The home was perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen and common area were perfect. Views from the bedrooms and family room are stunning. Great location just south of the touristy part of Kona backing up to a picturesque bay. Close by to Magic Sands beach and a good jumping off point for island adventures. The massage chair was a big hit too. Highly recommend this house.

Great Location

Absolutely perfect location! Right on the bay! It was so nice waking up in the morning, sitting on the lanai with a cup of coffee and watching the surfers. The home was very nice and had everything we needed.

Better than we could have ever asked for.

We had an incredible time. The house was beautiful. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves was amazing. Host was incredibly attentive. We loved the hot tub. We highly recommend this exquisite home.

Beautiful location

We have stayed at this property multiple times and will continue to return. The house has amazing views onto Lyman’s Point. You can watch surfers every morning while enjoying your coffee on the lawn. The owners have made several updates to the outdoor area making it more pleasant to be outdoors. We enjoyed the spa several evenings during our stay. The are several walkable restaurants from the home. We will definitely return!

Great House in a Great Location

The house was just what we were looking for...on the beach, easy drive to town, and fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We stayed 7 nights. We used the deck more than any other feature of the house where we drank coffee while watching the surf every morning and where we sat and watched the sunset each night . The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous!

The home is really beautiful! Fabulous views across the bay and ocean. The home is very nicely upgraded and very easy to slide right into. We traveled the whole island and this is a good middle point to go the north end or down to the volcano (keeping in mind it is a BIG Island). The pictures are spot on. Great stay.

Absolutely Amazing!

This house is wonderful! The location is fantastic, right on a beautiful bay where we heard the ocean all the time and were able to watch the surfers. The house is extremely well-equipped with everything that you need. It is very comfortable! Dave was great to communicate with. We don't want to leave!

It's worth it!

This place is definitely an amazing place to spend a vacation! The views are fantastic and watching the surfers each day was an added bonus! We regretted not bringing binoculars to get closer to the action. The house was wonderful and in a great location! This home is Very clean and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any of the many rentals we have stayed in. We really appreciated the deck and also the lawn (which most other rentals don't have). Pasqual was easy to reach and very accommodating during the whole process! We would definitely rent this house again! Thanks for great memories! Kathy and Garry

Relaxing and lovely home, great service!

This house is an amazing place to stay for your Kona adventure - it is centrally located on the coast, so we made a few day trips to see the Big Island sights and had a great place to relax in after a day's adventures. It is close to excellent family friendly snorkeling beaches, and the bay in front of the house seemed to be a popular spot for surfing, SUP'ing, and rowing. The view and ocean sounds from the house, especially the upstairs master bedroom, were unbelievable! The owners were super helpful with questions about both the house operations and info on local activities. They were very responsive throughout the process. About the house - The wifi and television worked very well. The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you would need (as is the rest of the home, for that matter). Each bedroom having its own private comfortable bath is a big plus! There are boogie boards available in the garage, and the parking was ample for our rented Chevy Traverse. We hope to return to the house again soon!!!

Beautiful Home with Lovely View

Lovely home with an incredible view. I was impressed that the home was so maintained. We had a small event there mid October (paid almost $4k for 2 nights with all fees including event fee) and the AC was out. We fumbled with fans and 2 portable AC units that were brought in. We had to vent them in the windows except one unit didn’t have enough panels to vent so we tried to use the blinds to vent and it popped the GFI. It was extremely hot and humid. We did our best shuffling fans. we ended up putting 1 port unit in the kitchen without proper ventilation just vent pointed at window. At one point even tried to leave the freezer open with a fan in front of it to try to cool off the home. It was mid October so probably one of the hotter/more humid days. Getting ready for the event, kept having to take breaks and stand in front of the fans. We were able to cool off the master bedroom with the other portable unit, but the rest of the house was hot. We knew it was out of the owner’s hands and he did bring in the the 2portable units. He was extremely pleasant to deal with, but we were not offered any discount for the trouble. Overall, our evening event turned out lovely, but the trouble of shuffling fans, trying to vent portable units that didn’t have enough panels to cool off the home (i feel) should’ve justified a small compensation, but none was offered. Had the AC situation not happened, it would of been perfect.

65th Bday Celebration with Family

The photos on the VRBO site are completely accurate. This place is magical! Experiencing the sight and sound of the waves rolling into the small bay that is the centerpiece of the house, especially early in the morning and at sunset, was mesmerizing. The house is just far enough away from Kona center to feel private, but close enough to get supplies, dinner, etc.

Best place on the island

The property exceeded my expectations in all ways. The location was superb, very comfortable beds beautiful views and plenty of extra supplies in cabinets for cooking and meal prep. This is a great place to visit. We will return for sure.

"Peace on Earth"

Happy St. Patrick's Day! In opening my families review of this incredible property I will lead with: If you don't enjoy the sound of waves do not stay here! My family enjoyed this special place from February 20, 2024, until March 5, 2024. This property has everything you needed to feel like home. We cooked up many an incredible meal for family and friends that left no need to eat out each night. The Lanai table be it early morning or evening was a perfect setting to visit, watch sunrises and sunsets, enjoy the incredible meals, or just to rest in solitude. The lawn area below by the rock wall was a great place to sit in chairs and watch all the sea life below in the tide pools. Feeding the six eels when the tide was in was one of our trip's highlights. Any fish trimmings would always start a feeding frenzy when they located their prey. The beds were comfortable. The fans above and the sea breezes thru the patio door screens was all the cooling affect you might need. We didn't feel the need to turn on the A.C. at any time. The bathrooms like the whole house were very clean. Hot water was never a problem taking multiple showers in the morning or evening. The kitchen cabinets we loaded with everything you would ever need to cook whatever meal was needed. The electric stove was a little tricky for us, I think mainly all of us had gas ranges at home. The barbecue though simple did and incredible job at grilling great steaks and seafood. Thanks David you were a great host Cheers!

Great views with many hiccups

We booked Dave's place to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The day prior to arriving, I had messaged Dave for check in instructions as I had not received anything. He replied many hours later saying he would text me the details. Never have I had to give personal phone number to get check in details, so I did not feel comfortable doing so, and on the day of the check-in, I messaged him on vrbo again for check in details. No reply. Long story short, we had to be re- wait 2 hours to get check in information

We love the Big Island because of its people and its raw beauty, and of course the dolphins and whales that live here. My wife and I run a Whale and Dolphin watching business. The waters near Kailua Kona are one of the best places in the world to swim with wild dolphins year round and these waters also have incredible humpback whale watching, in season.

I believe you will love this home, as we do, because of the beautiful view across Lyman's bay, which is considered sacred ground and it will never be developed. And you can look out at the open ocean as well. The pocket doors and windows disappear so you can literally bring the outside inside. It is only 20 feet from the turquoise water, and because it is a newer home it comes with central air, which is actually a surprising rarity in many oceanfront properties in Kona. I believe this home is one of the most beautiful homes on the Big Island. It has a simple unpretentious beauty. I love that we can share this home with others, like we have shared the beautiful dolphins and whales we love with others. Kona has so much to do; restaurants and nightlife, if you are looking to do that, or if you are like us, this is paradise for nature lovers. You will love the giant sea turtles and eels and fish and crabs and birds and geckos and dolphins and whales sighted at various times right from the home. Kona is a great community of people. And we are certain that you will enjoy staying in the center of this very culturally diversified community.
