Enjoy your panoramic view of the Cape Fear River in historical downtown Wilmington!
Riverwalk Retreat is a lovely escape with breathtaking views on the water. Centrally located on Wilmington's downtown river walk, this elegant property offers a front row view of the Cape Fear River. The vibrant river walk features some of Wilmington's favorite restaurants, shops and a view of the USS North Carolina WWll battleship.

Elegantly appointed, this is a quaint one bedroom unit with a queen bed, full bathroom, washer/dryer. This charming unit is bright and vibrant with a cozy living room, which leads to a balcony with a full view of the river walk.

Within walking distance of all that downtown Wilmington has to offer: restaurants, shops, tours of all varieties: water boat, walking, carriage, trolley, ghost and historical. Enjoy the view of our majestic battleship. Within 15-20 minutes, the beaches, theaters, UNCW, concert venue are a short drive away.

Guests will have access to the entire condo during their stay. We do have a locked owner's closet for our storage, but otherwise everything in the condo is available to use.

This unit is self check in. Hosts will be available through messaging.

We provide a parking pass for one car in a parking garage located a few blocks from the condo.

Please be sure to review our cancellation policy prior to making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.

Loved the location and amenities of this bright airy condo! It’s conveniently located to restaurants and shops in historic downtown Wilmington plus the kitchen boasts everything you could need to prepare simple meals. Parking pass for a nearby parking deck (three short blocks away) worked great, as walking is the best way to move thru downtown. We were a little concerned about the possibility of ambient noise from the riverwalk and nearby venues, but the condo is well-insulated and soundproof. Our only issue was finding the correct set of stairs to access the condo .. use the last set of _enclosed_ stairs on the right side of the building, not the final set of _exterior_ stairs. We absolutely recommend this condo to anyone who’s staying in downtown Wilmington!

Our Overall experience was very positive. The condo was beautifully located on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the river, where we could see the sunset every night and watch the tour boats load and others pass by. Numerous restaurants were literally located within a 5 minute walk, yet we were also walking distance to various other attractions, guided tours, and souvenir shops. Inside the condo was a living room with a large sofa, lounge chair, and coffee table. This room was open to the kitchen that had a counter and bar stools, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, numerous cooking utensils and spices, and cups, glasses, and dishes, pots and pans, and silverware. The bathroom was adequate in size with hand soap and 3-in-1 soap in the shower. The shower had plenty of water pressure! The bedroom was large with a washer and dryer in the closet, and lots of extra pillows. If you are not planning to both sleep in the queen size bed. You will need to bring your own sheets and blankets if you want to sleep on the sofa. Lastly, the condo was easy to find, though we never did find the free 15 minute parking place to unload. We just parked at the bottom of the steps and ran our things up. The parking garage is about a 10 minute walk, but it is free to park there. Communication with the owner was timely and we would highly recommend staying here.

Such a great place. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, balcony was great for relaxing and taking in the views of battleship/riverwalk. Easy walk to nearby shops and restaurants.

Lovely visit!

I love this area so much, I’ve made several visits within this neighborhood and this was my favorite spot! Great restaurants within walking distance, incredible sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed from the balcony. Jody was incredibly helpful, the space was spotless and very welcoming! I would highly recommend!

Bumpy Start

We found the check in and parking to be challenging. In other VRBO experiences the codes were emailed day of arrival. That works better for us. Parking blocks away was a challenge as well. Wish the lot on the corner behind the property was being used.We would rent it again, but hope for emailed codes and better parking next time. Luckily we found assistance in a nearby shop. Without that we would have had to drive home.

Perfect couple’s get away.

My wife and I rented this condo for our 20th anniversary. The condo was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed for our stay. The location is absolutely perfect. I could have sat on the deck all day with the light breeze that was blowing off the river. It’s crazy how many restaurants and bars are within a few blocks of this condo. The parking pass is a big bonus, even though everything you need is within a short walk. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect spot

Unit was just as described, very clean and great location. We made lots of our meals in the unit, and it had everything we needed. Check in and check out were very easy. Will definitely rebook next time we head to UNCW.

GREAT LOCATION and COZY PLACE

This property is in the heart of the Riverwalk. You can not get better views than this. The parking is a little walk down the road but always had spots available and never felt uncomfortable. The loading and unloading area was confusing and we never found the "driveway" for that, but we packed light and didn't have any issues walking our stuff from the parking spot. The description of what stairs to use was a little confusing. It said the stairs closest to the far right. Those stairs were not for the unit. It was the first set of stairs that are enclosed from the right of the building. Again not something we couldn't manage just a bit confusing. There is no TV in the bedroom, which isn't a deal breaker but we like to have it on at night to fall asleep to. The laundry was a bonus, it is in the bedroom. The windows and doors being open was amazing. The fresh breeze and sounds of the boardwalk. No major issues, we did have issues with the bedroom fan and half the lights were out in the bathroom but when contacting the owner they were quick to respond and get someone over there. Again, we would 1000 times stay at this property. It was so comfortable, offers everything you need and THE VIEWS and LOCATION ARE THE BEST!

Location of the condo was perfect for convenience and views. Love the Riverwalk. The beauty of the Cape Fear River was a walk onto our private balcony to enjoy. Elijah’s is one of my favorite restaurants on Riverwalk and was walking distance.
