Beautiful space, not the best for families with littles

It was a beautiful home! The location was fantastic. Parking was hard, but that’s typical with Chicago. We do have a 1.5 y/o and felt that the decor, setup with the owners living right below us, and the space overall was not toddler-friendly. I should’ve done more research on that but we prioritized the location near a venue for a wedding.

Thank you. It is a beautiful home in a fantastic location. The listing says “Please no children under the age of 6.” We understand many don’t read the details when booking. We weren’t going to ask this user to change the booking last minute once we learned a toddler would be coming. Instead, we pulled out our safety gate and accommodated these guests as best as possible. We provided child friendly snacks too. But all of these accommodating details were overlooked and thus received a 4-star review. We agree that we aren’t ideal for children, and the listing says as much. But we accommodated and went above the average rental to help the circumstances.

Very helpful host!!

We were put in a bad situation with our original Vrbo booking and didn’t have a place to stay, so Kathleen went above and beyond with working to accommodate us on short notice. The apartment was very comfortable even though the bedrooms weren’t very spacious. The permit parking was difficult with a family with small kids because we had to work pretty hard to find a decent place to park. Overall, it was a great place to stay with a fantastic host! Would recommend!
