The stay was fine. My issues were with the VRBO person I was trying to deal with. Not only was there a language issue, I had no contact with my hosts because VRBO took four days to respond to my request to fix my email issue and why my booked stays were not showing up under my new email. The only good thing was the helpline person I dealt with did give me the number of the property manager so I could get the check-in info.

The condo complex and location itself was what made the stay worthwhile. Ideal location to explore by foot and driving the southern part of Maui and Lahaina. Easy access to the ocean from the condo complex was amazing. Though would advise future guests to communicate directly via Vrbo with the host as that has the best follow-up (i.e. use vrbo messaging vs any email or phone number provided). Also, the lodging price only includes 1 day of toilet, so be prepared to buy your own if you're staying for longer. (Note: my review would be 3.5 stars if half stars were possible.)

It was a very nice unit. Had all that we needed for a great stay. Loved sitting on the patio and looking out on the water. And walking along the water in the mornings and seeing turtles feeding off the rocks. Beach at the end of the street was a bonus. Kei was great - responsive when we asked questions. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice place away from large tourism centers. Everything clean and neat. Couldn't get TV system to work but not a biggie. Host was accommodating and communicative.

Had pullout coach bed was open and nearly impossible to close. Toilet ran all the time. Stains on mattress cover, pillows. TV remote did not work in bedroom. Homeless people right outside driveway, made it uncomfortable. Towels and sheets should be all white and a lighter material. Overall experience was disappointing as owner never replied to my request.

Great condo with amazing views . We watched the sunrise every morning and even saw some sea turtles from the yard. This is a great location to everything on the island. Definitely would recommend!!

So, so...

This condo works if you just want a place to crash. The location provides easy, central access to most popular destinations. There is a gas station and Starbucks, but the nearby strip mall is not too exciting. It is located in the second windiest small harbor in the world, so it is quite blustery in the grass area seen in the pictures and is not a place that you can relax and hang out. The last tidbit about location is that there is a huge row of cell booster panels facing the house/master bedroom. The kitchen has been remodeled and the bathroom was given a refresh, but it is evident that this place is a rental and needs a bit of TLC to fix up some things. The pullout couch bed was comfortable and it had the things we needed. This is one of the more affordable areas to rent in Maui. The resort areas are 25 minutes north and south of this location.

The place was clean. We really liked the view of ocean. It was nice to sit on the porch and enjoy it I appreciate having a parking spot and the check in process was easy. The fan in the bathroom did not work. Everything else worked though. Location worked out well too.

This property was everything they say and more. The beach and pool are right out your back door and parking is just as close out the front. You could not get a more convenient and beautiful location. The condo had everything we needed to feel right at home. Thank you!!

Island Retreat

We enjoyed our long stay at this condo. The condo is in a quiet neighbourhood and is situated for great views of whale watching and sunrises over Haleakala. Great central location for visiting different parts of the island. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was wonderful. There is a dedicated parking spot for the unit. Lovely place

Loved this property - the lanai/neighborhood were very quiet and relaxing and the pool was lovely. Loved the area - away from the mega touristy areas - but close enough to amenities and beaches.

Almost ideal setting

We have been to Maui many times and so had a good idea of what was important to us: Convenience of getting to the various things we love about Maui. This condo definitely has location, location, location. We loved our stay at this oceanfront condo, although I would have rated it at 4.5 stars instead of 5 if that choice was available. This is not a luxury accommodation, and it is not priced that way. First the positives.Maalaea Harbor is centrally located so we could get to activities all overthe island without much of a hassle. We could get to south to Wailea or north to Lahaina/Kaanapali, with equal ease. And our journey up to Haleakala for a “Sliding Sands” hike was not only easy, but we were able to determine prior to setting out whether the summit would be clear or fogged in.The proximity to Maalaea harbor - and its shops - was a two minute walk without going on the street. A great benefit. The property was very nice. Not luxurious by any means, but quite comfortable. The view from the lanai across to Kihei/Wailea was great. It would have been better two stories higher, but likely would have cost more. In my opinion, this condo was sized perfectly and outfitted perfectly for a couple on vacation whose main focus was enjoying all that Maui has to offer.The negatives: The televisions were not properly connected to a local cable system, but the WiFi did allow streaming after a sign in. The AC was not totally effective in the bedroom.Our host was very responsive.

Perfect Location

The condo was just as described. It is very comfortable and it just worked. We walked the marina every night as it was so close to the condo. I liked the preassigned parking. The kitchen was fully equipt for our needs. The bed was comfortable. I was not able to open the bedroom window, and that would have helped the sleeping temperature in the bedroom. The bedroom is the farthest room from the air conditioner but the fan helped.

Central to all that is Maui

Very nice. Quiet. Easy to travel to different areas of the island. Watched whales every day from the patio. Only problem was bedroom tv did not work. Not a biggie!

Maui is our favorite Hawaiian island and Maalaea is the most centrally located oceanfront place on the island. Located 10 miles from the airport, 15 miles from Lahaina, and 12 miles from Makena. This condo is just 60 feet from the water with beautiful views of Maalaea Bay and Hakeakala from inside our home and even more spectacular from the Lanai.

Unique benefits of our condo is that we try to provide as much as possible that you will need for a memorable stay at our condo. Come enjoy the sounds and views of the ocean and not worry about what to bring. Relax on the lanai in our comfortable swivel chairs while enjoying a refreshing drink and take in the ocean views, swaying palm trees and beautiful sunsets. Watch turtles, whales, and surfers catching a wave. Walk on the sandy beach or go snorkeling using provided snorkel gear and beach towels. Take the beach chairs and cooler to the beautiful sandy beach and just relax. Had to much sun? Come inside and try to decide what to do between TV, movies, books, music library or Wifi. Our fully stocked pantry and kitchen will encourage you to eat in. We are just a few miles from the grocery store.
