Long weekend

Nice quiet place at the end of a nice quiet road. Has nice living areas on the main floor and a nice suite in the lower level, both with bedrooms/bathrooms. Comfy couch and other nice furniture on the main floor with a lovely view of the lake. Watched deer browsing in the back yard each morning while sipping our coffee. Enjoyed our stay.

We had a WONDERFUL stay here, perfect for the two families we had staying together. The land is beautiful, the treehouse was clutch, and the bedroom layout was ideal. Thank you so much! 5 stars!

Beautiful area & VERY nice house!

We loved our vacation to Sutton's Bay! The home was so nice and the air conditioning worked amazing! The beds were comfy. Communication was great with the host. The list of restaurants was great - top notch! There was even a mini apartment downstairs! There is a little dock and access to the woods - so pretty!

Location is perfect, house is great

Overall, not a fancy property but a solid one for our group of 14. With three bedrooms, we definitely utilized all of the futons and stuff for our 3-family group. LOVED the big outdoor front yard / field. Kids and adults could play frisbee, hang out. Lots of laughs and fun! The back patio w/ the fireplace was simply lovely as we wound down each day. The location cannot be beat! Five minutes from Sutton's Bay, 10 minute to multiple wineries, 25 minutes to the top of the peninsula, and 25 min to Traverse City. Couple of adds - since we were in wine country, some wine glasses would have been good to have. And this may be random, but a griddle pan would have been handy. Tho I don't think we reached out to the property managers to ask on this front. Any time we asked, they were there to supply anything needed - more towels, soap, etc. Oh, we tried fishing in the lake several times, but no luck, so don't count on that being an activity. Overall, thumbs up on this property. Thanks for a great stay!

Hi Beth, Thank you for your kind words. We had wine glasses there, but too frequently they would break outside, so we posted notes about only having plastic outside. On your advice, we bought new wine glasses and hope they will survive for a while. We actually had a whole collection of good pans for the upstairs kitchen. But with the pandemic situation we narrowed that because we have to clean whatever is in the kabinets after each stay. Thanks for staying with us and please come and stay with us again. Mei & Michael.

The location was wonderful - very close to the venue of the wedding we were attending. The house itself was clean. It was nice to have 3 full bathrooms. Water was hot. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was responsive to questions. The outside property was a bit of a disappointment. The grass was very high. If we had wanted to use the fire pit, we couldn’t have. The grass was way too long to walk through. The air conditioning was not working. In all fairness, I reported this to the host right before leaving. We were only there 2 nights and spent very little time at the house. Nights were cool enough to sleep without air. So, I waited to report this issue.Just some small forgotten details - many of the windows and all of the door walls had no blinds or shades. A towel had been hung over one of the bedroom windows. There were some missing outlet covers. Bathroom lighting was poor. It was hard to put make up on.We appreciated the location the most. Suttons Bay is such a lovely little town.

Great weekend for a golf trip

The property recently underwent renovations and was nice and clean. The upstairs porch and picnic area in the back (with the fireplace) was very nice, we were most thrilled about that. A few minor things to keep in mind for future guests, there is no oven and the sink/shower water is very much well water, so if you are not a fan of the well water smell, your shower time might be reduced in half. Overall, the location is secluded and has beautiful morning views where the sun comes up on the small lake. Joe is great, he is responsive and wants to make sure you and your guests have a great time while staying at the property. Would recommend staying here for future guests.

Enjoyed the stst

Clean Number of beds was deceiving. 2 futons in the living room made socializing difficult Flooring in the lower level apartment was bubbled which made it difficult to walk definitely needs to be fixed. No oven was unexpected

Hi Irene, Thank you for your response and suggestions. Yes 14 is a full load but we try to show this clearly. The oven upstairs is a convection oven, the manual is explained in the welcome folder. We installed the bamboo flooring this spring and yes, we are aware of the buckling. It will be fixed in the fall. Thank you for your suggestions. Michael.

Great location and plenty of space

We were able to travel to so many fun destinations due to the amazing location! There was plenty of space to sleep and lots of bathrooms with tubs so we could get up and ready for the day and cleaned up at night! The family room and dining room were spacious and allowed us all to gather and play games. The deck had plenty of chairs and we were able to enjoy morning coffee and evening dinner/drinks with views of the pond. During our stay, we only had one minor issue, but the property manager was very quick to help. The dim lighting in the kitchen made it a bit tricky to prepare some meals, but it was well-stocked with dishes and utensils. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
