Welcome to Florida Room: Comfort meets relaxation in the heart of Downtown Gainesville

This properly furnished 2 story studio apartment offers a luxurious experience with:
- open floor plan on 2nd Floor
- cozy queen memory foam bed & a TV
- a state-of-the-art luxury Bathroom on the 1st floor with LED lighting, bluetooth speaker, multiple benches, & a dual-headed shower for ultimate relaxation
- a well-appointed Kitchen adorn with granite countertops
- complimentary coffee, gourmet teas
- a small table with 2 stools
- a front porch sitting area

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with private, keyless entry, ensuring a seamless check-in experience.

Guest Access
All guests may enjoy our fenced, private courtyard, & other lounging areas. Treehouse Lounge is open during 10:00 am to 10:00 pm UPON request & availably. (message us for inquiries)

Please be respectful of other guests during quiet hours;
quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 10:00 am, unless a guest rents for private events.

Street parking is available 24/7.

Loved our stay here! Clean, comfortable, awesome shower (!!), and the property/courtyard is lovely. We came for a football game and the location was perfect - just steps away from downtown.

Easiest check in and out process, very clean and updated room. Only a block away from the Heartwood sound stage and a few blocks from downtown. Worth staying here to cut the cost of uber.

This was my second time staying at depot village and it was wonderful! The owners are kind, conscientious, and were quick to respond to any concerns we had. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and the shower was amazing! The only downside was that the internet was a little slow, so we weren't able to use the bluetooth speaker in the bathroom very much. Overall a great stay though. We can't wait to come back!

While the exact date of Depot Village's construction remains a mystery, evidence suggests it was established before 1884, with possible origins dating back to around 1870. An integral part of Gainesville's heritage, Depot Village stands as the second oldest house in the city, with the honor of being surpassed only by the Mathison house, built in 1853.

Constructed from robust hard pine timbers and supported by intricately carved limestone pylons, Depot Village has witnessed a storied past. Once serving as the Gainesville Zen Center and hostel in the mid-20th century, it has hosted thousands of visitors over the years.

As one of the oldest and most cherished buildings in Gainesville, Florida, Depot Village remains a treasured gem, preserving a piece of history waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by discerning travelers like yourself.
