Awesome vacation

The property was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Close to restaurants, downtown and the airport. Easy access to attractions and hi ways out of town. Highly recommend.

Was impressed with the apartment, it had everything needed for necessities. It had a kitchen that had a Stove, refrigerator, microwave, plates, utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker with pods and creamer.So glad I found this place, will be booking with them again.

This is a gem. Very convenient walk to grocery or the lake to see ducks and loons. Bus routes were short and required no transfers from the Dimond mall or airport.

Perfect stay in Anchorage

Thank you, Ross. We enjoyed our stay. The apartment interior was spotless. It was equipped with everything we needed. Both bed and living area couch were very comfortable. We found the building to be quiet and very convenient to the bus routes, a grocery store and restaurants. We were able to use the Anchorage Peoplemover Bus to get around to almost everywhere we wanted to go. It was a great location! We would definitely stay with you again!

Would not stay there again

too many stairs. freezing cold in the unit and could not find thermostat. appeared very old and dirty. We did not stay there. we were afraid in the neighborhood

Mis-represented location

Why is the rating an exceptional 10/10? It is a seedy neighborhood to say the least. The outside, the indoor lobby area, and the laundry room are all grotesque. There was trash on the floor, and the carpet was so dirty, I would not even feed a dog on it. There was a window open on the bottom floor late at night. We did not feel safe staying there. The owner mentioned that "homelessness is a growing issue in most of Anchorage.....you may see one or two unhoused individuals walk by the apartment complex..." Yes, we saw some homelessness, but what was more annoying was the actual maintenance people a few doors down. We were trying to take a nap but were disrupted by their loud talking! Also: 1) the heater didn't work. The owner said he had a space heater we could borrow. Then he told us how to turn on the furnace. We tried it, but it didn't work. Then we said we just had one more night, and to just let it go. 2) only 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth were provided for 2 days for 2 people, and no coffee creamer. When I brought this to the owner's attention, he told us to go into a supply room to fetch our towels. The supply room did not have the towels we needed. So when we told him, he brought a few creamers, and never brought a wash cloth, just a hand towel and bath towel. We found them outside our door, when we came back from our walk. This was our first time using VRBO. We may never use you again, after this experience. Coby and Genevieve Reece

Genevieve, We do our best to provide every comfort to guests. When you asked for creamer, we brought you extra, when you asked for more hand towels, we brought those as well. Yes, we had a maintenance guy on a unit below working in the early afternoon. I am sorry you were trying to take a nap at that exact time. There is some low income housing nearby which is off-putting to people who live in homogeneous suburbs, but there is also great restaurants and trails within a 10-minute walk nearby. We do our best to make sure that all guests are happy. Our rates are half that of hotels but our amenities and furnishing exceed the hotel experience. I am sorry this experience was not for you but encourage you to be kinder to hosts when they are doing the very best to make you comfortable.
