We stayed at Shannon’s place to celebrate our daughter’s wedding and it was more than enough room for eight adults. The location was excellent and looked out onto the lake. It was nice and quiet, but not too far of a walk down to Lakeshore Drive. I am certain we will stay there again!

Had a wonderful stay and the property was exactly as described and well stocked. Will definitely return to rent this place again. Loved how close it was to everything. We walked to the beach, farmers market and the brewery. The host was super attentive and excellent at communicating with us.

Family getaway

Minor cabinet maintenance needed.Blind system is a little hard to work.We had one minor incident that needed immediate attention and was taken care of promptly and professionally. Good location, nice outdoor areas, quiet, good walking trails, shoet drive to downtown and excellent beach access. Overall, very nice and accommodating.

Groom's Family Escape

Our entire family with two infants stayed at Sylvan Lake for our son's wedding. It was fantastic. We set the families with children up in the downstairs bedrooms so we could socialize upstairs as adults and not interfere with naps. Lake view, beach, park and shops within walking distance (a longer walk...which we liked). Shannon was responsive to our questions - I would return for another vacation that didn't involve a wedding! We ran out of time to explore all that Sylvan Lake has to offer!

Gorgeous setting and fantastic set up!

We spent a week at this property for my dad's 80th birthday and it was absolutely perfect for us. Directly across from the lake and an easy walk or cycle to the lakeshore promenade, the house is spacious with great decor, comfy beds and couches and enough bathrooms for everyone! The deck is especially amazing. We probably spent 90 per cent of our days there. There's enough space to seat 10 comfortably. Shannon has thought of great touches to make your stay simple- camping chairs, beach towels, an outdoor shower and a book exchange are a few of the things we took advantage of. She's also a great communicator- fast with lots of helpful information. Highly recommend adding the suite in to your rental as you'll value the extra lounging and fridge space for a bigger group. We dearly hope we have occasion to come back and spend time at this property again.

3 Jarvis Bay Drive

This house is very cozy! It is right across the street from a smaller public beach that is well known by the locals who were very friendly. It was also nice to see bylaw and the RCMP come around to check the area. We spent a lot of time on the front deck as the view was amazing. There is also a back deck that provided great shade when we needed to have some relief from the sun. This house provides all the essentials we needed for our brief stay. The master bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was very nice. The fridge is newer but does not make ice so bring your own icemaker or buy before you get there. If your party is large, I would recommend renting the downstairs suite that has it's own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room with a deck off the side door. The owner was amazing to deal with. If I had any questions, she would get back to me right away. I would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely rent again.

Spring Sunsets

We chose Shannon's place because of the view and the large comfortable front deck facing the lake. Both were great and the sunsets were spectacular. There's also an east deck for morning coffee. We all appreciated the abundance of natural light in the home, the well appointed kitchen with lots of extra pantry and fridge space. We rented the additional suite as well which is a good choice as it's very large and self contained and if people wanted their own space for awhile it was available. The outdoor firepit in the back was great in the evenings Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the space and we all recommend it.

Summer at the Lakehouse

My family of 5 (3 kids ages 7, 13, 16) and my sister’s family (one child age 9) spent a week at Sylvan Lake. My parents also joined and stayed in the attached suite. It was the perfect amount of space for all 10 of us. The house looked just like the listing. The bedrooms were large with comfortable beds. Our favourite part of the house was the large deck out front. We spent many nights out there visiting and enjoying the view. The beach is across the street so we spent a lot of time there. There are both sunny and shady spots on the beach which was perfect. The kids also loved skateboarding and biking on the street in front of the house. Some days we’d walk on the boardwalk into town to get ice cream. It was a nice mix of beach time, deck time and walking into town. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out. We had a wonderful holiday at this large and well appointed house. It had everything we needed. The kids loved the outdoor shower to get the sand off before coming back inside. We spent a few nights making s’mores at the outdoor firepit. There is definitely something for everyone at this fabulous rental!

Disappointed for the cost

This is a very nice property but for the cost, a little too much "Self Serve" and no attention to detail on cleanliness. The ceiling fan light in the living room was full of cob/dust webs, there were bits of food on the kitchen counter, the barbeque was not clean so we could not use it (don't want to be scrubbing a barbeque on my vacation!) the deck cooler had not been cleaned and there were food stains on the deck. The water dispenser was empty - guests are asked to leave at least one day of water for the next guest but the prior renter did not, so we had to go get water first thing. Very limited TP and paper towels, although the owner did give us the ability to enter the storage area to get more. The master bedroom is as nice as it looks, but at this price I would have expected nicer sheets, not really thin sheets with pilling. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you need to cook including a gas stove. Not sure how anyone renting the whole house could ever meet the laundry requirements of washing all the sheets and towels before 11:00 AM checkout. Half the guests would not be able to use sheets or shower the night before. At this price point you should not have had to wash your own sheets and towels. Very nice house, nice furniture and a great deck close to the water and priced for a premium experience - unfortunately many of the premium details seem to be neglected.

Amazing cabin and location

My young family had a great short vacation here in July 2020. An amazing small beach park is steps away down the quiet street. Cabin was clean, bedrooms were generally large (esp master), and the kitchen was well stocked with everything. Highly recommended!

Executive House on Sylvan Lake

This house, accommodation and surrounding area is a perfect get-away for a family reunion. We had six people in our group and we had a wonderful time reminiscing while having barbecues on the beautiful surrounding deck (more than one on the property) or just dining inside with a well appointed kitchen. Great views of the lake and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms make it an ideal spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. A few minutes away is a great promenade/walkway along Sylvan Lake where one can visit stores, and restaurants or just enjoy the beauty of water and nature. And the owner was very service oriented. 5 out of 5!
