Whether fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, birdwatching, mountain hiking, backroad biking, berrypicking or just enjoying a quiet cabin at a beautiful lake smack dab in the middle of Maine, aka "Vacationland," to recharge your batteries is your aim, this 776 sq. ft., 100+ year old, rustic camp at Sebec Lake with 3 bedrooms, 0.75 bath, eat-in kitchen, living room and wraparound, screened-in porch is ready for you to enjoy. The granite-rimmed Sebec Lake is roughly 11 miles long and about 2 miles at its widest. Bass, togue (lake trout) & landlocked salmon are some of the favorite catches. Multiple locations on public lands along the shores are wonderful for picnics.

A dock for your boat (or for rented canoe/kayaks) is available. Paddles, cushions and life preservers come with rentals, free of charge.
A public boat launch is only about 1 mile away, up Maine State RTE 150 (Sebec Lake Road).
Pets are possibly permitted (with host's prior approval & additional fee).
Sorry, but no smoking on premises allowed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was clean and cozy and if I had any questions Alex answered right away. We loved the screened in porch!!

We appreciated how respectful our guests showed our camp and the clean condition they left it...but mostly we appreciated that they enjoyed themselves at what we think of as paradise. We would gladly host them again.

Alex is fabulous. He gave us a wonderful tour and was very flexible. This is a wonderful place to visit! You will enjoy this place very much! I hope to get back there again!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely summer house by the lake. Our host could not have been more welcoming, kind, and helpful. The location is great, with nearby trails to explore and places to paddle to and swim. We loved walking our dog down the quiet country road in the evenings.

This was a beautiful rustic cabin set in a very quiet but beautiful spot! We have already booked it later in the season.

J. was an absolute gem of a guest. She was responsible, communicative and respectful. The place looked even cleaner than before she arrived...and we cleaned it to our absolute best. I would gladly host her again.

This property is a seasonal camp that is not winterized. I say that to accentuate the fact it has a rustic cabin feel. If you're looking for granite countertops and remote control darkening blinds, you should look elsewhere. This place is clean, well kept and well stocked with more necessities than most VRBO camps, but luxury accommodations it is not. I say that IN NO WAY to throw shade. We got the exact charming, old school camp we had hoped for. A place that reminded us of childhood in the best possible way. You are greeted with the smell of natural wood upon entry and the glorious sound of the slapping wooden screen door behind you. The floors have irregular high and low spots and the decor is old school and outdoorsy. This is what I remember as "upta camp" The most significant challenge is parking and the host is well aware and as helpful as he can be. The camp is part of an association that restricts MOST vehicle traffic. One parking area is shared by many cabins and visitors must access their location on foot or by boat from nearby slips. FORTUNATELY. Alex's cottage is the closest one to the parking area (still a few hundred feet away). It makes the packing and unpacking process less convenient than a regular driveway! Alex is aware this can be a challenge for some and was fabulous about communicating and assisting in making the process easier. I would strongly recommend visitors being prepared for this factor less they be disappointed!We loved our stay!

Our guests were great...communicative if they had questions, patient and understanding of various quirks...and left the camp clean...they were very easy to host. We would gladly see them back again.
