleaned to COVID regulations. It was an upgrade over our original location and was simply beautiful. That made the several hour delay and eating dinner at 10:30 PM less painful. We are now spoiled for future stays. All rankings below pertain to the upgraded location, not to 15 Drummer Cove Road. Giving Oceanview Realty a lower score because they were good in helping place us, but there were issues in the rental process and an issue with the original rental property. We aren't sure who is to blame for the double-booking, owner or realtor, but it definitely caused a lot of stress.
