Time spent in Southcott Pines, in Grand Bend will be a balm to your soul. Old growth oak and towering pine trees provide a shady refuge in any weather.

Shady Oaks Cottage is a totally renovated split level family cottage set up for a comfortable beach vacation. The beach in Southcott Pines is one of the best on the Lake Huron Shoreline. A nice sandy bottomed entry takes you into the blue waters of Lake Huron. The beach is a short walk away over quiet residential roads which wind through the forest.

Relax on the large side deck with your new novel, or just stretch out inside the large living room. A gas fireplace in the lower level living room will ward off the chills on the cooler nights. Try out that dish you have been meaning to cook in the large kitchen. There is a huge amount of counter space.
This cottage has 4 Queen, 2 Double and 1 Twin Bed .

Shady Oaks is set up for fun! Enjoy a game of billiards or ping pong if you are inside on a rainy day. Have a seat at the bar for a glass of your favourite libation.

The property is nicer than the pictures on the posting. There was some minor issues connecting to the TV but once communicated to the Host, they were quick to correct the issue, the very next day. Thank you!

Great Vacation in the Pines

Property in great shape & clean.Would have preferred Bed sheets & Towels included.Would recommend for any one to vacation.

We had the pleasure of hosting Ken and Barb, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Communication was smooth and timely from the start, and they followed all house rules with care and respect. The property was left in excellent condition — clean, tidy, and well looked after. Ken and Barb was courteous, considerate, and a genuinely thoughtful guest. We'd be happy to host them again anytime and would highly recommend them to any other host. Lots of room for our group and well equipped kitchen Easy to get to and well located to get shopping, wineries and the beach even though we had bad weather We couldn’t get either tv to work so it was lucky that my son in law had a fire stick we could use on one of them. We contacted the owner but did not receive any help.

Quiet location near to all that Grand Bend has to offer. The house has plenty of space for a family to spread out and enjoy. There were lots of games to keep us busy without having to leaving the house. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to returning next year.

Girls weekend away

We had a great weekend stay at this house. Everything was clean and as shown in the listing. Very happy with the layout. Lots to do and not do as we wanted. It has a very private backyard, and a great walking area. Love the game room downstairs. Would definitely rent this property again and suggest it to friends and family. Thank you for sharing with us.

Pro's: Great quiet location close to Grand Bend businesses, well stocked kitchen, nice comfortable furnishings. Con's: Not told about bring your own linens and towels till after booking was charged to credit card. Charged a $500.00 security deposit (not stated in pricing details)

Pros:The house was lovely. Better than the pictures. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook. The pool table was so much fun Lots of space on the property Has great vibes The upstairs bedrooms had amazing and comfortable beds. Great location... quiet, beautiful mature trees, short walk to the beach & a 5 minute walk to the park which the grandchildren loved. The Cottage was spacious & perfect for our family of 8 adults & 3 children. Kitchen was great for working in...lots of counter space. Loved how you could access the outside deck from the kitchen that had a large table for everyone to sit at for meals. Host was great & responded to all my questions promptly. Would definitely recommend this cottage and the location.
