Enjoy the AMAZING pool, palapa, waterfall, garden porch, fire pit and game room at this 3-bedroom house. Nestled in the heart of the town, at the foothills of San Diego's beautiful mountains, this adorable property is the perfect home away from home for guests with views of the mountains and Lake. It is Located right on the park! Lindo Lake County Park!
With 2 king bedrooms, 1 Queen Sofa Sleeper, 1 full bed, and 1 twin bed, everyone will have a comfortable place to rest. Stay connected with WiFi, stay cozy with heating cool with AC, and stay fresh with a washing machine and dryer. Plus, there's hair dryer and an iron for added convenience. Fall in love with Lakeside and enjoy the magic it has to offer. Fishing, Hiking and 4x4 trails nearby.

Welcome to The Birdhouse, a 1943 Historic Cottage located in beautiful Lakeside, CA! This rare gem has everything you could ever ask for in a vacation rental: an outdoor pool & spa, multiple patios, a palapa tiki bar, chef's kitchen, bonus game room, and SO MUCH more! Come take in the gorgeous lake views as you enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit, with the soothing sounds of the waterfall feature trickling in the background. You can't beat this paradise retreat, and we can't wait to host you!
The Space:
This corner lot beauty has a wonderful floorplan complete with two living spaces, a chef's kitchen, 4 TVs, 3 bedrooms (king in 1st room, full bed w/ trundle twin in 2nd room, king in master, and then in the living space there is a pullout couch ) and 2 bathrooms. There is also a hideaway bed in the sitting room for your extra guests. Laundry, central AC/ heat, parking for 4 cars + RV AND boat parking included! Make your way outside to a private entertainer's delight where you can relax on the comfortable outdoor couches and throw some burgers on the grill. Around the detached garage, you'll find a stunning salt water pool, bubbling jacuzzi, fire pit, a second bbq area, and the Tiki Bar. Did we mention the bonus game room?! Have some fun challenging your friends to a game of foosball or air hockey (loser buys the next round!). Grab our complimentary beach/picnic equipment -- including a surfboard & boogie boards -- and hit the road for a day at the shores. We have everything you would need to enjoy a day at the beach or bay. Want to go fishing? The lake is steps away!
Guest Access:
Guest access is completely contactless (you will be given a door code 3 days prior to check in). If you need anything, we are available 24/7 and the homeowners live 5 minutes up the road!
The Neighborhood:
Lakeside is a rustic, rural escape about 25 minutes outside of San Diego. From our home, you are 35 minutes to lovely Julian, 25 minutes to the beaches, SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo. There are multiple county parks surrounding the house, plenty of beautiful hiking trails, and of course, the lake!

We charge a pet fee of $100/ per stay. And we charge for additional pool heat $100/day (if you want the pool heated beyond the solar heating).

Our Lakeside retreat is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful mountains. Founded in 1886, Lakeside is rich in history. Behind the home is a small natural lake. It is truly a bird watcher's paradise.

Our property has a private sparkling pool to take a refreshing swim. You can enjoy our outdoor gas fire pit, maybe roast some marshmallows or hot dogs. We also have a palapa and private jacuzzi to enjoy! BONUS! Did we mention the game room? There is so much to do at our home without even leaving the property. Come make some memories at the Birdhouse SD.
