These houses are NOT close to each other. They are a little under a mile from each other, making it difficult for a big group (it's a hilly walk - if you're carrying bags, you'd want a car). The distance of the houses is not stated in the listing, which would have prevented me from booking altogether. Only after booking do you find out the separate addresses, and they had a no refund policy (that's how they get you).One house was okay. Not in the best shape, kitchen didn't have much, holes in the walls. But it had a lot of beds and a nice porch (which didn't have nearly enough furniture for the number of people that can fit in this house. We did a lot of sitting on the floor).The other house smelled horribly of glade plug-ins. After removing them, the house just smelled like old cigarette smoke. Nobody in our party wanted to use that house at all, and we mostly crammed together in the other house, which was not a good sleeping arrangement for that many people. The property manager was responsive about the odor, and they spent an entire day of our stay "deodorizing" it. They refunded me the amount for one night/one house, which was hardly anything. Please know the deodorizing did NOT work, it smelled like years of old smoke, so I don't know if they will be able to get that out.Communication leading up to the trip was bad. It felt like I was chatting with AI, not a person. Check-in instructions were promised on a Monday but didn't come until Thursday (the day of).
