At the Anini Reef Cottage, sustainability is part of the experience. We are committed to reducing single-use plastics and ask each guest to bring a reusable metal water bottle. These can be packed in a checked bag or carried empty through TSA and filled at the airport. During your stay, you’ll enjoy ultra-pure, filtered tap water. And if you enjoy sparkling water, your in-house water bubbler is available to make fresh sparkling water.

While the cottage encourages a slower pace, adventure is never far away. Just a short drive brings you to the best of Kauai’s North Shore, including:
• Hanalei Bay – World-renowned for its crescent beach and charming surf town.
• Kilauea Lighthouse & Wildlife Refuge – A must-visit for bird watchers and scenic vistas.
• Na Pali Coast & Ha‘ena State Park – Hike the iconic Kalalau Trail or explore pristine Ke‘e Beach. (Permits required)

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, particularly for stays during hurricane season.

Our standard cancellation policy remains in effect in the event of hurricanes, tropical storms, severe weather, airline cancellations or delays, and other travel disruptions. We will not modify or waive our cancellation policy because a guest chose not to purchase travel insurance.

By declining travel insurance, you accept the financial risk of cancellation, delay, or interruption of your trip. Choosing not to insure your vacation does not transfer that financial risk to the homeowner or Management Company.
