Love it!!

Everything in this home was prefect! There was a big hill side where we got to sled down and played in the snow. Our vacation ended too quick! Will rent again.

Nice House, Great Location

Pros:Great location with easy access to Heavenly. The house had plenty of space and lots of beds, which made it very convenient for our group. Overall, it was mostly clean and comfortable.Cons:The walls are quite thin, so noise travels easily between rooms—we could hear conversations from the other side of the house. One bed appeared to have hair in the sheets, which made us wonder if it had been properly cleaned.

Best house for my Bachelorette getaway!

This house was near South Lake Tahoe. It was no more than a 15-minute drive to the water, to places for coffee, or a place to have dinner. It was spacious and there were so many beds! We were comfortable. While we were there the temperature outside reached 80 degrees and the house stayed cool throughout the day, but it did get very warm in the evening, especially upstairs. Be prepared if you're staying in the summer, you will not need pajama pants! We loved this house and would gladly stay there again.

The house is a 1970s A-Frame, boasting several upgrades, and we believe there's nothing outdated or unconventional about the cabin. The cabin perfectly mirrors the images provided in the listing, except for a new dining table and light fixtures. If you were seeking a standardized environment with uniform features, perhaps a hotel would have been more suitable for your preferences. Our cabin, however, offers a cozy and timeless ambiance. We strive to ensure an exceptional stay for all our guests and eagerly anticipate this property hosting many more satisfied guests, as reflected in our numerous positive reviews.

Super nice place, great location

A couple of my friends and I booked a little reunion trip overnight here. The place is super nice and easily accessible. It was very clean, and a great place to host a group of people. There was more than enough room for all of us. The owner was very friendly. Sometimes I feel like renting someone's place, you feel like an imposition on the owner or like your in trouble. This was probably one of the kindest and most communicative hosts I have dealt with. The location is also good, it is very close to heavenly and the kind of downtown area of South Lake Tahoe. It is also close to accessing different roads that can take you to other mountains, route 80 or North Lake Tahoe. Thank you for the stay! I highly recommend, super easy check in/ check out process, friendly owner, great location, and a clean place with lots of accomodations.

Not worth it

I was reluctant to book this property because it was very expensive and then when you finalize it had all the extra charges: Host fees, Cleaning fees, Service fee and Tax. So we are paying a very large amount a night for this rental. But it's our anniversary, it looks amazing so we are going to splurge! We drove up to a very nice, quiet neighborhood, but immediately we notice that this is THE un-cared for property in the nice neighborhood. Weeds and garbage in the front yard, an old mattress and umbrella on the side of the garage, dead plants at the doorway, and a broken backyard fence that was just propped up to the side. The patio furniture and BBQ was filthy and plastic, so we did not enjoy the outside deck at all. The house inside was clean, but dated. We don't mind old furniture, but the leather couch was sunken in the middle and the sides had you leaning in and it was very uncomfortable. The other chairs were ripped and torn and not comfortable either. The only other option was metal chairs at the dining room table and for those of us who like to read a lot, it was not fun. The battery for the TV remote was dead, so no TV for us on night 1. I contacted host and she did send someone the next day to blow off the porch and leave new batteries. We were not there at the time, so that person came inside the house and left the batteries inside and we were kind of freaked out by that. TV remote still did not work for night 2, so I found myself watching you tube videos on my phone on a metal chair. It also can be quite warm. So I'm sweating on a metal chair watching you tube videos on my phone! Sweet. In the morning I went out to the back yard and there was lots of garbage, among that an old sled that shows that this place has not been cleaned up since winter! This is July. After sending the damning photos the rental company did refund one whole night, but it had already ruined the vibe for us. Don't do it.

When we first pulled up to the property it was nice. Owner was nice to let us in a bit early to check in. This is why the place is receiving a two star ⭐️. However, when we walked into the cabin, it had an odor and we had to open all windows and door to release the odor. Remember, the place had no AC and Tahoe was extremely hot this weekend, so we felt like we were in a Sauna. To top it off, the upstairs was extremely hot. So we all decided to stay downstairs. We booked this place for the rooms and available bathrooms, however the up stairs bathroom shower was not working properly. The shower head was barely shooting out any water. The attachment was squirting out more water than the shower head. That should definitely get fixed. The bottom shower was bearable so we all shared that shower. We understood it was a high price time for Cabins at the moment, but we paid a good amount of money and did expect a better experience. The furniture was worn out and could have been updated. The cabinets with the pots and pans were not cleaned. So, when we used any utensils or pots or pans we had to clean them. Overall, we were a bit disappointed because of the amount of money we put into this cabin. We felt we could’ve stayed at another one or the hotel with AC. However, owner was nice enough to let us check in early. We suggest, getting updated lights, cabinets, shower heads, and furniture.

Response from owner: "Dear Bilia, I am sorry you were not completely satisfied with your stay. The home clearly states that there is no AC, but there are ceiling and portable fans in all the rooms and I can not control the summer heat. As for the "odor", the home was rented the day before and the cleaning crew came in and turned the home around for you quickly and accommodated your early check-in request. The odor is due to the thorough cleaning and spray disinfectant fog that is used to deep clean due to COVID. As for the lighting and furniture, the home has two new chandeliers, lamps in all the bedrooms, and a new torchiere lamp in the upstairs loft room in addition to the wall bedside lamps and accent lamps. I have just put in a brand new table and chairs two weeks ago! As for the kitchen cabinets, they are honestly pictured in the home description, but I will be making sure that the cleaners take extra care when turning a home in less than 24 hours. I also I will be having the house manager check the shower heads for any calcium build-up!"

Great location

House needed a few updates especially kitchen appliances ,no coffee pot, we couldn’t get the electric fireplace going, spiderwebs everywhere but the backyard was a winter wonderland our kids really enjoyed it.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: - The dishwasher and oven range are in great working condition, as well as, the stainless steel fridge that is only two years old. - A coffee maker is provided for each guest's stay, it is located on the counter or under the cabinet. The cleaner confirmed the coffee pot was there, but we're sorry if you couldn't find it during your stay. - The owner tried to help you turn on the electric fireplace over the phone, and the cleaners confirmed that the fireplace is properly working. - The home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each guest's stay. The house is well maintained and doesn't have spider webs. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

Nothing but fun!

We had so much fun at this cozy, comfy cabin. There were 8 of us sleeping there but we had a couple of wonderful family dinners with 18 people that included little ones and teens. There was plenty of room for all. The owner's kitchen was terrific with nice, sharp knives, a crock pot and plenty of general cooking stuff. I loved the quiet neighborhood and Tahoe view from the living room and deck. It was about a 20 minute drive to Fallen Leaf Lake, our favorite lake and where family camped. We also saw a mama bear and little ones ambling across the far back of the property! We had great customer service and will definitely return.

Cute, with a good location.

Great little cabin with a decent amount of space, located close to all the activities in South lake. Owner responded promptly to text messages and allowed us to check in a bit early. My only quarrel is that the pictures make it look a lot larger than it is and the upstairs beds aren't comfortable. Downstairs beds were great though! I would recommend and I would stay again. All in all it suited our needs and was a relaxing place to stay in a nice neighborhood.

Awesome Cabin

We had so much fun in this cabin. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of beds for all. Fully equipped kitchen. The open floor plan was wonderful. Plenty of seating for us to enjoy everyone's company. I would definitely recommend this cabin. We will absolutely be back.

Cozy and vintage cabin with beautiful views

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the cabin. It is very cozy and comfortable. A little dated in decor, but very clean and we loved the vintage feel. Great location with easy road access. Lots of sleeping room for our group of seven. We enjoyed the gorgeous views out of the large living room windows while cuddled in front of the great fireplace. The best part of the property though, is the fantastic trail area behind the house. The whole family got to play in the snow every day right behind the house! It was great for snow play, a little sledding, and fantastic hiking in the snow! There is no cable in the house, but we enjoyed watching holiday movies from Netflix next to the beautiful Christmas tree the cabin owner had put up. The owner of the cabin was also wonderful in helping us to plan from the time we booked -- she was extremely kind and helpful! We really enjoyed our relaxing snowy stay at this warm and inviting cabin!

Beautiful and Comfortable Home

We found this vacation rental to be a lovely retreat. We were comfortable as well as close to restaurants, stores and recreation. It's well supplied, well maintained and cared for and well managed. It was easy to move in and relax. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We think this is a very good place to rent for any age and any group or family.

Nice S. Lake Tahoe Cabin

The house was nice, nothing fancy. Not the most updated style inside the house, but everything was in good shape. Fit our needs for 2.5 families (5 adults and 5 kids). It was a bit hot at night and no AC present. Opening windows and blowing the fans eventually got heat down. The owner was very receptive and communicated well with me when I wanted to come a little early for check in, so that was nice. Wi-Fi worked pretty well, but no cable TV (which wasn't too big a deal). Location was nice, but a little out of the way from the town, but whole area is small, so never too far away from anything. Would stay again.

Very enjoyable stay

Nice peaceful location for our stay in the area. Access to the main activities and the Lake was a ten minute drive but that was not an issue for us as we spent most of our time out on hiking trails in the Tahoe area. The house was roomy, well provided with equipment, and very clean. We enjoyed sitting out in the deck in late afternoon, although we could have done with a second lounger (one was broken) but that is a minor quibble. While we don't go on vacation to watch TV, on this occasion we found the lack of it to be a disappointment as we could not catch up on the Olympics. While Netflix and Amazon Prime are ok, the inability to keep up with the news was a disadvantage. All in all we were happy we chose the right property, and would go back without hesitation.

Nice S. Lake Tahoe Cabin

The house was nice, nothing fancy. Not the most updated style inside the house, but everything was in good shape. Fit our needs for 2.5 families (5 adults and 5 kids). It was a bit hot at night and no AC present. Opening windows and blowing the fans eventually got heat down. The owner was very receptive and communicated well with me when I wanted to come a little early for check in, so that was nice. Wi-Fi worked pretty well, but no cable TV (which wasn't too big a deal). Would stay again.

Great Lake Tahoe Property - Unique & close to town!

We loved staying at this property. My kids loved the woods and trails in the backyard, and we had plenty of room for both my sisters family and my family. We loved cooking out and loved how close the house was to South Lake Tahoe attractions!

Great long weekend day getaway

The property was very clean, loaded with all the bare necessities for a weekend getaway. My group and I had a great time and enjoyed our stay there. We had a couple questions about the property which were resolved almost immediately. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Great place

I love the log type of the house. It has all what we need. The place is very cozy and I felt I was really in my winter vacation. I will surely go back in this place for our next vacation.

Brithday Weekend

This place is amazing. It was able to comfortably lodge 10 people. The kitchen was well equipped with enough appliances and tools you'll need to cook a dish. Bathrooms are well managed and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The place is extremely convenient from Heavenly and local grocery stores. I would highly recommend this place for a quick get-away. Btw, the owners are very nice and helpful.

Highly Recommend this place!

Really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It looks just like the pictures and was very spacious for the 10 of us. I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back again!

Awesome Experience

The house was perfect.We enjoyed our stay here during thanksgiving weekend.Kitchen was well stocked.House was clean with plenty of hot water all day long.Easy access to all south lake Tahoe attractions.The house owner was very helpful.On the whole it was an awesome experience and we would love to come back again.
